Suas recruiting Team Leaders in India and Kenya this summer

Suas is currently seeking to recruit Coordinators to work as part of the Programme Management Team on the 2012 Volunteer Programme. The Coordinator role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable leadership and management experience in a challenging overseas environment, working alongside dynamic and inspirational local partner organisations. Coordinators support and lead teams of volunteers through the duration of the programme, and are involved with the design and delivery of the programme, which includes a well-developed training and learning phase, a 12 week overseas placement from June to August (in India or Kenya) and a close-out on return to Dublin.
Suas are looking for enthusiastic individuals from all backgrounds who have had experience leading or managing a team and have worked in challenging environments. Coordinators will be able to adapt to working in an unfamiliar setting and will demonstrate high level communication skills, the ability to work towards shared goals and the sensitivity and empathy to work with others effectively.
Coordinators also complete comprehensive training, supported by industry experts, which provides valuable skills in areas such as team leadership, conflict resolution and health and safety.

This is a voluntary role - training, overseas expenses and a stipend are provided.

For further information please see the Suas website or contact Mary/Dermot on vp@suas.ie by Monday 9th January 2012.
