I had the pleasure of photographing Jane Fonda at the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program at The Harvard Club. This is an amazing program and Jane has been an activist and working with Dr. Carrera for many years. Jane asked me to email her some imgages and then she posted some of my images on her blog! Edi & Cole, Part II

Here is the second part of Cole & Edi's wedding!

The reception was at Superfine in DUMBO. (The food was amazing by the way!) It felt more like a rock concert that night - apparently to be friends with them you MUST be able to rock it on stage! We had a blast and think everyone else did too! I loved Edi's second dress - very chic!

OK, I adore you both and wish you all the happiness in the world. We share a special bond and I'm just think you both are amazing. Cheers!

We had a great event last night with Cosabella at their New York showroom. Brides were able to create their own bridal lingerie registry and I showed off some recent Urban Boudoir work! Guest were treated to champagne, mini-cupcakes, stationary and a garter as well as discounts with Spa Chicks on the Go.

Edi & Cole, Part I

What to say, what to say? Well, I was a guest at this amazing wedding of our good friends Edi & Cole and Ira Fox photographed the event for me - them - us. Well, we just loved the whole day and night and can't stop gushing about how amazing everything was. First off, the thunderstorm suddenly cleared as dear Edi came down the aisle and the sun was shining the rest of the afternoon! The guests were escorted to dinner at Superfine by a duo of musicians and we arrived to a sumptuous cocktail hour and amazing dinner. Oh, and apparently to be friends with Edi & Cole you must be able to rock it on stage! It was like being at the Grammys! Well, the party was amazing and Don & I danced the night away and met so many of Cole & Edi's friends and family. Cheers to my amazing friends! I love you both! Thanks for having us and letting us capture the day! Oh, this is Round 1 of the photos - there will be more later! I just had to give you a taste! XOXO

Barbara and Simon's Engagement Shoot in New York City

Barbara and Simon, who are getting married later this month, wanted a fun New York engagement shoot so we found several locations and had a great time shooting around the city. We started off by Lincoln Center, headed to Columbus Circle, Central Park and the to the fabulous Robert Indiana Love sculpture on 6th Avenue. We finished at the cutest art installation on Park Avenue! I'm loving the sheep sculpture! Good times! You can see all the images by clicking here but you have to get the password from the couple!

I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Mariel's wedding to Jonathan on Monday at the lovely 632 on Hudson venue in New York City. Mariel and I attended Parsons together and it was lovely to see her and some old college friends! These two are so in love! Here's a peek from the wedding - I'll post more soon!

The flowers were by my good friend Brian at Earth Gardens and her dress was by Monique Lhuillier.

I thought I would post some fun images once in a while so here's the first - the photo of the day! This is recording artist Akon, whose actually birth name, according to Wikipedia, is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam. Wow! That's like the best name ever! There is also much speculation to his real age and birthday - but that doesn't matter. I took this at the Michael Jordan Basketball Classic at Madison Square Garden a few months ago.

Baby Pit Goodie Finds a Home!

We are happy to announce that after just 2 weeks Baby Pit Goodie aka Rufus has a new home! Our friends Chris & Rebecca and their daughter Maggie came to The Bronx from Boston to meet him over the weekend and they adopted him last night! We are so thrilled that he has a new loving home and so grateful for everyone who helped give this little guy a great home! We have had him in our house for a week and he really added to the energy of the house. Even our Great Pyrenees Daisy took him in! Thanks to Brian, Gigi, Lucy, Ana, Angel and Don for being such awesome neighbors and thanks to Dr. Lenny Silverman in Park Slope for keeping him healthy!

Personally, I think that we should get the dog to Twitter - we all want to know how he is doing! I do know he went for a 3 mile walk this morning and then headed to Petsmart. Hmm, looks like someone is getting some new toys!

Adopt-A-Cutie

OK, well, my neighbors found this lovely pup in an abandoned parking lot on our street. He was scared as can be but with a little food, water and the help of another puppy Lucy, they coaxed him out and we are now looking for a home! He is called Baby Pit Goodie but the owner is welcome to rename him! We took him to the vet so he's getting his shots and he's been neutered. He had worms but that's being treated and he's good to go! The vet thinks he's about 3 and seems to be a Pit Bull mix with maybe some sight hound and beagle but nobody knows for sure. He's really come a long way in 3 days! He is very snuggly and gives lots of kisses, enjoys gourmet chicken (from Citarella of course!) and is inquisitive about cats. He's been introduced to several dogs in the neighborhood and gets along with other dogs just fine. He's gone to the bathroom outside (both #1 and #2) so he might not be totally housebroken yet but he seems like a quick learner. We've been using all the Caesar Millan moves and he's doing great! He's a little thin and weighed in at 37 pounds at the vet but we think he should gain some weight.

He is a bit shy and wary of new people - he is a little afraid. Let's face it, you would be too if someone dumped you in a parking lot for 2 days. He nipped two people yesterday more out of fear than aggression and we are looking for someone who can work with him to help him with his self esteem. He didn't break the skin and isn't out to attack people. He's not aggressive - just a little wary but once he gets to know you he somothers you with affection and flops his little head on your lap.

Enjoy and thank you all! My dress was designed by Gina at Adrienne's - she made it from a sketch! We got ready at the Waldorf Astoria where Ingeborg (call me for her contact info!) did my hair & makeup. The ceremony was at the Brooklyn Pop-up Chapel in Williamsburg and and our officiant was Mary from Weddings of New York. We had cocktails and dinner at Mymoon in Williamsburg. My bouquet was designed by Brian at Earth Gardens (with styling consulting by Lorenzo Salazar!) and made from Yves Piaget roses. I'm already receiving accolades about the amazing service at dinner! They were absolutely amazing and the food was incredible. Oh, and the shoes were from Ferragamo!

OK, now it is my turn!

I've been a little quiet about all this but this amazing thing happened...I've been trying to figure out what Don and I should do for our own wedding and I stumbled upon the Brooklyn Pop Up Chapel. Well, Don and I talked about it and we sent in a letter and the next day we were offered a wedding! So, we will be tying the knot on Friday the 26th (yes, 3 days from now).
