WHY YOUR PRESCRIPTION TAKES SO LONG TO FILL!

You come to the counter. I am on the phone with one of the many doctors we have to call that morning for last-minute refills people always seem to drop off 5 minutes before closing, the night before.

You tell me that your doctor was to phone in your prescription to me. Your doctor has not and you're unwilling to wait until he does. Being in a generous mood, I immediately call your doctor's office and am put on hold for 5 minutes. I am then informed that your prescription was phoned into my competitor on the other side of town.

Meanwhile, the phone starts ringing off the hook... I place 2 calls on hold...

Phoning the competitor, I am immediately put on hold for 5 minutes before speaking to a clerk, who puts me back on hold to wait for the pharmacist. Your prescription is then transferred to me, and now I have to get the 2 waiting phone calls that were put on hold while this was being done.

I return to the counter to ask if we've ever filled prescriptions for you before. For some reason, you think that "for you" means "for your wife" and you answer, "Yes," whereupon I go to the computer to see that you're NOT on file.

The phone rings…

You have left to do something very important, such as browse through the monster truck magazines, and you do not hear the three PA announcements requesting that you return to the pharmacy. You return eventually, expecting to pick up the finished prescription... only to find out that I need to ask your address, phone number, date of birth, if you have any allergies and insurance coverage. You tell me that you're allergic to codeine.

The phone rings…

Since the prescription is for Vicodin, I ask what exactly codeine did to you when you took it. You say it made your stomach hurt and I roll my eyes and write down "no known drug allergies." You tell me you have insurance and then spend the next 5 minutes looking for your card.

The phone rings…

You give up and expect me to be able to file your claim anyway. I call my competitor and am immediately put on hold. Upon reaching a human, I ask them for the insurance information on file for you there. I get the information and file your claim, which is rejected because you changed jobs 6 months ago.

An impatient customer barges his way to the counter to ask where the bathrooms are.

The phone rings…

I inform you that the insurance the other pharmacy has on file for you isn't working. You produce a card in under 10 seconds that you seemed to be unable to find before. (What you were really doing was hoping that your old insurance would still work because it had a lower co-pay).

Your new card prominently displays the logo of Nebraska Blue Cross, and although Nebraska Blue Cross does in fact handle millions of prescription claims every day for the group you belong to, the claim must go to a company called Caremark, whose logo is NOWHERE on the card.

The phone rings…

A lady comes to the counter wanting to know why the cherry flavored antacid works better than the lemon cream flavored antacid. What probably happened is that she had a milder case of heartburn when she took the cherry flavored brand, as they both use the exact same ingredient in the same strength.

She will not be satisfied though, until I confirm her belief that the cherry flavored brand is the superior product. I file your claim with Caremark, who rejects it because you had a 30 day supply of Vicodin filled 15 days ago at another pharmacy. You swear to me on your mother's life that you did not have a Vicodin prescription filled recently.

The phone rings…

I call Caremark and am immediately placed on hold. Upon reaching a human at Caremark, I am informed that the Vicodin prescription was indeed filled at another of my competitors. When I tell you this, you say that you got hydrocodone (which is generic for Vicodin), not Vicodin ... another little part of me dies.

The phone rings…

It turns out that a few days after your physician wrote your last prescription, he told you to take it more frequently, meaning that what Caremark thought was a 30 day supply is indeed a 15 day supply with new instructions. I call your doctor's office to confirm this and am immediately placed on hold. I then call Caremark to get an override and am immediately placed on hold. My laser printer has a paper jam. It's time for my tech to go to lunch. Caremark issues the override and your claim finally goes through.

Your insurance saves you 85 cents off the regular price of the prescription.

The phone rings…

At the cash register you sign the acknowledgment that your received a copy of my HIPPA policy and that I offered you the required OBRA counseling for new prescriptions.

The phone rings…

You remark that you're glad that your last pharmacist told you that you shouldn't take over- the-counter Tylenol along with the Vicodin, and that the acetaminophen that you're taking instead seems to be working pretty well. I break the news to you that Tylenol is the brand name for acetaminophen and you don't believe me.

You fumble around for 2 minutes looking for your checkbook and spend another 2 minutes making out a check for four dollars and sixty seven cents.

You ask why the tablets look different than those you got at the other pharmacy. I explain that they are from a different manufacturer. Tomorrow you'll be back to tell me that they don't work as well.

…Now imagine this wasn't you at all, but the person who dropped off their prescription three people ahead of you, and you wonder why your prescriptions takes so long to fill?

Now this is one for the books !

This really happened when I was working last week ....

A customer just came in line, talking loudly on her cell phone, conversing and just swinging her long mane of Lotta body curly curls, looking fabulous and her hair got caught on the turn pole, and it snatched her " wig " off as she was talking and walking, so into her cell phone conversation , not realizing the " wig " was gone .... after strange looks from the customers sitting in the lobby witnessing all this , and not knowing what to say during this delicate moment ... I finally said, excuse me you lost your wig .... the customer acted like she had no idea , what we were saying and totally ignored the wig , that had fallen limp on the floor ... it was finally thrown out with the trash. (( this was too funny ))

I am watching a movie called " Good Hair " , with Chris Rock narrating the movie, http://www.lionsgatedvd.com/

there is a lot of money in black peoples hair, it just appalls me that black women, or just women in general , are spending 1,000 plus for a 100 % human hair weave, this is simply crazy, my hair may not be on point all the time,

but, I will not sacrifice , who I am to look fly all the time, why look at me on point , with a fly hair style, a great name brand signature outfit , right down to the shoes, and inside my heart, I am tore up from the floor up....just busted and disgusted !

A large majority of these women are living in the projects, getting welfare, food stamps, Va Med , optima, anthem premier, and discount coupon cards. Section 8 is full of people like this, can barely pay the low-income rent, yet her hair is so, so , fly !

Struggling EVERY month to make the ends met. They will sell their stamps, by letting someone use her EBT card to get the extra cash needed to purchase that European look.

While a small percentage of Whites , but a huge majority of Koreans and Asians selling theses products, the crazy thing is , they don't even use these products , yet we blindly without question support the people who don't support us, they support our pocketbook.

Dudley is a black owned company , and we really should support our own, non blacks control the market on black hair products, yet we blindly support companies that don't give a darn about us, in India where hair is made, 10 inches or more is worth a lot of money,

over 10 million people in India sacrifice, for no fee their hair in a Hindu religious ceremony at least twice a year ,then their hair is sold for big $ dollars and then sold to vendors,

all over the world then people like John or Jane Doe buy this hair , so they can look European, to create a false since of success, a better job, home or prosperity.

So if you want to fit into todays corporate America, you must have a European look , with fancy name branded clothes and a tight whip to match.....( a whip is a car ) to fit in.

Like if your hair, is " Right " straight and relaxed , you will fit in and be more accepted, It amazes me how , a lot of black churches are full of weave wearing Saints, Sisters, Missionaries, Choirs, Ushers, First Ladies, Ministers, Pastor's , Evangelist, Apostles, or Prophets, etc

And no one questions the orgin of where that hair came from, its possible, you so busy praying and lifting up Jesus , with a possible " Hindu sacrifice ceremony " weave on your head .

Oh My ! the Hindu's, Whites, Asians and Koreans are laughing all the way to the bank , while there are 2 groups of losers, the Hindu's people who blindly sacrifice, their hair for no fee in exchanged for a blessing, and ( 2 ) the black women who have lost their identity, You are not your hair, embrace what God has given you and keep it moving !

Its OK to purchase a weave if you need it to enhance yourself, but pay your commitments, bills and take care of your children first ! What good is looking so ,so fly when you being evicted from, the low income housings apartment !

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY AND FORWARD TO THE PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT.

To those of you who are single or married, saved or not saved, this is for you. I am a 35-year-old African American or Black brother dying of Aids.
I would like to share my testimony with you.

I am an owner of a Mortgage Company in Atlanta , GA I own a 2007 Jaguar and I also own a $350,000 beautiful home in Cobb County . I have a beautiful Lady who is deeply in love with me and a loving family. But most important, I love Jesus, this is just a wake up call to all single brothers and sisters who are professing to be Christians, but don't want to be complete.

Brothers, I had a beautiful young lady who loves the Lord and worships the ground I walk on. But I still wasn't quite happy because sometimes I would see another sister with a Coca-Cola bottle shape and just wanted to hit it. Because I was using a condom, I thought that I wouldn't catch any disease especially the killer 'AIDS' but guess what? I did. And the person I caught it from was a girl that I knew very well. But the condom came off and now I am dying of AIDS.

Yes, I wore a condom and yes it did happen. God gives us time after time to straighten our lives up. I do know the Lord in his abandon pardon will forgive me of my sins. I've been saved now for 7 years. I found out 7 months ago that I had the virus, and now I have full-blown Aids.

I really didn't think that I was doing anything wrong, because I would tell the women who I would deal with about the woman I love. I thought that was good enough. But it wasn't. I am a good man and also a God-fearing man; but I have a weakness for women...

I really wasn't out there like you may think I was, but every once in a while I would see something and I wanted to try. My girlfriend is a prayerful woman. I know now that she was intimate with me only because she loved me and she wanted to make me happy. Now I've given AIDS to the woman I love (the only one who has been faithful to me) because of my lust.

Brothers and sisters, what I am telling you is that God is tired of us hurting each other and using each other for self-gratification. God has given me my home, my dream car and a beautiful woman and I took it all for granted. I've been tithing for 7 years. I am the chairman of my Deacon Board. But when I told my Pastor I had AIDS, he could not believe it because of the way I would carry myself.

Brothers, If you have a sister who loves the Lord and who loves you for who you are and not for what you look like and what you have, cherish and love her. Sisters. If you have a brother who loves the Lord, love and cherish him.

My life has been altered. I've been with my lady since I was 20, and I've always used my young age as an excuse for not being loyal and not settling down with her. I was being a hypocrite thinking that I was missing something, and not realizing that I had a good woman who loved and adored me.

I wish I had been a real man and I had appreciated the good woman God had sent by my side by not making excuses and dedicating my life to her. I would love to travel and marry this beautiful young Lady, but now I can't. I've embarrassed my family, my church and my friends. But I was hardheaded and now I must suffer. God is cleaning up. Stop playing with God. He is revealing the secrets of us Christians.

Brothers and sisters, we don't have to have so many 'friends,' you know what we call them. The ones we sleep with, the ones we intend to sleep with but haven't yet' and the one we intend to 'marry' We don't want anyone to know our business, but God has his way of revealing you to the world.

The young people of today think so carnal and we say we have been transformed. We have been transformed from what we want to be transformed from. Let's be real. God knows that the opposite sex attracts us, he also knows the desires we have for each other because he created us that way, but we do not have to have multiple partners.

If I could do it all over again, I would marry the woman I love and live happy forever. But now I can't! But you can! Singles...I gotta tell you, it's not worth it.

I urge you all Get rid of casual sex. This is really deep.
After you've read this, think about yourself. Could this have been you? Some of you may not relate, but think about anything you are doing right now that is not of God. We are living in the last and final days, and pretending to be saved is not going to cut it.

Professing that He is Lord, and yet worshipping the devil every chance you get will lead you to the same path I am walking on.
Get your mind out off the gutter and put it in the Word of God and you'll have great success. Don't and you'll have great woe.

I love the LORD and thank Him for all that He does in my life; therefore, I'm passing this on, this is my testimony and sermon to you. Yes, I do love Jesus who has forgiven me of the repeated sins. That forgiveness does not cancel out the consequences, I have to suffer the consequences of my sins and that's on me. Still, the Lord is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each day and he has given me the strength and ability to share my story with you.

I'm telling it like it is THIS REALLY is to help somebody. You know yourself, You know what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong. Do not let the world judge you coz it judges harshly and without mercy. Do the right thing man. I pray and trust you can take the courage I didn't have and straighten up your life before it's too late. I have Christ now for he is my source of joy and strength, I am nothing without him but with Him I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
