Turbine Light concept

Ingenious, eco-friendly concepts are all around us, there's no denying that. This one caught our eye because it's pretty innovative, seemingly well thought out, and good looking to boot. The Turbine Light concept (which is going to be a part of the upcoming Greener Gadgets conference in New York City at the end of this month) harnesses the power of the wind from cars rushing past to light up the ever-darkening roadways. The turbines use the wind collected to generate energy for the lighting, and...

Keep on reading: Turbine Light concept

Here is some great peace of work, documentations of dioramas and full-scale instalations that are built on-site in the landscapes.

Author use these as the means to explore issues of illusion, imagination, narrative and potential of the ordinary. He approach his photographic work with a theatrical sensibility that permits him to intermingle issues that arise from contemporary painting, cinema and land art. The resulting images are surreal images, given that they resoult from this cross-pollin...

Keep on reading: LED Landscape illusion

Mimicking an aerosol can, Paris-based designer Aïssa Logerot's Halo uses an LED light in place of a nozzle and gets its power from the same shaking action that mixes the paint.
The interchangeable LED bulbs allow different colors and brightness depending on the occasion.

A GIANT flower designed to light up by catching energy from the wind will soon shine as a beacon on the new look Widnes Waterfront.
Plans to build a 50ft high illuminated flower out of galvanised metal, with 120 petals were approved by Halton councillors on Monday evening.
Architect Anna Liu, aged 43, who won a competition to design the public art sculpture, spoke exclusively to the World this week.

Designed by Vadim Kibardin this amazing clock has built from polycarbonate and Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED).
Each figure (60mm x 110mm x 10mm) has self-contained power supply and independent control, it can be fixed to any surface autonomously. A light sensor will switch the clock to an invert mode: the figures are white in the dark time of day and black at daytime.

The 72 x 160-foot LED wall at the center of the new Cowboys Stadium is certainly impressive enough when it's showing game highlights or concert footage, but no giant screen ever truly earns its credentials until it's been put to some real use: playing video games. Thankfully, Jonas Brothers video director Steve Fatone somehow pulled himself away from concert preparations to do just that earlier this week, and apparently became the first person to ever play Xbox 360 on the display in the process....

Keep on reading: Playing Xbox 360 @ Giant Cowboys Stadium LED wall
