Paul Randolph – Soldier

Paul Randolph has teamed up with ancestral soul producer Boddhi Satva on a new song called “Soldier.” The release includes ten – yes, ten – remixes by Daz I Kue, N’Dinga Gaba, GiKu, and of course Boddhi Satva.

Nu Era – The Third Adam

Marc Mac is bringing back his Nu Era persona for an album of vintage techno colliding with 4hero-style soul, and it’s called The Third Adam. Very much an electronic release, Mac relied on a laptop, vintage drum machines, and analog keyboards for composition and recording. But Nu Era is still Marc Mac so The Third Adam is filled with Future Soul, Funk, and Nu Jazz. The album is out on May 20, but you can pre-order now.

Ty – Kick Snare And An Idea Part 2

Ty is releasing Kick Snare and an Idea Part 2 in June via Tru Thoughts Records. The single is the second of two, and comes on the heels of Kick Snare and an Idea Part 1, which was released in April. The first track is called “Let’s Start” and its video, featuring dancer Teneisha Bonner, is below.

The second track on the release is called “Well Well Well,” and features Richard Spaven, Joy Jones, and Jason Yarde.

Harleighblu – Enough Now

“Enough Now” by Harleighblu was originally featured on a 12″ compilation released by Tru Thoughts Records specifically for Record Story Day 2013. The song is also the lead single and video from Harleighblu’s forthcoming album Forget Me Not, which is due out in the fall. Harleighblu made the video in her local record store, the Nottingham Exchange.

Quasimoto – Yessir Whatever

Due out in June, Madlib is releasing a new Quasimoto LP called Yessir Whatever. For the uninitiated Quasimoto, also known as Lord Quas, is the alter ego of Madlib himself. The producer invented the character years ago, and featured his rhymes on personal beat tapes that he shared with friends. Madlib has since made two albums as Quasimoto: The Unseen and The Further Adventures of Lord Quas. Now, over a decade later, Lord Quas returns on Yessir Whatever. You can hear the song “Planned Attack” below.

The digital version of the album is out now via Stones Throw Records. Vinyl and CD editions will be out June 18, and will come with a peel-off cover sticker that reveals Quasimoto’s insides.

My Neighbour Is – Fish & Chips

Manchester-based producer My Neighbor Is has dropped some heavy dancefloor funk in his album called Fish & Chips. Equal parts head-nodding and breaking, Fish & Chips is instrumental hip hop for listeners who want to move. The boogie and the beats don’t stop with this one.

Smokey Robotic

Is “hipster soul” the new “blue eyed soul?” Seer, Father Dude, !llmind, and Konrad OldMoney, also known as Smokey Robotic, have just dropped this track called “Unlike Anyone,” and it comes from their recent album MUSIUM.

Tokyo Dawn – The Heart Volume 3

Tokyo Dawn Records wants to seduce you with this collection of romantic future soul ballads. Tracks like “Hoping” by Blaktroniks will have you ready for affection from the start. And Positive Flow’s flirtatious “Do What I Do” featuring the vocals of Omar is idea for more intimate dancing, as is the Rankine and Atherley joint, “Love Is Here Now.” Also sure to stoke the listener’s passion are Kyra Simone’s “Desire” and “Beauty” by Amenta.
