On Sep 9, my son was born. Although every new parent always mentions the amazing feeling that is having a little one, there are no words capable of actually describing what is to hold this little new person and knowing that he is part of you, and will be a very central part of your life. Let's just say that I'm a very happy man.

Silhouette of the National Monument of Scotland, located on Calton Hill, Edinburgh, Scotland. Modelled on the Parthenon (Athens), the National Monument of Scotland is a memorial to the Scottish soldiers that died on the Napoleonic Wars. Construction started in 1826 and was interrupted in 1829. It's still unfinished.

Boats at Cala'n Porter, Menorca, Spain. A couple of boats on the clear blue waters of Cala En Porter. The water is so clear, and in combination with white sands, the shadows of the boats on the sea floor are very defined, and almost seems like the boads are just floating.

The Museum Hall

Central Hall at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. The National Museum results from a merger of the Museum of Scotland, built in 1998, and the former Royal Museum, built in 1861. After a massive renovation, the building re-opened in July 2011. Going through the different halls, and passing from the new to the old from one hall to the next is a peculiar yet pleasant characteristic of the museum. Pictured is the great hall, part of the former Royal Museum, with its cast iron construction rising the full height of the building, and ending in a magnificent skylight.

Lighthouse at the Newhaven Harbour, Edinburgh, Scotland. Long Exposure image, made from inside the harbour. Newhaven is a district of the city of Edinburgh, at the north of the city, between Leith and Granton. The lighthouse and pier are a favorite spot with local fishermen.
