Mortal Online is a MMORPG that is made by Epic Games and Star Vault and it’s currently in beta stage. The setting is fantasy based and it’s a first person game. The launch data is the summer of 2009.

Black Prophecy is a MMORPG based in space, that will compete with Eve Online. Right now the game is close to getting into closed beta and the action will take place in the 26th century.

Black Prophecy has the upper hand in the graphics department, but Eve Online will probably catch up soon enough.

In the game, the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic are the main factions and their fight will take place on at least 16 planets. Depending on the actions and choices you make, you character and the game will change.

The launch date or the beta test haven’t been announced yet, but we have the chance to see a video with the timeline and the background behind Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The fact that a Fallout MMO was in development has been known for some time. The latest news is that Masthead Studios is going to take part in the development of the game. The official developer will be Interplay, but they will use the technology, resources and tools from Masthead.

Masthead Studios is known for Earthrise, an upcoming post-apocalyptic MMO.

We’ve just got news that Fallen Earth has just got the M for Mature rating from ESRB. Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic MMO where players will be live inside a world ravaged by nuclear and viral armageddon.

The great news is that the company will not tone the game down just to get the young audience.

"Thought you all should be the first to know that we’ve received our rating from the ESRB board and we’re classified as an M (Mature). You’ll start to see this in our ads and videos moving forward."

Fallen Earth is a massively multiplayer online game mixing first-person shooter style action with traditional role-playing game design.

Set near the Grand Canyon in 2156 after a deadly plague wiped out most of humanity, the game features six factions, a classless advancement system and a unique crafting feature in which players can make 95 percent of game items.

With 70 towns, real-time settings and interesting character modifications—woven together in a post-Apocalyptic plot—Fallen Earth provides ultimate player-versus-player and player-versus-environment experiences.

Apparently, they are offering a competitive package on a 12 months contract with return flights paid, free healthcare, free accommodations of quality, paid holiday and paid overtime.

They’re going to San Franciso, at the GDC to fill these positions. This is what the head of the HR department at Realtime Worlds, John Duthie, had to say:

"Many companies have laid off large numbers of talented staff in recent months, and we see GDC as a great chance to tap into that talent pool. With the economy the way it is, many people don’t want to think about committing to a permanent move, so what we’re offering is a number of contract positions for folk to come to Scotland, help us to a successful launch of APB, and then reassess their options when the economy is hopefully in better shape.

Stargate Worlds was announced last year for the first time, at the San Diego Comic Con, but the financial crisis hit the company in the meantime.

Apparently, the game will be delayed, and it’s entirely possible that it will not launch at all.

The lawsuit that hit the company recently comes from IO Capital Princess LLC, which seems to be over an unpaid bill. Combined with the problems that the company faces with paying their employees, things don’t look good for Stargate Worlds.

Their partners in this project will be Virtual Heroes, Information Place and Project Whitecard. NASA hopes to attract students with this project and make them more interested in space exploration.

Most of the money behind the project will come from sponsors and individual investors. Experts from NASA will contribute to the realization of this MMOG.

“‘Astronaut: Moon, Mars, and Beyond’ was selected because the three companies involved had a really ideal combination of qualities we were looking for,” Daniel Laughlin of NASA’s Learning Technologies Project Office  said in a statement. “They have the right experience, they demonstrated their ability to engage middle school through higher education curricula, and they have extraordinary enthusiasm about working with NASA to make a fun game. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from more than 800 pages of public input, it’s that this game must be fun if it’s going to be of any use for education.”
