All those who sit and wait for the opportunity to take what is not theirs through lies, deceit, trickery, and treachery will have the same thing happen to them.  Do not associate with these types of people (for the company you keep does effect your perceptions, attitudes and actions. It is a good indication of who you are and of your character. The old saying that you can judge a person by the company they keep is true,). The spiritual Law you reap what you sow is evident here.

Wisdom and knowledge call you down another path. Wisdoms offer enlightenment and knowledge but warn all who refuse its instructions that calamity is at hand. Your lifestyle will eventually bring back to you everything that you put out there.

I am 23 yrs old and I feel that our legends are quickly leaving us within the last few years. I feel like the young generations and the generations to come have the responsiblity of keeping our legends alive.

Michael Jackson’s death was sudden and shocking because it came right out of nowhere. He was about to go on a big tour that probably would have put a huge dent in financial woes. I adored Michael Jackson and his music a lot of his music was around before I was born and when I was still in diapers. My favorite song by Michael Jackson is Thriller and the music video for Thriller was so amazing, my younger brother and sister and I used to watch and listen to that continuously. I think my mother and father were forced by me in particular that I was coming into my own entertainment world to get me my own tv/vcr set and boom box. They obviously didn’t want to hear me play Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson over and over again. Losing Michael Jackson yesterday is still unbelievable I haven’t stopped watching the news about Michael. I was so heartbroken by this tragedy watching his old music videos and performances on tv was uplifting because it took you back and you remembered where you were when you heard it; but it was also sad because you lost a huge piece of music that was not one dimensional he was pop, r&b, funk, rock, soul all wrapped up into one person. He will be sorely missed.

Farrah Fawcett passing away yesterday morning was a blow even though we knew her life was coming to an end due to her struggle with cancer, her spirit seemed like it was strong enough to cure her. I watched her documentary and there times during show that I had to turn away and I have a medical background; but to see someone you adored go through what she was going through was tough to watch. It made me realize how tough she was; you couldn’t break her spirit, her fight live on. I first remember her on reruns of Charlie’s Angels, I would only watch it if Farrah was on. Then my grandmother and I would have these movie nights almost every Saturday night, one movie that remains one of my favorites was “The Burning Bed” that movie really showed Farrah’s range of acting ability and after that I was hooked on Farrah. To this day anytime that movie comes on I am drawn to watch that movie. I know a lot of people are upset that her death is being overshadowed by the death of Michael Jackson but maybe his death will give her family the privacy they struggled to have during her 3 year battle over cancer. Farrah Fawcett will remain an Icon to many men and women old & young and will maintain her legendary status.

Ed McMahon died June 23rd 2009 I knew him for star search as well as anyone else of my generation. This show introduced us to some of the biggest stars of today. I was not around for or was too young for Jonny Carson’s Tonight show where Ed McMahon was the announcer. Ed McMahon’s cause of death is still unsure but they believe it had to due with cancer. He as well is a pop culture Icon many stars of today will tell you that they got started or wanted to be on star search. I loved to watch star search it was kind of like our first American Idol. Even though American Idol is hugely successful the show took the ideas from star search. Ed McMahon will be missed.

An old man in Mississippi was sitting on his front porch watching the sun rise. He sees the neighbor’s kid walk by carrying something big under his arm.

He yells out “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

Boy yells back “Roll of chicken wire.”

Old man says “What you gonna do with that?”

Boy says “Gonna catch some chickens.”

Old man yells “You damn fool, you can’t catch chickens with chicken wire!”

Boy just laughs and keeps walking.

That evening at sunset the boy comes walking by and to the old man’s surprise he is dragging behind him the chicken wire with about 30 chickens caught in it.

Same time next morning the old man is out watching the sun rise and he sees the boy walk by carrying something kind of round in his hand.

Old man yells out “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

Boy yells back “Roll of duck tape.”

Old man says “What you gonna do with that?”

Boy says back “Gonna catch me some ducks.”

Old man yells back, “You damn fool, you can’t catch ducks with duck tape!”

Boy just laughs and keeps walking.

That night around sunset the boy walks by coming home and to the old man’s amazement he is trailing behind him the unrolled roll of duck tape with about 35 ducks caught in it.

Same time next morning the old man sees the boy walking by carrying what looks like a long reed with something fuzzy on the end.

Old man says “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

Boy says “It’s a pussy willow.”

Old man says “Wait up … I’ll get my hat.”

And then the fight started…

My wife and I are watching “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” while we were in bed.. I turned to her and said, “Do you want to have sex?”
“No,” she answered.
I then said, “Is that your final answer?”
She didn’t even look at me this time, simply saying, ”Yes.”
So I said, “Then I’d like to phone a friend.”

And then the fight started….

Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day.

I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. I cuddled up to my wife’s back, now with a different  anticipation, and whispered, “The weather out there is terrible.”

My loving wife of 10 years replied, “Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?”

And that’s how the fight started…

I rear-ended a car this morning. So, there we were alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny? Yeah, well I couldn’t believe it…. He was a DWARF!!!

He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, ”I AM NOT HAPPY!!!”

So, I looked down at him and said, “Well, then which one are you?”

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver’s license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.

The woman said, ‘Unbutton your shirt’. So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, ‘That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me’ and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office.

She said, ‘You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too.’

And then the fight started….

nearby table.

My wife asked, ‘Do you know her?’

‘Yes,’ I sighed, ‘She’s my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she
hasn’t been sober since.’

‘My God!’ says my wife, ‘who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?’

Two Traveling Angels

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion’s guest room..

Instead the angels were given a small space in
the cold basement.   As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

‘Things aren’t always what they seem.’

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night’s rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the
older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to
share everything, and you let the cow die.

‘Things aren’t always what they seem,’ the older
angel replied.

When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn’t find it.’

Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed,the angel of death came for his wife.. I gave him the cow instead.

Things aren’t always what they seem.

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don’t turn out the way they should.. If you have  faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later…
