Our Justin Lookadoo evening was awesome!

Justin Lookadoo at Mafair UMC was a great success. About 400 youth and adults enjoyed food and fellowship as well as an inspirational evening. Huge thanks to Justin for sharing his "Is it Holy?" message with us last night. We had a Sanctuary packed full of youth, with an overflow of adult Mafairians watching live video in the Fellowship Hall.

Thanks to all of the Mafair family that came out in such a quick and loving way - you helped put Mafair on the Map. And more importantly, we served our community. Justin Lookadoo says "Mafair rocks!!!"

Help with Lookadoo

Hello Mafairians!
We have just learned that we need 4 volunteers to man and operate
Justin Lookadoo's merchandise tables tomorrow night. You will be
needed from 4:45-8 PM. His tables will be set up in the K-2 Classroom
(Room 107) off the main hallway.

Other volunteers also are needed to help usher, greet and point guests
in the right direction. Kitchen help also is needed.

If you can do any of these jobs, please call the church office ASAP
378-9620. We'd like to make assignments so we can get everything
covered. Call this afternoon until 4 PM. On Wednesday, the staff may
not be able to answer the phone, please leave a message at Extension
21.

Reminder for Feb 15: Justin Lookadoo is coming to Mafair!

On Wednesday, February 15, Mafair will host dynamic youth speaker Justin Lookadoo - the 6'7" tall El Paso native who has won the hearts of our own youth (and many others) during Resurrection weekends in Gatlinburg.

Lookadoo takes advantage of current hip and relevant cultural twists and turns in the world to show teens that Biblical principles and Christian values are actually "cool" rules to live by.

We're inviting other youth groups in the area to join us, and we encourage the Mafair family to come out and help welcome these youth to Mafair and stay for Justin's program.

We'll serve a free hot dog dinner beginning at 5pm, followed by the program in the Sanctuary at 6pm.

Come on over and join us! And remember, backdoor guests are best!

Mafair on the Map

Our 2012 goal is to actively involve 75 new people within one mile of Mafair in some aspect of church life through community outreach, mission, and ministry. Our overall goal is to put Mafair on the Map in the minds of the people of Kingsport.

This congregation desires to become even more relevant and community minded by showing and sharing Christ with our neighbors. Our goal will be to have 10 professions of faith in Jesus Christ in addition to our annual confirmation class professions of faith.
