Has it been barely a week? Or an entire month? It is almost impossible to keep up with the flood of emotions, news, visuals and music coming in from what’s clearly much more than the promotion of a new Madonna album.

Let’s use this edition of our Confessions Daily to track down what has happened since last Thursday, that includes five main chapters:

Madonna X Grindr – Live in Times Square

On Thursday, 4 June Madonna made history, delivering an electrifying live performance in front of a record-breaking crowd of 50,000, giving the world a taste of three tracks from Confessions II – including never-heard before remixes of I Feel So Free and Bring Your Love – this one was performed as a Madonna-only version – and the first listening of Love Sensation.

Just thirty minutes after announcing the surprise show in the Grindr app, Madonna took over Times Square, stepping onto stage wearing a Dolce & Gabbana corset and ensemble. In addition to the new music, she performed three classics from the original Confessions on a Dance Floor album: Get Together, I Love New York and Hung Up.

On related news, exxxclusive Grindr X Madonna merch – including t-shirts and hats is now available from shop.grindr.com.

Read our full report here. Thanks for coming.

Love Sensation – single release

Just a buch of minutes before Madonna took the stage at The Square, the third song from Confessions II was released by Warner Records on the streaming platforms worldwide.

Love Sensation is available digitally in two versions:

Love Sensation (3:48)

Love Sensation – Radio Edit (3:02)

As of now a text-free version of the 16-track album artwork is used for the song which doesn’t come with its own cover. Love Sensation is also the first song from Confessions II to have its radio edit released to the general public; both the radio edits of I Feel So Free (3.00) and Bring Your Love (2:51) remain promo-only as of now.

Tribeca Festival World Premiere

The event that was announced with the longest advance notice – something unusual in this era as you’ve all realized by now – the World Premiere of Confessions II – The Film at The Tribeca Festival took place at The Beacon Theater in NYC on Friday night.
A few hours before the premiere, Madonna herself announced that the movie was going to be realesed on YouTube for everyone to see on Monday, June 8 at 11 AM ET, so it wasn’t hard to remain spoiler free, although the conversation with Madonna and the film directors TORSO hosted by Anderson Cooper (who stepped in instead of Jimmy Fallon last minute) that followed the screening was full of insightful information about this one project and the other ones Madonna is looking forward to was something not to miss.

To add even more excitement, yesterday Interview Magazine published exclusive photos from the premiere by Alex Antonioni & Ricardo Gomes, giving the fans a look at what happened inside an event that required everyone to store their electronic devices – cameras included – in Madame X-style Yondr pouches.

The caption of the opening photo in the article by Ary Russell also lets us know that on the night Madonna was wearing Gucci Primavera silver seamless jersey embroidered tank dress, Generation Gucci ivory shearling coat, sunglasses and all over crystals high heel Gucci pumps. Make-up by Marcelo Gutierrez, hair by Matt Bens.

Confessions II – The Film

While some of us were hoping to use the last few hours before the general release of Confessions II – The Film to quietly recover from the Times Square and Tribeca buzz, Madonna herself started to boost it up with a clever invention that made this release unique in yet another way: a series of Instagram-ready cards showing part of the movie cast started appearing online, promplty reposted by Madonna in her stories.

Cast members Daniele Sibilli, Prince Lyons, Gwendoline Christie, Debi Mazar, Julia Garner, Feid, Honey Dijon, Arca, João Pedro, Archie Madewke, Richard E. Grand, Shygirl and the one and only Kate Moss – were all photographed by Ricardo Gomes – most likely on location on the same day of the film shooting; Gomes portrayed them in the same costume they wear in the film, serving as de-facto spoilers. All the artists accompanied their own card to an image of the movie poster that Special Offer, inc., all designed in pure Confessions II style.

The end credits include the complete list of cast, crew, and production teams in all three filming locations of the movie: London (where the bathroom scene was filmed), Los Angeles (where the filming of the rave sequence with Sabrina Carpenter took place) and New York City. And, of course, the full credits to the six songs.

It is impossible not to reserve a special mention to the amazing work of the choreographers who worked to blend the images to the music in a masterful way, starting with main choreographer and longtime Madonna collaborator Damien Jalet, YBOG for the Good For The Soul choreography, rave choreographer Megan Lawson, rave scene movement director Nicolas Huchard and choreographer assistants Sierra Herrera, Zoe Hollinshead and Matt Cady.

Make sure to dive deep into the list at the end of the film: it is a much due recognition to each and everyone who took part to the project – everbody here is a work of art.

It’s virtually impossible to report about all the reactions, the analysis, the reviews and the comments that literally flooded the Madonnaverse since the minute the film started playing. Here are a few ones that captured our attention:

Madonna’s Confessions II short film is her boldest (and best) work in years — and all she did was tell the truth
Joey Nolfi on Entertainment Weekly breaks down the celebrity-filled Confessions II film and what it means for Madonna’s future as the world’s foremost pop star.

By the final shot, it’s evident that “safety in numbers,” for Madonna, means she has nothing left to prove. Whether she (or those living in her influence) are swallowed up by a crowd and spat out the other end, Madonna simply “is.” She endures as one woman — the woman — running the show. You can dance with her or against her. Either way, her music will play on and on, whether she’s staring down the lens or watching from above.

Madonna’s Confessions II Short Film Is a Phantasmagoric Disco Dream
Sal Cinquemani on Slant discusses the star-studded “cinematic experience” that made its debut at Tribeca Film Festival last week.

By the time the song titles flash on screen, Confessions II – The Film starts to feel like little more than a highlight reel for the album, which is exactly what music videos were originally conceived to be. Madonna helped revolutionize the format during MTV’s nascent years, wielding it not just a marketing tool but an extension of the music itself. But interest in conventional videos has dwindled in recent years in favor of 30-second TikTok reels—even Taylor Swift’s latest video has only amassed six million views on YouTube in two months—so while each of the segments in Confessions II – The Film would make for a dazzling standalone video, Madonna seems to be asking, why bother?

Confessions II Represents Another Peak Madonna Moment
M-Encyclopedian Matthew Rettenmund explains on Boy Culture how this is the day Madonna reasserted herself as the premier music-video artist of all time with the unveiling of her monumental visual film Confessions II.

She’s had plenty of good videos all along the way, but Confessions II is a confident left turn away from anything safe or expected, yet is also a shameless collection of some of her greatest, most flattering looks in ages. Confessions II is a spectacular appetite-whetter for the album.
The KIKO Show

And now a partnership that we probably didn’t see coming even if we should have – since all the clues were there: Madonna was announced as the new KIKO Milano Global Ambassador on June 8.

Madonna has been using cosmetics from the #1 makeup brand in Italy since a while, and last month Marcelo Gutierrez – her make up artist who you got to know a little closer in the Grindr Presents: Confessions with… Madonna video last month – was appointed as the company’s first Global Makeup Artistry Creative Director.

Furthermore, at the beginning of May KIKO Milano announced plans to expand its presence in the U.S. through a new retail partnership with Macy’s, with a national rollout starting June 6 at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC.

As we can see clearly now, the project doesn’t come exactly out of the blue.

It does, on the contrary, land on Madonnaplanet at a time when the hype around the Confessions II film is at its best, showing once more that what we are experiencing live is not a traditional campaign for a new record launch, but a mission to let Madonna rule the world once again. Drew Elliott, Chief Brand Officer at KIKO Milano, explained:

Madonna is the blueprint. She’s everything. Working with Madonna let us push KIKO Milano to the next level. It’s designed to demand an audience, just like our muse and just like the products themselves. The KIKO show has just begun, and we have more up our sleeves. The secret is out.

The new campaign – The KIKO Show – is set to an exclusive Stuart Price remix of Bring Your Love and shows the Queen of Pop shifting through different beauty personas.
It is all created by members of Madonna’s current creative team, including photographer Rafael Pavarotti and creative make-up director Marcelo Gutierrez. Hair by Eugene Souleiman, nails by Naomi Yasuda, set design by Mary Howard.
Madonna wears pieces from her own Confessions Tour archive, and vintage YSL by Tom Ford, all styled by Sadie Davies.

KIKO Milano celebrated their new Global Brand Ambassador with a party at Macy’s Herald Square on Monday night.
Honey Dijon was on the decks and The Kiko Girl herself showed up in the dee-jay booth and danced to some of her tracks, including Dijon’s remix of Phisical Attraction!

The campaign celebrates a new era for the brand, one rooted in transformation. Madonna introduces us to the KIKO woman with a simple question: have you met KIKO? From there, we learn who KIKO is, and she’s the ultimate embodiment of ‘Italianity.’ She’s playful. She’s impossible to ignore. She’s Italian. She’s global. As the story unfolds, the dramatic, smoke-filled silhouettes cut to the high-intensity shift to close-ups, celebrating the rich Italian DNA shared between Madonna and KIKO MILANO. Both are bold and uncompromising.

After a teaser clip posted on Monday, The KIKO Show is now live with the first ad and a behind the scenes featurette directed by Nuno Xico.

Madonna presents CONFESSIONS II – The Film, a new short film directed by TORSO now available on YouTube following an enthusiastic response with multiple ovations during last week’s premiere at the 25th Tribeca Film Festival.

Produced by DIVISION and Powered by Dolce&Gabbana, Maverick and Warner Records, with music direction by Stuart Price, the film offers an immersive cinematic experience accompanying Madonna’s forthcoming album Confessions II, through the first six songs:

I Feel So Free

Good for the Soul

One Step Away

Bring Your Love with Sabrina Carpenter

Danceteria

and Read My Lips with Feid.

CONFESSIONS II – The Film is an ambitious visual work exceeding 10 minutes. It unfolds as a single, continuous piece, weaving together interconnected, music-driven sequences into an immersive cinematic experience.

A film that gives physicality to the music, CONFESSIONS II – The Film lives in the tension between control and surrender, between being seen and disappearing into a crowd. Each song unfolds across six chapters, each one a sexy thriller, a dance delusion, an epic fever dream.
Like the album, it blurs distinction between tracks, building cosmic narratives that follow a twisted dream logic. It unfolds as a fast-moving portrait of the album’s world, capturing its themes of freedom, connection, desire, nightlife and the transcendent power of dance.

The result is a transcendent journey that catapults the viewer through a fucked-up night out that’s remembered not for what happened, but for how it felt. Madonna is ambushed, pursued, and ultimately worshipped by a roving squad of camera-wielding femmes. From the bedroom to the club bathroom, to the car, to the arena, and even into
nature, they cruise the many spaces in which music thrives.

Inside these sanctuaries, we discover reflections on dualities that have accompanied Madonna’s entire career:
privacy and publicity, grief and catharsis, intimacy and communion, fandom and collaboration. But everything always returns to the one, hallowed place that started it all: the dance floor.

At the center of the film’s nightlife universe is a nod to Danceteria, the legendary New York club that helped shape Madonna’s early creative life and career. Kate Moss appears as part of that collective fantasy, an enduring muse of fashion and fearless cool. The scene reimagines the wild, decadent energy of a bygone time while invoking
the modern era with a nod to Grindr highlighted, bringing its cast of icons and collaborators into the same dreamlike club world. The scene is a collective fever dream of beautiful chaos, with Arca, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cole Palmer, Debi Mazar, Honey Dijon, João Pedro, Richard E. Grant and Shygirl are all fully surrendered to the debauchery alongside the incomparable Kate Moss, whose presence here is pure magic.

One of the most beloved figures in fashion, Moss brings her signature electricity to the dance floor, effortlessly at home in the gorgeous mayhem surrounding her.
Together this cast of visionaries reimagines the wild, decadent energy of a bygone era, bringing its cast of icons and collaborators into the same glorious, dreamlike club world.
The film closes with Lola Leon, who recently debuted her new single T Shirt – connecting the throughline of the universes.

Continuing its long-standing relationship with Madonna, Dolce & Gabbana, served as the film’s fashion house – dressing the entire film including all 250 extras.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana told WWD via statement: “We have a long-standing friendship with Madonna. We have followed and supported her through many moments – from tours and campaigns to some of the most iconic collaborations. Our relationship goes beyond what people see: it is a genuine bond built on shared experiences and authentic moments of life.”

Madonna’s dance floor dominance shows no signs of slowing as the euphoric anthem I Feel So Free, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart, Bring Your Love, with Sabrina Carpenter hit No. 1 on the UK Club Chart. The latest taste of new music from the album, Love Sensation premiered this past Friday following her unforgettable
surprise performance in Times Square live streamed exclusively on Grindr.

Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II – the continuation of the iconic counterpart Confessions on
a Dance Floor – is set for release on July 3rd via Warner Records. Fans can pre-order the album + the ultimate curation of expansive vinyl, CDs and cassette offerings on madonna.com.

Madonna steps in her new role of 29-year-old Kiko Milano as the Italian brand’s second-ever global ambassador with “The Kiko Show”, WWD.com reports today.

The new campaign is set to an exclusive Stuart Price remix of Bring Your Love and shows the Queen of Pop shifting through different beauty personas. It also marks the arrival of Kiko Milano to three Macy’s locations, including the Herald Square flagship store in New York City, where the brand’s presence will include boldly colored displays, makeup services and product engraving stations.

Earlier today Kiko Milano posted a Reel serving as a teaser of the new collaboration with the caption:

Welcome to the KIKO Show. The show is about to begin…

Chief Brand Officer Drew Elliot is quoted by WWD explaining that “Kiko Milano is a powerhouse brand, and it deserves a powerhouse face. Madonna is that person: she has Italian roots; she’s known for reinvention, for boldly being exactly who she is — and, many times, using makeup to do that. She is the Kiko girl.”

Madonna for Kiko Milano photographed by Rafael Pavarotti

Back in May, Kiko Milano – Italy’s number-one makeup brand – named Marcelo Gutierrez – who you all know for being Madonna’s MUA – as its first Global Makeup Artistry Creative Director to lead the brand globally artistry across product development, campaigns, and trend innovation and to guide celebrity collaborations, cultural moments and educational programming.

Elliot said that they were “proud to welcome Marcelo to Kiko Milano at such a transformative moment for the brand. His unique creative vision, combined with a modern understanding of beauty culture, will play a fundamental role in sharpening our make-up identity worldwide.”

“I am incredibly excited to join Kiko Milano as Global Makeup Artistry Creative Director. I am looking forward to contributing to this next chapter and helping inspire creativity and confidence worldwide,” Gutierrez said at the time.

Madonna delivered the ultimate surprise performance yesterday evening in the heart of Times Square, transforming the iconic New York City landmark into a massive impromptu dance floor for a crowd of more than 50,000 fans.

The event marked the official launch of The Square, the NYC high-tech venue built for a digital world and hidden behind an 18,000 sqft, 8K LED electronic billboard beneath the Hilton Tempo Hotel, directly on Broadway and 47th Street. “We thought [Madonna] was the right person to talk across multiple generations of fans. You don’t get someone better than her who can talk to anyone in the world,” explained Jeff Marks, CEO of Innovative Partnerships Group, which helped create the venue.

Due to restrictions put in place by the city for open-air pop-up events of such scale the artists only have a 15-minute window to take the stage – and that’s exactly for how long Madonna was seen towering above Times Square.

The epic New York experience also marked the first time Madonna performed live new music from her upcoming album Confessions II, including the latest track to be released, Love Sensation.

Love’s the reason why
It’s a drug that that I can’t stop taking Baby let’s get high
Tripping up to the sky
On your love sensation good vibration Love sensation

Alongside Love Sensation, Madonna performed I Feel So Free and a remix of Bring Your Love with her vocals only, plus a trio of beloved songs from Confessions on a Dance Floor: Get Together, I Love New York – the song she wrote for her beloved city – and the closing number, Hung Up.

The crowd returned the love for her every step of the way in this quintessential New York City. The unforgettable moment was also shared with audiences around the world through Grindr’s first-ever livestream, bringing everyone to the dance floor.

Love Sensation was first teased in late April during a surprise club appearance by Madonna in West Hollywood where Stuart Price previewed a snippet of the song in his DJ set. It instantly generated buzz around the club and quickly sparked online discussion, fueling demand for a potential release of the track.

Madonna’s dance floor dominance shows no signs of slowing as the euphoric anthem I Feel So Free, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart and Bring Your Love, her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter which just hit No. 1 on the UK Club Chart.

Confessions II – a continuation of its iconic counterpart Confessions on a Dance Floor – is set for release on July 3rd via Warner Records. Fans can pre-order the album + the ultimate curation of expansive vinyl, CDs and cassette offerings via madonna.com.

Grindr and Madonna Team up for Legendary Times Square Performance

New Music Debuts from Confessions II at Landmark Performance Live Streamed Globally in the Grindr App

Tonight, Grindr – the Global Gayborhood in Your Pocket – and Madonna made history. In front of a record-breaking crowd, Madonna delivered an electrifying live performance giving the world its first taste of three new tracks from Confessions II – available everywhere July 3 via Warner Records.

Just thirty minutes after announcing the surprise show in the Grindr app, Madonna took over Times Square, stepping onto stage wearing a Dolce & Gabbana corset and ensemble. In addition to the new music, she performed a handful of songs from Confessions on a Dance Floor. As Madonna continues to encourage the community to connect in person, this once in a lifetime event brought thousands of people together and captured the unmistakable spirit and energy of her beloved city.

The LGBTQ+ community has been with me from the beginning. We’ve inspired, challenged and stood by each other during both dark and joyful times. Partnering with Grindr feels like a celebration of that connection – safety in numbers.

Grindr reimagined the epicenter of Manhattan as the Global Gayborhood, with 15+ camera angles, live dancers, and the Grindr bus to celebrate this momentous occasion.

“Madonna chose to bring Confessions II to her fans through Grindr,” says George Arison, Grindr CEO, “and tonight, Times Square was the Global Gayborhood.”

Confessions II is available for pre-order now via Warner Records including two exclusive vinyl variants: the Grindr Exxxclusive Vinyl Picture Disc with artwork exclusively chosen for the Global Gayborhood and the Pride Vinyl Edition. Both available for pre-order at shop.madonna.com.

“Gay culture has always been at the center of the conversation – setting trends, deciding what the world cares about next. That conversation starts on Grindr and even the Queen of Pop knows it,” says Tristan Pineiro, Grindr CMO.

For the first time in Grindr history, the performance was live streamed to users globally inside the Grindr app; extending the reach of the performance far beyond the physical venue and onto the screens of millions around the world. For those who missed the event, a recording of the performance will be available on Grindr’s YouTube channel.

This partnership was never going to be a one-night stand. What began as a collaboration quickly evolved into a cultural takeover: an immersive in-app experience, exclusive drops for Grindr users around the world, and most recently, Madonna baring it all in Grindr Presents: Confessions with… Madonna. Mother finally answers the Gayborhood’s most burning questions. And if you think that’s everything… consider this foreplay.

Open the app. The dancefloor is still open. Thanks for coming.

Edit: according imusic.co, who first reported about this, the release of these re-issues has been postponed.

6 Madonna classic albums that were originally printed on coloured vinyl about ten years ago will be made available again to coincide with the release of Confessions II.

Like A Virgin, True Blue, Like A Prayer, Erotica (2LPs), Ray Of Light (2LPs) and Music were first released in several batches as part of a partnership between Warner and UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.

Sainsbury’s returned to selling vinyl in March 2016 for the first time since the 1980s, and following a great success later decided to extend the number of stores included in the initiative, adding limited edition coloured vinyls exclusive to their stock.

The first two Madonna exclusives were the limited red vinyl pressing of Like A Prayer and the blue vinyl pressing of True Blue, originally released in October 2016. The limited quantities quickly sold out at Sainsbury’s and in just a matter of days copies ended up at ridiculous prices on Ebay. But… quicky forwarding to March 2017… French record shop Fnac and other selected online retailers gave fans a second chance to get these same vinyls (some had even the same Sainsbury’s sticker) at a fair price.

The clear vinyl of Like A Virgin and candy blue vinyl of Ray Of Light (2LPs) followed in October 2017, and the white vinyl of Erotica (2LPs) and the blue vinyl of Music completed the set in October 2018.

Now these six LPs will be re-released on July 3rd, 2026 (or Confessions Day, if you will). The first online retailer reporting about the reissue is imusic.co.
