Legacy of America, Inc. to Host Open House for Grand Opening of New Office Space

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 14, 2010 – Auburn Hills-based wealth management and retirement planning firm Legacy of America, Inc. announced today they are hosting an open house to celebrate the grand opening of their new office space. The announcement was made by Legacy of America, Inc. President and Founder George Wells.

The event will take place Friday, May 7 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Legacy of America Inc.’s new office located at 2601 Cambridge Ct., Suite 206 in Auburn Hills. Located next door to their former space, the new office is double in size and offers a variety of amenities to make clients feel more at home, including modern architectural design and décor, a comfortable lobby and a spacious conference room for client meetings.

Wells and his staff will be available to meet with retirees and soon-to-be retirees who are interested in learning about the firm’s wealth management services. The firm will make a donation to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute for each person who attends. Food and drinks will be provided for guests as well as local business discounts. Committed to giving back to the community, Legacy of America, Inc. will also be offering an exclusive pre-release of their new educational DVD series “Living Your Legacy” for guests who make a donation of any size to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan.

Legacy of America, Inc. to Host Informational VA Benefit Workshop at Sunrise Assisted Living of Rochester

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., February 8, 2010 — Retired veterans and their families are invited to attend an educational seminar titled “VA Benefits: What you need to know” hosted by wealth advisor George Wells, the president and founder of Legacy of America, Inc., a retirement planning and asset preservation firm based in Auburn Hills.

The seminar will be offered at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Rochester.

Wells created the “VA Benefits: What you need to know” workshop after discovering that many wartime veterans are unaware that they may qualify for the Aid and Attendance benefit, a tax-free pension from the Veterans Administration to help veterans and their surviving spouses cover the costs of in care assisted living facilities. In order to be considered for eligibility, a veteran must have served duty for 90 days or more, at least 1 day in active wartime and be over the age of 65. Veterans with spouses who meet the requirements are entitled to a monthly pension of up to $1,949, single veterans $1,644 and surviving widows of veterans $1,056.

During the presentation, Wells will educate attendees about information regarding the Aid and Attendance benefit and provide helpful advice for veterans and their families to determine eligibility, as well as provide specific directives about how to obtain it. Wells will also discuss little known tax rules for 2010 and how they may impact certain individuals.

Craig Martin Named Activities Director at Legacy of America, Inc.

Martin previously served as new Accounts Manager at Legacy of America, Inc. In this expanded role, Martin will conceptualize, manage and implement the firm’s frequent educational events, retiree communication initiatives and ongoing community outreach programs.

Jeff Davies Joins Legacy of America, Inc. as Director of Operations

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., August 5, 2009 – Legacy of America, Inc., an Auburn Hills, Mich.-based retirement financial specialists, has announced the hiring of Jeff Davies as Director of Operations. Firm President and Founder George Wells made the announcement.

As Director of Operations, Davies will be an additional resource to meet client’s needs and oversee office operations on a day-to-day basis. Prior to joining Legacy of America, Inc., he served as the regional director for Nexteppe Business Solutions, a startup software company specializing in automotive dealership websites and technology applications.

“We engineer retirees’ financial futures,” comments Wells as he adds yet another engineer to the staff. “Jeff adds strong technical expertise required to manage the complexity of today’s economy. More than ever, retirees want logical, black and white solutions from professionals they can depend on.”

Davies is a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Michigan Technological University, where he earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. He received his Master in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Jeff currently resides in Clarkston with his wife Lindsay.

Craig Martin Joins Legacy of America, Inc. as Events Marketing Director

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 27, 2009 – Legacy of America, Inc., an Auburn Hills-Mich.-based retirement planning and asset preservation firm, has announced the hiring of Craig Martin as events marketing director. Firm President and Founder George Wells made the announcement.

Martin will conceptualize and oversee the firm’s ongoing and frequent educational events, client communications initiatives and community outreach programs.
