As Ronald Reagan stated many years ago, “One of these days, you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what America was like when men were free.” The ideology of free people, free minds and free markets is under attack by Unions aka (Corporate Socialism) and the Federal Government. This article is an attempt to help people understand the beast with which you are currently dealing when referring to “government-run health care”.

Norman Thomas, a Socialist and member of the American Civil Liberties Union, boldly told the world: “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism, but under the name of Liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until, one day, America will be a Socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”

Because people would never knowingly give up their freedoms to Socialism, Congressman Ferrand introduced the Ferrand Bill. This gave birth to Medicare, government health care that we have now. This is the Socialist seed that was planted many years ago. This government health care would not only be our senior citizens, this would be for the dependents of whom? and those who are disabled, this would be for young people if they are dependents of someone eligible for Social Security. In the name of Liberalism, the Socialist seed was planted.

I would like to bring you to present day where the unions, also known as “Corporate Socialists”, are encouraging union nurses to support the National Health Care Bill that is being proposed by Democrats. Union nurses believe that their entitlements will be protected by the unions when this government health care bill is passed. I believe they are subscribing to Socialism in the name of Liberalism, just as Regan predicted would happen. The problem with this is that they believe their careers and lifestyles will be protected by the entitlements that the unions will give to them. This false security that the unions will provide their entitlements of high wages and benefits may or may not ring true in the end.

The free nurse is the nurse who works without excessive entitlements that prevent them to be released from their job when a poor job is performed and has an agreement between him/her and the employer. The free nurse also works part time, contracts jobs, moves freely around the United States taking jobs as he or she wishes and enjoys the benefits of contracting corporation to corporation or working per diem.

The free nurse enjoys the benefits of the free market and has a huge earning potential. Building their own businesses and growing financially and creatively, nurses are limited only by their own potential. This pioneer, self-reliant, entrepreneurial mentality is what has brought us the innovations we are familiar with today, such as advanced treatments, home health care, and medications that give us optimum health care in our modern society.

Because the Federal Government insurance will not pay hospitals and clinics enough money to keep their doors open, more hospitals and clinics will close their doors. This is in addition to the ones that could not produce profits because of Unions. The Federal Government will then be in a situation that it will be necessary to step in and nationalize health care. When this happens the Union nurse and free nurse will both take a 25% pay cut and the patients will wait months for basic treatments that are currently available same day.

It is important to understand that as a Union nurse, in order for your Union to continue with entitlements, they must suck the life blood out of companies and free nurses to maintain the socialist entitlements. Just like the Unions (corporate socialists) sucked the life blood out of the car companies by not allowing them to stop making cars people didn’t want and other cut backs necessary to create a profit, the Health care facilities will stop making profits and close their doors. Union corruption will grow and the Federal Government will impose excessive taxation upon those who are still free until they can gain balance again in health care.

Many nurses will change careers and fewer people will choose to become doctors due to high cost of education and lack of pay. As a union nurse or a free nurse when you support Government health care you are supporting an ideology of socialism that was planted as a seed many years ago. If you do not stand up and strongly protest you will soon have a nation that has lost the free markets to National health care and the creativity of companies and accessible health care will be crushed under socialism. The Unions will gain strongholds until they are able to impose this ideology on the rest of the free markets. Please remember what brought us to this point, the free markets. The only thing that will keep America healthy and strong with a wealthy middle class is free minds, free people and free markets.

It is important to realize that union nurses are a key component to socializing America. They are being used as a tool to support the Federal Government’s plan for a single payer plan that is supported by the current President and may be set in place as the next step when Federal Government health care drives out private insurance. The goal of this article is to expose the link between how Unions, Union Nurses, The Government Health Care option and Socialized medicine is one big tool in Socializing America.
