I’m talking weekly involvement with an hour of intentional mastermind time along with accountability partners keep you fully engaged in working on the right work, over the right period of time, and for the right purpose.

MasterMind To Personal Power does what I have dreamed of my entire career. You see, I have been an educator for 30 years. I have researched education practice, theory, and reality. I know that what you were taught in school didn’t prepare you entirely for the economic realities of today. I also know that people have never been taught the right way to become involved in a MasterMind group. Understanding the science of consciousness, the science of how the brain works, the importance of the subconscious mind, and the power behind positive thought and supportive friends is what Andrew Carnegie discovered and had Napoleon Hill research and write about.

As a coach and consultant you are struggling getting enough clients on your schedule to get your business off the ground or to even keep it open. The very people you want to help and need your help the most are the ones who can’t afford it. You may have even tried doing mastermind groups but found them to be effective, but short lived. It makes sense to give people a lower cost way to receive coaching and do it in groups so that it becomes cost effective for you. But, they don’t stay. Why?

There’s no real incentive to stay. Yes, they may make some small incremental improvements but they don’t stay. There’s no reason for them to remain. The mastermind falls apart.

At MasterMind To Personal Power we have figured it out. We have combined a powerful new curriculum that teaches the proper procedures for running masterminds, allow for those procedures to become routines, and thus creating a solid structure from which to build a very successful practice.

The best way to learn something is to teach it! As an educator, I read, studied, and believe in John Dewey’s educational philosophy – “experience it and do it.” I have always like to say the Dewey’s philosophy was about “Doing.”

When you become a member of an MMTPP mastermind group, you are automatically in training to become a facilitator. Within a short couple of weeks, you will have the necessary information and material to begin facilitating your own groups. And, those in your group(s) are paying to be there and also training to become facilitators. Because we have designed MMTPP to develop what we call a mastermind marketing model, you can earn a substantial income.

We are the first company of its kind and we are revolutionizing self-development and coaching worlds. In fact, we are so certain that it is such a sustainable business model that it will revolutionize the entire world.

We are building this company organically. Only serious people need consider joining a group and becoming facilitators.

If you would like to learn how to get involved in an MMTPP mastermind group as well as become a facilitator and expand your practice exponentially, please contact me at ron@mmtpp.com I have observed their reactions and am impressed with how they have both handled the news and treatment!

My Sunday School teacher was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and has undergone chemo and radiation which has been painful and lengthy. He has now gone through his first complete round of these treatments and must now wait for the healing from the radiation in order for the doctors to further determine what will need to happen next. Throughout his diagnosis and treatment he has maintained his faith and positive attitude. He hasn't missed one Sunday! Even when he couldn't talk due to the radiation burns, he has been there smiling and inspiring.

My mentor and good friend, Brian Tracy, announced recently that he has throat cancer, and that he is now involved with chemo treatments and will start radiation at the end of May. He wrote on his blog: "When you think about it, having cancer can be a metaphor for any big problem or unexpected setback in life. It happens unexpectedly, like job loss, bankruptcy, or divorce. You react with surprise, shock, and dismay. Then, you finally accept “the facts on the ground.” From that point onward, the only thing that matters is how you deal with it. Do you accept the new reality and get busy doing what is in your power to do, or do you become angry or depressed and blame other people or circumstances?"

How we COPE with sudden crisis determines whether we succeed or fail. Remaining calm in any crisis is key to surviving it. Over-reaction, panic, and burying your head in the sand won't solve the issue. Take the attitude that this is just another of life's challenges and that with patience, prayer, persistence and perserverance you can overcome. Let's explore how to COPE with a life crisis.

The "C" in COPE stands for "Challenge." That is not to say that a crisis if fun, but if you stand back, take a deep breath, and begin to assess the situation you can look at it as a challenge. As Brian and my Sunday School teacher both immediately adopted a positive mindset, so we must also adopt a positive attitude when the inevitable crisis occurs. Don't get caught up playing the game, "Ain't It Awful." Meet the challenge head on!

The "O" in COPE is "Opportunity." I realize that while you're in the midst of crisis you not saying to yourself "wow, this is a great opportunity!" But, as you endure and move through things, you will learn from it and may possibly share it with others. Learning from life's challenges should make us better people. Often however, it can make people bitter not better. That is not the way you handle crisis...you will be better!

Now is a good time to remind you that some skeptics out there will try to argue from the point of extremes. A terminal diagnosis which is often an immediate crisis and one that we will probably all face at some point, does not have to make you bitter. My brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 39. He chose to live life to its fullest, looked upon it as a blessing to allow him time to get closer with God, and to experience the love of his family to the fullest. He died 8 months after the diagnosis and did more in that amount of time to live and love than he had in years. Never argue from the point of extreme! That is the weakest point of argument and is best left to those who bury themselves in self-pity and ignorance. My brother didn't become bitter...he became better in terms of his relationships, his emotions and his spirituality.

The "P" in COPE is "Preparation." In a crisis it is important not to overreact or act in haste. Remember the TV show Happy Days? The kids always hung out at "Al's" Diner. Al was the owner and chef and sometimes counselor to Richie, Pottsy, Ralph and the rest of the gang. Anytime he was approach by one of the teens about a problem he would stand back, run his hand down his face, and say, "yep, yep, yep, yep" and it would take a while before he would really give a response. Step back and be "Al" in a crisis. Take time to prepare how you're going to handle it. Think through the steps you need to take, and never rush into action. Seek out the wise counsel of others, listen to what they say, then prepare your response. Once you have taken the time to prepare, you will know in your heart if what you're planning is the right thing to do.

The "E" in COPE is "Execution." Once you have had the chance to adopt an attitude of "Challenge, Opportunity, and Preparation" you need to set in motion whatever is necessary to deal with it. Taking action is what most people don't do well. They may actually go through the entire process I just shared, but then won't take the next step to make it happen. Fear paralyzes them, but as Brian Tracy has said to me many times, "Do the thing you fear the most, and the fear will go away."

This whole "COPE" process may only take a few minutes or hours, or it may take days. However, using this model will help. You may not always get the results you're seeking, but will have a better shot at getting there than with no strategy at all.

I hope this has been helpful to you, and I hope you'll take some time to share your thoughts on this post. Do you accept the new reality and get busy doing what is in your power to do, or do you become angry or depressed and blame other people or circumstances?" How we COPE with sudden crisis determines whether we succeed or fail. Fear paralyzes them, but as Brian Tracy has said to me many times, "Do the thing you fear the most, and the fear will go away." This whole "COPE" process may only take a few minutes or hours, or it may take days. However, using this model will help. You may not always get the results you're seeking, but will have a better shot at getting there than with no strategy at all. I hope this has been helpful to you, and I hope you'll take some time to share your thoughts on this post. Please sign up to follow my blog and let's "COPE" with whatever life gives us! It is the foundation of happy families, companies, and organizations. It assures survival, civility, and blessings of a peaceful cooperation. Your character is the crystallization of your true values and beliefs, your innermost convictions. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said with regard to character, "What you are shouts at me so loudly that I can't hear a word you
say."

Choices and Decisions
Everything you do in life involves a choice, a decision on your part. Because you have so many options, you are constantly choosing among alternatives, between what you value more and what you value less. Your choices and actions tell you and others what you truly value the most, or intend that reveals your character. It is only what you do at the moment of choosing, especially when you have to choose between what is right and what is expedient.

The Core Quality of Character
The core quality of character is integrity. This can be measured by how absolutely honest one is with himself and others. The depth of your integrity largely determines the strength of your commitment to each of your other values. A person of great character is one who would never compromise his or her "sacred honor" under any
circumstances.

The Measure of Character

Strength of character can be measured on a scale from one to ten, from lowest to highest. In addition, each separate quality or virtue can be organized on a scale of intensity from one to ten. How high a person ranks on the scale of one to ten in any particular virtue and in the measure of character overall is determined by the percentage of the time that individual practices that quality throughout his or her daily life.

Justification and Rationalization
Most people know there is something inherently wrong with taking free money, with living off the government, with being dependent and making no contribution to the society in which they live. To compensate for this deep inner feeling of unease, people who are getting something for nothing create elaborate justifications and rationales to explain to themselves, and to others, why they are entitled to this free money. Every rationale or excuse comes back to the same explanation, those people have low moral character.

The Need to Lead
The greatest need we have today, in every area, is for men and women to practice the values of integrity, discipline, responsibility, courage, and long-term perspective, both as individuals in the workplace and with their families. These are the key qualities of leadership. Our society needs leaders at all levels that have high
moral character, and know the difference between right and wrong.

Action Exercise
The true mark of the superior person is that he sets high standards for himself and refuses to compromise those standards for any reason. He sees himself as a role model for others. He behaves at all times as if everyone were watching, even when no one is watching. What high standards do you want to uphold in your life and business?

________________________________________________________

This is Life's Missing Instruction Manual.

Understand the secrets of success, wealth, happiness and achievement in this program. In its simplest terms, selling is the process of persuading a person that your product or service is of greater value to him than the price you are asking for it. Our market society is based on the principles of freedom of choice and mutual benefit. Each party enters into a transaction when he feels that he will be better off as a result of the transaction than he would be without it.

Convince the Customer
For the customer to buy your particular product or service, he or she must be convinced, not only that is it the best choice of product or service available, but also that there is no better way for him to spend the equivalent sum of money that it costs. Your job as a salesperson is to convince the customer that these conditions exist and then to elicit a commitment from him to take action on your offer.

The Critical Factor: Risk
The critical factor in selling today is risk. Because of the continuous change, rapid obsolescence, and an uncertain economy, the risk of buying the wrong product or service has become greater than ever before. There are four main factors that contribute to the perception of risk in the mind and heart of the customer.

Size of the Sale
The first factor that contributes to risk is the size of the sale. The larger the scale, the more money involved, the greater the risk. If a person is buying a package of Lifesavers, the risk of satisfaction or dissatisfaction is insignificant. But if a person is buying a computer system for their company, the risk factor is magnified by hundreds of thousands of times. Whenever you are selling a product that has a high price on it, you must be aware that risk enters into the buyer's calculations immediately.

People Affected by the Decision
The second factor contributing to the perception of risk is the number of people who will be affected by the buying decision. Almost every complex buying decision involves several people. There are people who must use the product or service. There are people who must pay for the product or service. There are people who are dependent of the results expected from the product or service. If a person is extremely sensitive to the opinions of others, this factor alone can cause him or her to put off a buying decision.

Length of Life of the Product
The third factor contributing to the perception of risk is the length of life of the product. A product or service that, once installed, is meant to last for several years, generates the feeling of risk. The customer panics and thinks, "What if it doesn't work and I'm stuck with it."

Unfamiliarity
The fourth major risk factor is the customer's unfamiliarity with you, your company, and your product or service. A first-time buyer, one who has not bought the product or service before, or who has not bought it from you, is often nervous and requires a lot of hand-holding. Anything new or different makes the average customer tense and uneasy. This is why a new product or service, or a new business relationship with your company, has to be presented as a natural extension of what the customer is already doing.

Action Exercise
Identify the risks that a customer might find with your product or service. Once you had clearly defined those risks it will be easier to find solutions to them to ease nervous customers.

Make Continual Course Corrections

January 23, 2010

Make Continual Course Corrections
By Brian Tracy

Problems, difficulties, and setbacks are a normal, natural, and unavoidable part of life and business. When you set a new goal or launch toward a new destination, you will experience challenges and difficulties that you never expected or anticipated. By the true test of character is the inevitable and unavoidable crisis. Your ability to solve problems is important, but your ability to deal with a crisis largely determines your success or failure in life.

Leadership Abilities
In a multi-year study conducted at Stanford University, researchers examined the annual performance appraisals of hundreds of presidents and chief executive officers of Fortune 1000 companies, some of the most successful executives in every business or industry. This study revealed that top executives had two dominant qualities in common. The first was the ability to function well as a member of a team. When they were starting out, they were good team players, making valuable contributions to the teams they were on. As they were promoted to more senior positions, they demonstrated the ability to bring together winning teams of talented people and organize them to accomplish important goals and results for their companies.

The Most Important Leadership Quality
The second, and most important, quality that top leaders had in common was the ability to function well in a crisis. Top people in every field had demonstrated throughout their careers that they were able to deal effectively with the inevitable crisis when it came along. The ability to deal with a crisis could be learned and demonstrated only in a real crisis, an unpredictable and unexpected reversal or setback that had the potential to cause major damage of some kind. During such a crisis, the true leader would emerge to save the situation and resolve the problem.

How Leaders Perform in Crisis
Over the years, I have worked with the presidents and chief executive officers of many large companies. I have coached, counseled, and consulted with millionaires, multimillionaires, and even billionaires. I have been able to watch them up close and personal. One quality that they all seemed to demonstrate was their ability to remain calm and cool when faced with a major reversal or setback. When they were confronted with a problem or crisis, they seemed to be able to turn on a switch in their minds that enabled them to become calm and completely in control.

Harold Geneen, the past president of IT&T, a 150 company conglomerate, once said that the most important step in dealing with any business problem was to get the facts. He said, "Get the real facts. Not the assumed facts, the apparent facts, the obvious facts, or the hoped for facts. Keep digging until you get the real facts. Facts don't lie." The more information (the greater number of facts) he gathered about any problem or crisis, the more obvious the correct solution or course of action. The solution would seem to emerge as the result of delving deeper and deeper into the problem.

Action Exercise
The most valuable skill you bring to your life and your work is your ability to think calmly and clearly. This requires that you deliberately practice a form of detachment when you are dealing with unexpected reversal. Next time you need to solve a problem, imagine that you are a consultant who has been brought in to analyze this problem or crisis and make recommendations.

Click Here For Some Exciting News From Brian Tracy

<img style="cursor: pointer; Now you can determine the strategies and tactics that you can use to achieve your goals and arrive at your destination on schedule.

Develop Options Continually
One of the most important rules that I have ever learned is this: You are only as free as your well-developed options. Before you can plan your time and your life, you must be absolutely clear about both the hourly rate that you are earning today and the hourly rate that you want to earn in the future. Every hour that you spend on a low-value or no-value activity is
costing you $25, $50, or more.

Determine the Highest and Best Use of Your Time
Whatever job you choose to take, company you choose to make with your money, or time you choose to spend on a particular activity, think it through carefully in advance and be certain that
you are making the highest and best use of your time and resources.

Refuse to Settle
Abraham Maslow once wrote, "The story of the human race is the story of men and women selling themselves short." Many people, because of fear and timidity, settle for far less than they are truly capable of achieving. They stay in jobs they don't like. They stay in relationships that don't make them happy. They invest their money in things they don't understand and leave

their money there long after they realize they've made a mistake. If you are not satisfied with any part of your life, with your current seat selection, remember that you can always pay a price to be free.

Ask for What You Want
In business and in your personal life, remember that every term or condition that you are ever offered has been decided by someone and can be changed by someone else. Whether this involves the pay and conditions of a job, the terms of a contract, the costs of products or services, rental or lease rates of offices or equipment, or bank terms for loans of credit, if you are not happy for any reason, don't be reluctant to ask for something different.

Cast a Wide Net
The rule with ideas is this: Quality is a function of quantity. This means that the more ways you achieve your goal that you consider before you embark on your journey, the better will be the quality of the choice you make. Cast a wide net. Don't fall in love with the first idea that occurs to
you. You must continually remind yourself that emotions distort evaluations. This means that the more emotional you become about a course of action at the beginning, the less able you will be to make the best decisions and determine the best way to reach your destination.

Action Exercise
Imagine that you are a consultant who has been brought into advise yourself on the very best course of action for you to take to achieve a goal or reach a destination. As your own consultant, force yourself to remain calm, cool, and objective about the advice that you give to yourself.

Give yourself the Business Growth System Full Assessment as a part of your action exercise: It's cost nothing, but could be worth a fortune! These are the key qualities of leadership.

Our society needs leaders at all levels who practice the principles that lead to long-term success. Especially, we need people in positions of authority and political power to support and encourage others, whose lives and work they influence, to develop character and resist the tendency to act expediently in ways that are harmful to themselves and others.

Everyone needs to take "The Values Pledge," to live by it, and then encourage others to live by it. It is only the solid bulwark of character, based on values, virtues, long-term thinking, and the accurate assessment of secondary consequences that can curb and mitigate the destructive influences and behavior of the Expediency Factor (the E-Factor)

Live In Truth
The philosopher Immanuel Kant postulated what he called "The Universal Maxim." He suggested that "you should live your life as though your every act were to become universal law for all people." The very best judge of truth for you is to ask, "Is it true for me?" If everyone was to be encouraged to live their life as though your every act were to become universal principle for all others, most government policies and programs would be abolished overnight. The fact is, that the only way that many "something for nothing" ideas in government and society can be put forward is with the hope that most people will not take advantage of them.

Think about it. What if everyone were to go on welfare? What if everyone were to apply for every government program that was available to them? What if everyone dedicated themselves to doing the very least amount of work that they could get away with? What if everyone began spending all their time trying to get free money from anywhere that it might be available?

"Leaders Are Made, Not Born"
Leaders have a sense of missions--vision--that uplifts, motivates and inspires men and women to heights to help them achieve that vision. Leaders make things happen.

Would you like to be able to motivate, inspire and uplift people to achieve your vision?

Four Questions to Stay on Track
There are four questions that you can ask and answer every day to keep yourself on track in each part of your life. First, ask yourself; "What kind of a world would this be if everyone in it was just like me?"

When you ask and answer this question honestly, you will admit that if everyone in the world was just like you, this would probably not be the best of all possible worlds. Look inside yourself and think about some of the things that you could change or do differently to become a better "citizen of the world."

The second question you can ask is, "What kind of a country would America be, if everyone in it was just like me?"

This is perhaps the most important question that we can ask and answer for ourselves. If everyone in America did the same thing that you did, every single day, would America be better, happier, healthier, and a more prosperous democracy? If not, what are some of the changes that you could make in your behaviors that would make America a better place?

The third question you can ask is, "What kind of a company would my company be if everyone in it was just like me?"

If you are honest with yourself, you will see different things that you could do to become a more valuable and important contributor to your company. Perhaps you should start a little earlier, work a little harder or stay a little later. Perhaps you could volunteer for more assignments, or upgrade your knowledge and skills as they relate to your job. How could you become the very best person you could possibly become at your work?
The final question, and perhaps the more important, is, "What kind of family would my family be if everyone in it was just like me?"

If everyone in your family behaved the way you do, and treated everyone else the way you treat them, would your family be a warmer, happier, and more loving group of people? What could you do, starting today, to be a better family member?

Take the High Road
The true mark of the superior person is that he sets high standards for himself, and refuses to compromise those standards for any reason. He sees himself as a role model for others. He behaves at all times as if everyone was watching, even when no one is watching.

The truly superior person does not give into forces of expediency. He does not seek something for nothing. He refuses to take anything to which he is not entitled. He insists upon earning everything he gets. He practices the Golden Rule and treats everyone the way he would like to be treated himself. He sets high standards for himself and continually strives to meet those standards. If everyone in America were to take the pledge below, this would be a better country in every way.

Action Exercise
Take the Values Pledge
"I hereby resolve to clarify my values and then to live by those values, to remain true to the very best I know, and to be the best person I can possibly be.
"I will not compromise what I know to be right for any reason. I will live my life as though my every act was to become a universal law for everyone else."

Get started making improvements in your life today. Here's what Brian had to say today about keeping your sales funnel full.

Enjoy the post! - Ron Stebelton

Keeping Your Sales Funnel Full
By Brian Tracy

Professional selling has three stages, which have been the same throughout history. They are prospect, present, and follow up. These three phases constitute the three parts of the "sales funnel." If your sales and income are down, it is because you are not prospecting enough, presenting enough, or following up and closing enough. The way to increase your sales is usually for you to increase the quality or quantity of your activities in one or more of these areas.

Imagine Your Funnel
Imagine the basic sales model as a funnel. At the top of the funnel, you put in prospects. You have to call on a certain number of people, or suspects, to get a certain number of prospects. This number varies depending on the market, your product or service, your individual skills in prospecting, advertising, and many other factors.

Presenting
The second part of the sales funnel is presenting. There is a direct ratio between the number of people you call on initially and the number of people who will agree to meet with you. Let us say, for example, that you have to call on twenty prospects to get five presentations. This would give you a ratio of 20 to 5 for your prospecting activities. Selling is very much a numbers game.

Follow Up and Close
In the third part of the sales funnel you have following up and closing. Let us say that you have to follow up with two prospects to get one sale. What this means is that you have to put twenty prospects in the top of the funnel to get one sale out of the bottom of the funnel, a ratio of 20 to 1. The rule therefore is this "keep your funnel full."

Prospecting Power
The definition of a good prospect is "Someone who can and will buy and pay within a reasonable period of time." Do not waste your precious selling time with nice people who do not have the authority, money, or ability to buy from you. Think continually about your personal income, and always be sure that the person you are talking to can contribute to that income soon enough to justify the time you are investing in him or her.

Qualities of a Good Prospect

The prospect has a genuine need that your product/service can fill.

The prospect is friendly toward you and have a favorable impression of your company and industry.

The prospect is willing and able to make a buying decision in the near future.

The prospect is a good potential source of further sales and referrals.

Qualities of Poor Prospects

The prospect has no money or need for your product or service.

The prospect is critical of you, your company, or your product.

The prospect immediately haggles and complains about your price.

The prospect is indecisive about purchasing from you or anyone.

Action Exercise
Develop a powerful opening statement or question that will immediately grab the attention and interest of a good prospect for what you sell.

The Law of Superb Execution

By Brian Tracy

Leaders are committed to excellent performance of the business task at hand, and to continuous improvement. A leader is the person who chooses the area of excellence for his or her team. A leader knows that excellence is a journey, not a destination. Leaders are committed to being the best in everything they do. They constantly strive to be better in their key result areas. They compare themselves with people, organizations, and products or services that are better than they are, and they are continually improving.

Standards of Excellence

Leaders set standards of excellence for everyone who reports to them. They are ruthless about weeding out incompetence and poor performance. Leaders demand quality work and insist that people do their jobs well. The leader sets the standard of excellence. No one, or no part of the organization, can be any better than the standard that the leader represents and enforces. For this reason, leaders are committed to personal excellence in everything they do.

Leaders are Learners

Leaders are learners, continually striving to be better in their work and personal lives. They read, take additional courses and seminars, and listen to audio programs in their cars. They attend conventions and association meetings, go to the important sessions, and take good notes. They are committed to learning and growing in every area where they feel they can make an even more valuable contribution to their work.

Inspiring People

People are most inspired when they feel they are working for an organization in which excellence is expected. The very best way to motivate and inspire others is for you to announce your commitment to being the best in your field or industry. Then, continually benchmark your performance and the performance of your organization against the very "best in class" in your business.

Core Competencies

Leaders identify their core competencies, the vital tasks they do that are responsible for them being in business. They continually look for ways to upgrade these core competencies to assure that they maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace. Leaders think about the future and identify the core competencies that will be required for success in the years ahead. They then develop plans to acquire those core competencies well before they will be needed to compete effectively in the marketplace of tomorrow.

Action Exercise

Identify your personal core competencies. What are the essential skills of your job, the abilities that make you valuable, if not indispensable? What core competencies do you need to acquire if you want to be the best in your field in the years ahead? Make a plan today to develop the key skills and core competencies you will need tomorrow.

A job is something you do for money. A career is something you do based on an inner desire and motivation. Even if you aren’t in the “perfect” career at the moment, you can still get happiness out of your work - if you are willing to passionately throw yourself, your talents and skills into your work.

People who are paid exactly what they are worth (or more) often find themselves replaced, declared obsolete or reengineered out of the organization. On the other hand, people who are underpaid for the amount and quality of the service they provide are always in highest demand - so money and opportunity are always chasing them.

Keep the level of your yearning and learning, ahead of your earning. Be inspired to learn as much as you can, to know as much as you can, to gain skills as much as you can, to find a cause and a passion which benefits humankind - and you’ll be sought after for your quality of service and your dedication to excellence.

Your power, passion and motivation will make you oblivious to quitting time and to the length of your workday. You will awake each and every morning with the passion of pursuit, not just the pursuit of a paycheck and true happiness will be a natural by-product of the passion you are putting into your work.

Those who deliver more in service than they expect to receive in compensation are always sought for and are always in demand. Their name and their work outlive them, and their services always command the highest price. Therefore, you would be most wise to - chase your passion, not your pension!

Bill Gates, who dropped out of college to found Microsoft and become one of the wealthiest individuals in the world before reaching age 40, could retire with a lifestyle of the rich and famous. But he won’t. At a computer industry meeting he told the audience that even though he could do anything he wants, his greatest thrill is to go to work every day and find exciting problems in search of solutions.

Everyone told the artist Renoir to give up painting because he had no talent. A group of artists who were rejected by the establishment of their time formed their own little team consisting of Degas, Pissarro, Monet, Cezanne, and Renoir – five of the all-time great masters, doing what they believed in, pursuing their passions while the critics laughed and mocked. One Parisian expert looked over Renoir’s paintings and sneered: “You are, I presume, dabbling in paint to amuse yourself.” To which Renoir rapidly and passionately replied: “Of course! When it ceases to amuse me, I will stop painting.”

In Renoir’s later life he suffered from advanced rheumatism, particularly in his hands. When Matisse stopped by to see the aging painter, he noticed that every brush stroke caused Renoir great pain. And Matisse asked: “Why is it that you still work? Why do you continue to push yourself?” Renoir slowly answered: “The pain passes, but the pleasure, the creation of beauty, remains.”

Remember – by putting your passion first, you will be able to enjoy happiness today and create a legacy which will truly last.

This lesson brought to by Expert Directed Guided Education (EDGE) and iLearningGlobal. Successful entrepreneurs are those who can bring these two vital facets together.

The world is filled with visionaries and strategist who can spew forth great ideas, inspiring concepts and blue-sky, shoot-the-moon opportunities. Unfortunately, many of them are never able to transform those visions into practical, tactical applications which can be executed in order to produce real results.

Even on an individual level there are scores of people who have dreams of grandeur while their head rests on the pillow, or have compelling visions of what is possible when standing in the shower – yet, without any specific tactics they simply lead to frustration and disappointment. With no clear daily tactics the way becomes so slow that victory is often lost, not for lack of opportunity, but for lack of time, resources and energy.

The old saying, “Where there is no vision, the people perish,” is as true today as it was in centuries gone by. Tactics without vision or strategy is drudgery and in the end all of the effort is nothing more than the noise before defeat or window dressing on an empty home. And yet, so many individuals and businesses end up laser focused on day-to-day tactics which are completely disconnected from any strategic path. Ultimately this leads to being busy, but not productive, having much motion, but no forward movement.

Combine the two – strategy and tactics and you will set yourself up for instant impact and real results. As a leader you must constantly strive to connect the dots for those you lead. It is part of your role to continually help those you lead see the vital connection between your strategy and the daily tactics they carry out.

Sun Tzu was right, Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.” Together every opportunity will be yours and nothing will keep you from success.

Another lesson from iLearningGlobal and Expert Directed Guided Education! We are bombarded with messages from the media that tell us to look elsewhere for our success.

We are even told that we aren’t smart enough, young enough, secure enough, rich enough or bold enough unless we use their product, drive their car or go on their vacation. Far too many of us are on a wild goose chase in search of some holy grail that will suddenly make us rich, secure, happy and successful.

With all of this searching, more and more of us are getting depressed and discouraged with our lot in life. We feel as though we just don’t have what it takes to be successful and happy. We truly need to stop looking outside and beyond and start looking inside and beneath our own skin to find what success is really all about.

Dr. Russell Conwell of Temple University once delivered a lecture that was quoted in a December 1980 edition of the wall Street Journal. Dr. Conwell told of a man in Titusville, Pennsylvania, who sold his farm for $833 to go off and search for oil in Canada. The man continued his search for many years but never hit oil, never found success and finally gave up his quest in frustration. He had searched high and low for the magic spot that would give him all the success and security he dreamed of. Yet in his chase he came up entirely empty.

The man who purchased the farm for $833, however, settled into his new environment and worked hard at his labors each day. As he dug a well for additional water, he found instead a rich well of oil and launched a billion dollar industry.

Today, with faster communications and transportation, instant access to information and people, it is ever easier to look at the fact that the grass may appear greener on the other side. Yet what really counts is what is going in your own back yard and what is going on in between your own two ears.

The old saying is true that success is like a butterfly -- the more you chase it the more it eludes you-- but if you will settle in and focus on the task at hand, it will come and softly land on your shoulder. So unpack your bags, bloom where you are planted and find the success, joy and satisfaction that is waiting for you, right where you are – blooming in your own back yard.

This lesson is provided by Expert Directed Guided Education (EDGE) and is available as one of the powerful membership options on iLearningGlobal the online learning system I use with my coaching clients. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle

<o p=""></o>Excellence is never an accident - true, lasting, sustainable excellence is a natural by-product of repeated, disciplined action. There are certain disciplines required if you are going to run your business and live your live with excellence.

The legendary Vince Lombardi declared, "Winning isn't a sometimes thing, it is an all the time thing. Winning is a habit - and unfortunately, so is losing." If you are going to win, win big and win over an extended period of time - you must develop the habits of excellence.

Every area of life or business has a set of disciplines or habits which are vital to sustained excellence and success. There are two major factors to developing and deploying these habits of excellence. First, you must understand what the vital habits, skills, attitudes and disciplines are, and second, you must then put yourself on a course to develop them from within.

Talent is important, gifts are great, natural ability goes a long way. Yet, without the discipline to develop the habits of excellence, you will be doomed to mediocrity and middle of the road performance. The path to peak performance personal excellence is littered with talented people who never developed the necessary discipline.

Begin today to identify the habits of excellence you need in your business, or any other area of life, you wish to improve. Then go out and repeat, practice and internalize - make these disciplines true, reflex habits and you will be on your way to achieving the extraordinary.

To learn more about how you can get the EDGE in your personal and professional life visit: http://www.theilgmarketer.com

To learn more about what Life Coaching can do to help you get the EDGE in your pesonal and professional life visit: http://www.myedgeadvantage.com

Life Coaching And You!

From: Ron Stebelton, Certified Professional Coach
Re: Reinventing Yourself Through Life Coaching

Does your life seem out of balance?
