Ron Paul gives the libertarian perspective on the recent swine flu scare. The bottom line is that the Government should not be in the health care business.

In 1976, with a previous swine flu scare, more people died as a result of the Government's inoculation program that actually died of the swine flu.

The Department of Homeland Security should not be in the health care business.

Recipe for disaster: IMF selling 403 tons of gold

A recent article on MarketWatch reports that the IMF will be selling 403 tons of gold to help provide finance for the poorest countries over the next few years.

This is surely a sign to buy more gold, especially given international Reserve banks' poor record when it comes to selling gold: Bank of England started to sell their gold holdings when gold was still in the $200's!

Additionally, they will also purchase $750 BILLION in mortgage-backed securities from Fannie and Freddie, effectively PRINTING more than ONE TRILLION DOLLARS with the push of a button!

In a recent interview with David Frost on AlJazeera, Jim Rogers blame Alan Greenspan and the Fed for not letting people fail. It all started with the bailout of Long Term Capital Management. If it was not for the LTCM bailout, people like Bear Sterns would still have been in business.

He also added that he has 'ZERO' respect for the World Bank and IMF. He further added that "the best thing that could happen is if we can abolish the World Bank and the IMF".
