The first ever episode of LDC TV! Hope you like it… excuse my English if you think it sucks, I’m from Sweden remember? Also this was shot at 3 am in the morning… and I REALLY need to stop doing that with my hands, it looks ridiculous and make my hands look stupidly big.

Wow… right?

Being so INTO the internet every single day – it’s where I make my living! – it’s hard to understand that so many people are so… un-techy.

Maybe we should reconsider the tech skills of our target markets…

…and are fancy graphics really that important from a conversion standpoint?

First, a disclaimer as I’m speaking from personal experience here, and my experience can’t possibly be that of someone else’s… so people will disagree. Just to let you know.

Work.

All the success books teach us that you don’t need to work hard to be successful, right?

You know the old cliché – Work smarter, not harder?

Yeah.

Though it’s not hard to be successful… meaning you don’t have to work hard to be successful, like they all say… I think VERY few highly successful people became successful in an easy manner.

When you’re there, it’s not hard.

But what about GETTING THERE in the first place?

If you read almost any really successful person’s biography, I think very few of them will say that one day, they just decided “nah, I don’t wanna be unsuccessful anymore, let’s be successful instead!” and then they made a billion dollars the next day.

I find it a little hard to express myself here, but what I’m trying to say is… You need to HUSTLE to GET SUCCESSFUL, but when you’re there it’s not so hard anymore.

When you are genuinely successful, it will be just as EASY as it previously was to be unsuccessful.

So yes, being successful isn’t especially difficult – but getting there is a whole other story.

Sure, if you can go from being completely unsuccessful to having the mindset of Mr. Gates overnight – then sure it won’t be so hard getting there. But I don’t think that will happen for a whole lot of people any time soon.

So what I’m saying is - YOU NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.

If you’re not successful right now – and you want to be…

STOP making excuses and START HUSTLING.

I’ve been listening a lot to Gary Vaynerchuk lately and I’ve come to change the way I think about my marketing.

I’ve been taking so many things for granted, I realize that now.

So my new objective here is to be TOTALLY TRANSPARENT in all of my marketing. No sneaky tricks or whatever.

Now my most recent promotion was that of IM Remarkable by Howie Schwartz.

It’s a $2k – $5k product. And there’s also a triple payment option…

Yeah I’m offering a bonus… and in past promotions I’ve always EXPECTED PEOPLE TO SPEND MONEY THROUGH ME.

Basically I’ve expected to make a couple hundred/thousand bucks every time I send out an email.

How seriously freaking CRAZY is that?!

Now I’ve gotten some sales on this IM Remarkable – and now the fact that people are willing to spend FOUR FIGURES to get a bonus from ME – a 15 year old kid sitting in a basement in a small city in Sweden – it’s just so incredibly humbling and flattering.

So for everyone who has ever spent money and bought something through me – a HUGE THANK YOU! It means the world to me that you’re willing to trust me with your hard earned money like that. It just blows me away.

So from now on – I can GUARANTEE you that I will ALWAYS ALWAYS be completely transparent, honest and totally real with everything I do.

I’m guilty of it too… Setting an income goal.

For the past several months, I have been focused on making $xxx per day.

Everyone tells you to set CLEAR goals, right?

It’s goal setting 101 – be clear and specific.

So an income goal seems to be very clear, right?

“Make $300 per day” or a more specific example “make $100 per day on autopilot in my clickbank account”.

Or something like that.

Seems clear enough right?

That’s what I’ve done up until… right about since the beginning of this month really.

It’s like a lightswitch went off in my head…

I’ve realized that income goals are TOO FUZZY. They may seem to ve perfectly clear and specific on the surface, but really they are the opposite.

You say “I want to make $100 a day”… your subconscious mind (the part of your brain responsible for bringing your goals into reality) instantly fires back… “Why?”

You want money? Heck, it’s just paper or some numbers on a screen.

Realize this: Your subconscious mind is not a logically thinking creature.

In other words:

Your subconscious mind sees no practicality in making this money, and therefore gives this goal no attention.

But you say “But once I have this money I’ll be able to do this, this and this! I’ll be so happy!”

Yeah, good luck telling your subconscious that.

Here’s what happened for me.

I’m 15 now. Since about mid-June, I decided I wanted a moped. This one to be specific.

Without realizing it… it became the focus of my subconsious mind. A real goal. Something tangible. Now my subconscious could easily see the benefits of acquiring this. Easy transportation, getting to school in 5 mins, not having to wait for the bus, freedom, fun.

Now after setting a CONCRETE SOLID TANGIBLE goal… what’s the difference?

Well, in the last few days alone:

Affiliate sales:

Flipped a website for the first time ever:

And on top of that, I just WON $1500 in Howie’s JV Cash Competition for IM Remarkable. This is from the recent email sent out to JV partners.

Yep… all this from a simple shift in thinking. This is more than enough to afford that moped, and I’m most likely picking it up next week.

That’s over $6k in a few days.

Now I’m not telling you this to brag, not at all. But merely to demonstrate the difference made from a simple shift in the way I set my goals.

I don’t know, I found this somewhat amusing. As this is a blog about affiliate marketing, I figured my readers would need to know this.

Yep, the FTC is trying to kill 90% of affiiate marketers’ businesses.

Basically, if you endorse something without telling whoever is reading it that you might get paid or whatever, the FTC will drop the hammer. Or whatever it is they do.

“Online, if you think that somebody is providing you with independent advice and … they have an economic motive for what they’re saying, that’s information a consumer should know.”

What a bunch of crap.

In my opinion, it’s still the ‘consumer’s choice to pull out their freaking credit card in the first place.

It’s not like we force people to do anything, we just kind of point them in the right direction.

“BUY THIS NOW THROUGH THIS LINK OR I WILL EAT YOUR CHILDREN!!!11!!1!”

No, it’s not like that.

And oh, I found this amusing:

So parents keeping blogs to update family members on their child’s first steps technically would fall under the FTC guidelines, though they likely would have little to worry about unless they accept payments or free products and write about them.

But they would need to think twice if, for instance, they praise parenting books they’ve just read and include links to buy them at a retailer like Amazon.com Inc.

That’s because the guidelines also would cover the broader and common practice of affiliate marketing, in which bloggers and other sites get a commission when someone clicks on a link that leads to a purchase at a retailer. In such cases, merchants also would be responsible for actions by their sales agents — including a network of bloggers.

Amazon declined to comment.
