A Big Shot Quilt Idea.

Wow-time has been flying by so quickly lately. I was so busy doing other things, including two craft fairs, I forgot to post!

So-Here is my version of the Big Shot quilt pattern that many S.U. Demonstrators are showing. My Sample-My original idea BUT-sewn by my friend and "Adopted" Aunt Bonnie Cornue. She is an award winning quilt maker and Handy with the sewing machine. Me-I am awesome with ADHESIVE not needle and thread! So I gave her the items and this is what we came up with. I think it looks Great and I would love your comments-good, bad, or indifferent!

The first one is a simple idea for all of you that do not want to sew (like Me). Just add Wonder Under or similar like heat and Bond, a thicker version if you do not want to sew at all. Just attach to fabric-run it through the Big Shot and heat set to whatever material. I used the Big Shot dies-Stampin' Up! Flower Folds #115970 $42.95, Circle Die #2 #114526 $15.95, and Leaves #2 $113460 $15.95.

The second is a 12 X 12 Pillow Sample. So Cool.

A Lesson learned and a Door Prize.

I know-you probably wondered why I have not posted something new in a few weeks. Sorry-But 2 weeks ago I lost my Hard Drive (and a Apple Tech helped me too!) while trying to update my computer. A Little traumatic for me-I lost 12 years of Stampin' Up!® forms, newsletters,etc my Husband's data from our main business, all my music but the worst part-The Pictures. We are talking My Husband and I from cruises, our life-Our Children's lives in pictures-baby-until 4.5 and 2 years-Gone. So thanks to a terrific crew at MC Services in Pewaukee, WI and the Customer Representative from Apple-I was able to get a new Hard Drive and recovered data. It will take me weeks to go through about 400,000 files or more. The Lesson here is-Back Up your computer TODAY!!!! I should have known better. I had an external Hard Drive and did not even use it. Again-Back up everything. Tax season or anytime-no time is good to lose your Computer.

Ok so on to the Fun Stuff. This is one of the Door Prizes for my Fabulous Frigid February Stampfest. We have 4 decorated magnets and a nifty candy dish. 2 gifts in one. Enjoy!

Just a little card idea I came up with while playing with my New Clear Mount Stamps.

I used Vintage Vogue (W #117690 $23.95 / C #118598 $17.95), Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (#115671 $9.95), Whisper White Card Stock(#100730 $7.50), Rich Razzleberry C.S (#115719 $10.95), Silver Brads (#104336 $6.95).

A Birthday Party.

Do you love parties? I do-that's why I became a Demonstrator. I do like doing kids parties too. I am Not a Clown-nor do I like Clowns. I believe that I am better -creatively speaking-entertainment. With a Kids party, starting with age 6, I create 3 age appropriate projects, and I provide the goodie bags. Here is an example of 2 of the goodie bags I made with our Fancy Favor Box Bigz XL die (#115965 $39.95). I filled with Kool-Aid, a stamp, a gel pen and they each got a headband. The mom advised me that her daughter Really Really liked Polka Dots. So I ran them through the Big Shot again using the Polka Dot Textures plate from our S.U. Backgrounds 1(#114512 $11.95). I hope you can see them.

It was Jenna's 11th B-day. She and her friends made a photo/note holder with a clip, a Bookmark with a Giant Paper Clip and altered a Journal (On Board Journal book #108495 $6.95 each). I also gave a Birthday gift to Jenna. The girls had a Great time.
