Species which disappear are our sources: water, air and life-forms which closely connected among itself but we violated these connections lately. There are not more than 10 years for humanity to prevent an ecocatastrophe and avoid transformation of our Earth on an unknown for all of us planet. Humanity caused destructive processes which can’t control.
The 20% of the planet population consumes near 80% of natural resources of the Earth. 5000 people die daily through a muddy drinking-water.
13,000,000 hectares of the forest disappear annually from the face of the Earth. Species become extinct in 1000 times quicker of natural rate. The 75% of fish resources were disappeared, exhausted or are under threat of disappearance. We all can fall to thinking!

Sport Palace Ukraine (18, Melnyka str.)

The tennis tournament of European level will take place in Lviv city. This will be the first international tennis tournament of the third category ТЕ3 LVIVOPEN on open courts of Sport Palace Ukraine (Lviv). Youths and girls under age fourteen years from 19 countries of Europe will fight for the greatest places on the honour’s pedestal. Qualifying competitions will continue from the 4th till 6th September.

The town-fortress nearby Urych village, not far from Boryslav town and township Skhidnitsya

Tustan is the unique in our country festival of the Ukrainian medieval culture. The fortress Tustan already fifth time calls together friends – those in whose veins run blood of brave Rus knights, who remembers the appeal of mountains and whose heart feels the rhythms of Ukrainian dark ages. The Festival grounds traditionally will operate on territory of national park Tustan near rocks where in a period of the 9 till the 13 centuries was unapproachable town-fortress. Tustan was a large strategic object which operated as a custom and defensive point of the unique system of Carpathian’s line resistance of Kievan Rus south-west border.

Lviv Art Palace (17, Kopernyka str.)

There was a horse as one of the first images which scratched out on the wall of cave a hand of the most ancient man.
Ukrainians, as well as other ethnic groups, did a horse the hero of numerous fairy-tales, songs and kobza-player thoughts. We can find the symbolic image of horse on the embroidered towel, on the woven carpet and on Easter egg. The organizers of action Weekend on Horseback decided to remind Lviv inhabitants the living contacts with a horse.
15 Lviv artists took advantage of rare case to sketch a horse from nature. This case was on territory of youth school of equestrianism ‘Byrevisnyk’ where there was ‘A day of the unclosed doors’. Children and adults had a good possibility here to drive on horseback, to consort with instructors, horse superintendences and to see the competitions of Lviv equestrian schools.
The variety of styles, manners and techniques unites real interest to such phenomenal being that had devotedly served to the man during many thousand years, namely a horse.

Lviv Art Palace (17, Kopernyka str.)

It is the exhibition of graduating students of artistic textile department (Lviv Academy of Arts). This exhibition is opened on occasion of the 10 anniversary from completion of the educational institution. Own works present 12 from 17 graduating students of the department. Almost all former students work in an artistic sphere however much of them chosen individual way of independent artist, teacher or designer.
The exposition includes artistic works in the traditional textile technique of weaving, tapestry and batik together with experimental textile, graphic arts and painting.

A territory of Young Spectator Theater, former Jam Factory

MediaDepo will continue the activity in 2010 in relation to presentation and discussion of media-art. Block Ukrainian video not from Ukraine will be in this year project and in addition will be given lectures on history of Ukrainian media-motion. The specialty of present project will become a show of the video-selection Secret Understanding of the British agency Forma which participating in the project was supported by British advice. Forma also promises participating in the project a special British artist Vikie Bannet who already long time realizes the project People as We that is video-collage of different genres and technologies. The final of MeDepo-2010 will be the video-project Dekazia of the American artist Bill Morrison. Dekazia is highly-aesthetic video which was created due to processing of movie films of the period of the 20th years (the 20 century). These films had noted the early American and European cinema trips.

National academic Ukrainian dramatic theater named after M.Zankovecka (1, Lesia Ukrainka str.)

The evening ‘The 20 century. Bohdan-Ihor Antonych. Grytsko Chubay’ within the limits of Forum of Publishers will take place in National Academic Ukrainian dramatic theater on September, 18 at 19:00.
This evening is devoted to the 61 anniversary from birth of Grytsko Chubay and the 101 anniversary from birth of Bohdan-Ihor Antonych.
The most primary aim of this evening is a reminiscence about a poetry and life of genius writers of contemporaneity and nearer and the best acquaintance of modern youth with creation of large poets
Bohdan-Ihor Antonych and Grytsko Chubay.
A purpose of this project is also collecting funds and edition the book about life and creation of Grytsko Chubay: biographic texts and photos, author’s manuscripts, translations of poems into English, Belarussian, Spanish, Russian and Polish languages.
