I've been trying to stop buying frozen meals and actually making healthy options and recipes that I find on Pinterest. As much as I hate cleaning up the mess, it's proven to be freakin' delicious every time.

On the menu tonight: Honey Pecan Crusted Chicken.

[Side note: I need to stop taking pictures of food with my phone.. they don't do it any justice.]

It's a SUPER easy recipe that only calls for chicken, honey, mustard, paprika, garlic powder, corn or frosted flakes, and pecans or any nuts of your choosing!

"The Honey Badger" is absolutely one of my favorite videos of 2011, if not of all time. To this day, I can't stop quoting it.

I don't think I ever wondered what the man behind the voice looked like, but I think that's because I had a pretty clear description in my imagination. Now, my mind has been blown.

watch/listen: the cranberries' new music video "tomorrow"

The Cranberries have jumped on the bandwagon of helping us try to bring back all-things-90s. Here's there brand new song "Tomorrow."

At first listen, it's certainly nothing like their classics, but her voice has not changed a bit, so it's absolutely enjoyable and soothing.

Do you think that maybe we aren't used to sounds like this so that's why when they come back they're "not as good," or are they really a let-down?

It's been a WHILE since I had a photoshoot done, and considering the move altered by body in unflattering ways, I was hoping it'd still be another while.

BUT, the station was in need of an update when it comes to our pictures on the website. Half of us don't look anything like what our picture does anymore.

So I called on my cousin, Paige Engel, to come take some pics! Here are some of the best she got of me in the studio:

Obviously I had to "spice" it up by getting on the desk/table/whatever you wanna call it. Beyond that, I'm surprised I smiled so much. That normally doesn't happen.

One of the coolest things about being here is being able to hook up the listeners with some seriously awesome prizes. We've given away tons of Coach purses, iPads, iPhones, and basically everything I would love to have but can't.

Next week we're doing something that I came up with and I am beyond excited for it! So excited that I made this little teaser vid to get them all amped.

People who tell me social media is silly still make me laugh, really hard, very loud. If you haven't already figured it out, it's pretty easy to make extra money, get free stuff, get jobs, etc.

If you're on Klout, you can get even more free things with all of their perks!

They're offering 100 free "moo cards," which are basically smaller business cards that are 100% customizable by you. You can have 100 different backs if you want, and whatever you want as the common front.

I chose to make 6 different backs, with the front featuring all of my main social media accounts. Here are the pretties:

If you pay attention to them, you'll see my new logo that I'm gonna start using more, and also "elizabethany.com" as my website. Yes, this here blog will be changing to that shortly thanks to issues that I'll explain later.

I plan on doing a lot more street marketing/interviews for my show, and these are perfect for that. Everyone I interview, meet, or talk to, I can just pass one of these to them and BAM! Hopefully I score me a new follower!

watch: the evolution of the gay rights movement

I'm pretty sure I've been very vocal in my feelings for the need to give equal rights to gays everywhere, but just in case I haven't, I'm posting another video that everyone should really watch.

In 7 minutes, it's the evolution of the movement, from the thought that it was new and weird and unlawful, to the bullying, to the laws helping equal rights happen. If you're anything like me, and you have a heart, you will definitely shed a tear.

It's great to see how far we've really come, but I also think it's important to keep in mind that there's still a long way to go. Either way, that video does show some promise.

Here's to hoping that "the end" is a lot nearer in time than "the beginning" is from right now.

When vajazzling came out, I didn't exactly want to jump on the bandwagon, but I saw how it could be pretty and fun to decorate your Britney.

Now there's a new trend that is apparently "BOOMING." Feather and fur "merkins."

Basically, women go in to get their entire area waxed, then they get a vagina wig in the form of fuzz or feathers...

Here's a little taste of what they'd look like..

Oh, and did I mention they START at $195?!

Isn't the point of going through the pain of waxing to have NOTHING there?! Guys don't wanna have to go through a forest of ANYTHING down there. I'm also thinking they don't wanna have feather particles in their mouths or their own regions.

...and let's face it. The ONLY reason you'd do something like that [or wax, for that matter] is because someone is going to be down there.

pinteresting: picture perfect votive candle holder for under 3 bucks

I normally can't afford Christmas presents for friends, but this year I saw a picture of these candle holders and went on a mission to figure out how to make them. I never found directions that work, so I went with how I thought it would work best. Each one costs about $2.50-$3.00, depending on what you already have laying around the house.

Here's how to do it, followed by the ones I made for my friends!

What you need:

Cylinder-shaped vase/votive holders from the Dollar Store ($1)
Candle to put inside, either about 2.5 inches high, or a tealight, depending on your preference. (Under $1)
Vellum paper (under 50 cents)
Ribbon [I recommend velvet ribbon, half inch or smaller in width]
Double sided tape [in the pictures mine was thicker, but I recommend the super thin type]
Hot glue and gun

How to make it pretty:

Print out a picture onto the vellum paper in black and white. [I also added a little extra contrast so it really stood out]
Measure it against the vase and trim the top/bottom appropriately. You'll want a little extra room at the top and bottom of the vase.
Put the tape around the top and bottom of the vase, not taking off both sticky sides until you're ready to apply the picture.
Line up the picture as straight as possible and wrap around the vase. When you're sure it's straight, roll on a flat surface to make sure it's on good.
At the end of the wrap, seal with either hot glue and ribbon, or double sided tape.
Wrap top and bottom of vase with ribbon/hot glue. This will conceal any uneven cuts/wraps.
Put a candle in and smile!

It's not the highest-class thing you'll ever make, but it's cute, and it looks great as long as no one is inspecting it. Best part: You can make MULTIPLE for super cheap.

I've been doing Pinterest posts for a while, but I know a lot of the guys tend to brush them off. Well, I've noticed a pretty big surge of people joining this week, but guys still seem to be skeptical. First of all, the more men that join, the more men will find on the site. Second of all, there is stuff for you to enjoy! So, here are the reasons why I think you'll like it if you sign up and use it. [Don't forget, if you want to know more about some of the pictures/see the pin, click them!]

There is a lot of funny stuff. The main reason you'll love it, I'd think. I see most guys sharing hilarious memes and things anyone could like. There's a HUGE variety, and just like any social media site, you might not catch them elsewhere, so don't forget to check here. [My friend Jeff constantly shares funny pins!]
There is a lot of nifty stuff. I have found so many random products that I would love to have! Expensive, cheap, or just plain clever, you could become a shopaholic of sorts, too! [That, my friends, is an old-school gas pump for your liquor!]
There is a lot of photography stuff. I get that not all guys are into photography, and that's fine... but for those of you who are, you have definitely come to the right place on Pinterest. There are all types of photography examples as well as tips for beginners and wannabe Photoshop pros! [My photographer friend Mike has just gotten started, but I bet he'll have amazing pins!]
There is a lot of DIY manly stuff. Most of the crafts as of now are for around the home, and things us women can do.. BUT! My dad made me a necklace for Christmas that he found on my Pinterest, and there are also furniture tips and other projects for you "manly men." [I officially challenge you to make that tree house, by the way.]
There is a lot of alcoholic stuff. Drink recipes, drinking games, alcohol-inspired gifts even... If you like to party, welcome to the place to help you throw the party to end all parties. [And THIS is an official challenge to a game of "Battleshots!"]
There is a lot of delicious stuff. You can even combine this reason with the last one; they have alcoholic foods! For the men who like to cook or grill, welcome to the easiest cookbook ever. Hate cookbooks? Me too. Look at the pictures for inspiration and make your own. [That, BTW, is cheddar beer chicken with bacon. You're welcome.]
There is a lot of car stuff. Car sprucing tips for some, lots of pretty pictures of cars for others. Don't lie, you know you call your car pretty. [Say hello to the pretty Lexus, fellas.]
There is a lot of hott girl stuff. If you feel like looking at a bunch of models, you can do that. Sure, you could always Google Image search, but Pinterest gives you only the share-worthy photos, which is all you want anyway. [I recommend searching "Boudoir."]
There is a lot of stuff you can get your lady friend, and it's the easiest shopping for her you'll ever do. Someone bought me the most amazing Christmas present by spending two minutes on my Pinterest, while I searched for DAYS looking for something for them. So.. you're also helping them. PLUS: No more guessing what that special ring should look like. I bet she's already pinned it on her wedding board. [Yeah, we ALL have one.]

Just like any social media platform, how you enjoy it totally depends on who you follow! Make sure you people people and boards that are specific to your interests, and you'll always find stuff you like.

Beyond that, if you're looking for boards to follow, use the search or topic tools! When you find a pin you like, look more into the board it's on and the person who pinned it.

It's the most simple-minded platform ever, as far as I can tell, but it can also get really in depth if you want it to. Give it a try! If I'm wrong, I'll allow you to tackle me.
