Here is a recipe I found:

Shamrock Shake

1 cup skim milk
3/4 cup frozen mango
2 ice cubes
1/4 cup loosely packed baby spinach
1/4 cup toasted almonds
1 tablespoon ground flax
3 teaspoons granulated sugar

Place the milk, mango, ice, spinach, almonds, flax and sugar in a blender. Process until smooth and serve immediately.

To spike the shake, add one shot of vodka before blending.

Nutritional Information Per Serving (1 cup):
240 calories, 9 g protein, 30 g carbohydrates, 11 g fat (0 g saturated), 2 mg cholesterol, 1 g fiber, 74 mg sodium.

WOW A NEW POST, finally…

It’s been awhile that I have posted. Life has a way of keeping you busy. The kids are all in separate classes so that keeps me hopping. Taylor just told me she wanted to go back into Steven’s class where she was the first week of kindergarten. She likes playing with him at recess. I asked her if she likes her teacher and she said she loves her but she wants to play with her brother more.
I have them in separate classes only because I think it will be good for them.
The problem I had worried about before is what if one gets invited to a party and the other 2 don’t. It’s happened. But surprisingly not too many times. I am thinking everyone has these “pump it up” parties and they costs per child so I was thinking not too many people would invite kids from school let alone triplets. But that is not true. They are getting invited so much we can’t possibly go to them all.
We pretty much have to stick to family events only.
I feel I have to buy 3 gifts because they invited 3 kids and that gets really expensive. But it is expensive for them to invite my 3 kids. lol Every kids birthday is like a national event. I don’t know how people pay for all of these things. This year my kids want a DS for their birthdays so we will be having a birthday at home and saving a lot of money that way. I refuse to pay $400 or more for one of those places. I mean come on people! How can people do that and then feel they have to out do last years party. But I don’t know, I guess if you can afford to throw it away like that. to each his own. Take care Got to get to work. God Bless.

We got our first snowfall of the year here. It reminded me of a couple of years ago. The kids came down from their bedrooms one morning to see the first snowfall of that year. Taylor looked out the back room window, and in a surprised voice said, “Snowman made a mess!”

An Unappetizing Menu

The kids were being driven to the school bus stop by their mom recently and they passed a local church. The church was advertising an upcoming event, a lunch with Santa. My wife asked them if they’d be interested in going to “a Santa lunch”. Taylor was taken aback by this. She asked, “we’re going to eat Santa??”

Happy Thanksgiving… and a Milestone

The kids reached a milestone this week. After 5 years (well, 5.5 years… that extra .5 is important at this age) they’re finally sleeping in separate rooms. They’ve been sleeping in the same room pretty much since they were about a week old and were moved from separate incubators to one large crib in the NICU at the hospital. After the crib phase, the girls slept in matching beds while Steven preferred to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Now Steven is in his new cowboy-themed room and Taylor’s bed is in a room across the hall from him. Tori and her bed remain in the room they used to share. We’re looking for desks and other furniture for all three rooms. It’s been a couple of nights in the new arrangement and they’re still getting used to it. There’s a bit of anxiety still and a lot of trips to each room to comfort and make sure they’re staying in bed and trying to go to sleep.

Eating out at a restaurant with a lot of kids can get expensive, especially in today’s economy. I just ran across links to help with that and wanted to share them. The first is Kids Eat Free and it lists places where kids can eat free or very cheaply. The second one is similar, KidsEatFor, and a little easier to use. Just type in your zip code and you get a weekly schedule of places near you that are having kids meal specials. If your location isn’t on there, you can type the name of the nearest big city. A lot of chain restaurants have the same specials at all locations. And, as the sites say, you probably want to call and make sure before packing everyone up in the car… Bon appetit!

Sweet things I want to always remember.

The other evening I was in my bedroom with my little boy and they are at the stage that they want to know who in the family looks like them or who they look like.
I looked at Steven’s long Blonde eyelashes and said your eye lashes are long like Daddy’s but they are blonde like Mommy’s.
He looked at me and said in that dear sweet little voice of his and said “Maybe that’s why we love each other so much”
I was taken back and I teared up of course and said “You know what, I think you are exactly right!”

How lucky am I God has given me 3 such precious gifts to make my life so rich and full of love. Never have I felt someone loved me so much. It is the most awesome feeling I have ever had more than any work related success I have ever had.

Sometimes I am just in awe of how lucky I am to have such wonderful little people that love me so much. God was so good to me.
I am enjoying every minute with these precious ones and I hope I am teaching them to be givers and achievers. To make this world a better place! It helps having a wonderful husband and partner like I do.

Money IS the root of all evil!

It is so true and not too long ago I was wishing I won the lottery! I would like to have it easier and not have to worry about rising bills, Christmas and Birthdays, some days. But I wonder if hitting it rich would be the best thing in the world.
Money is not the end all. Money cant replace your friendships or family.
Loved ones and friendship are more important than anything.
People fight over money, families break up, people get jealous or envious. Who got what and who deserves it and who doesn’t.
And who in their right mind would ever want to owe a friend or family member money. That would break up a friendship.
It’s actually a shame. I would not want people to envy me or be jealous of what I have. just my 2 cents and that’s all I have, 2 cents. God Bless, Tammy
