Kim Kivens of Savage will be featured in the Minneapolis Musical Theatre production of “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” which opened Nov. 6 and runs through Nov. 22.

The Library Foundation of Carver County sponsors Favorite Reads, an event that will feature local guest presenters discussing some of their favorite reads. Guest presenters include Carver County Commissioner Gayle Degler, Judge Mike Fahey, naturalist Jim Gilbert, Chanhassen librarian Kathy Perschmann, and local journalist Unsie Zuege who will emcee. The evening will include drink specials, raffle drawings, door prizes. Featured books will be offered for sale at the event.
Time: 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12
Cost: $20 in advance; $25 at the door

'Cinderella'

Children's Theatre Company’s holiday show promises to delight all ages with an uproarious rendition of one the great classic fairy tales. This is a Cinderella jam-packed with a wacky, wondrous mix of dance, physical comedy, spectacular sets, and outrageous costumes. The tale of the girl who rises from the ashes to take her rightful place alongside the prince is deliciously performed in panto style, an enduringly popular form of English theater.
