Just as in most industries, professional coaching has its periods of high demand and those times when clients are few and hard to come by. This month we focus on how to create a dynamic marketing strategy to move you through those lulls in business and to make the most of your downtime.

Many independent professionals make the mistake of thinking that they can walk away from their marketing efforts when clients are beating down their doors. If you have no idea what we mean then this special edition is just for you. Social media is all the rage these days. If you aren't a twittering twit on Twitter, a recommended link on LinkedIn or insanely addicted to Facebook, then you are really behind in the times.

These online networking applications belong to a group most commonly known as social media. Social media are internet-based tools used to share and discuss information consisting of user-created content including video, audio, text or multimedia works. Blogs, wikis and instant messaging are all forms of social media.

Applications such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Skype and Facebook bring all of the best elements of social media into one forum allowing users to connect and network with one another in new and unique ways. Many coaches are successfully using social media to find new clients and to develop more personal relationships with existing ones. Some coaches are even finding ways to deliver their services solely via these platforms.

The much anticipated move of LCSN from Google Pages has finally arrived. Take a look around the new site and please, by all means, offer your feedback and suggestions for how we can be better. LCSN New Site Launch - February 9, 2009!

LCSN will launch the opening of its new site on Monday, February 9, 2009.

The new site will be located at http://www.lifecoachsupportnetwork.org. LCSN is happy to be officially making the moves from our old site on GooglePages since Google no longer truly supports that feature. LCSN will also no longer utilize the GoogleGroups message board as it has been inundated with SPAM and does not offer many of the features that would be enjoyable to our members.

LCSN will continue to utilize its group on LinkedIn for all discussion forums.

In celebration and preparation for our scheduled launch, LCSN is offering a discounted membership rate to the first 50 coaches who join. To find out more and take advantage of this offer, visit http://www.lifecoachsupportnetwork.org/introoffer.htm.
