Some of you may know that I have been involved in the President’s Annual Presidential Rank of Distinguished Executive (for members of the Senior Executive Service) or Distinguished Senior Professional (for Senior Level and Scientific and Professional executives). The rank is awarded for “sustained extraordinary accomplishment.”

Each year, a maximum of 1% of career Federal executives may receive this award.

Awardees have included Nobel Prize winners and an EPA executive who went on to become President of Lithuania. To gain a better understanding of their contributions to the nation, have attached a list of the accomplishments of several recent awardees.
