Cons: How would you improve 2009 Honda Accord?
Subdue the noise.
Have had issues with vibration and noise together at all speeds. I've been heard rumbling down the road, and back seat conversation is difficult through the noise. Honda mechanics deny.
Driver's seat comfort - not conducive to someone with shorter legs - can be painful on longer drives.
Stereo is mediocre.
Design - they're all beginning to look alike - Toyota, Mazda VW, Hyundai. Nissan.

2009 Honda Accord Review:
I'm over 50 and this is my first brand new car, can't say that I'm as excited as I should be. I've had 2 major episodes on acceleration while entering the interstate, where the car vibrated and made deafening noise. Of course nothing is found on examination. This was my choice - I was going on the reliability of the Honda - I maybe should have scrutinized better.

Rear brakes needed new pads at 33,000 kms. Not good at all for a Japanese built car. Conversation with Honda rep was a total waste of time. He stated this was normal. Should be re-called. Key fob very unreliable, and new batteries don't help. Will go back to North American vehicle.

the sleek style of both the interior and exterior,
great gas mileage,
love handling on curves,
strong engine performance,
folding back seat,
and XL trunk.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Honda Accord?
NOISE, NOISE, NOISE! I am really disappointed in all the noise heard inside the car. This is especially true at higher speeds.

I purchased my car late Aug 09, have taken it back to the dealer 3 times regarding all the noise and have been told "this is normal" or "I don't hear anything".

Honda, the NOISE is a problem that shouldn't be ignored or dismissed so easily. Listen to your customers...

2009 Honda Accord Review:
The purchase of my 2009 Accord was a BIG deal for me. I really splurged and paid more than I normally would not have paid this much for a car, but I liked the 2009 Body style and performance - this and HONDA's great reputation - I couldn't go wrong, right?.

Wrong! As much as I like the car, if it were possible, I would have returned this car because I am so unhappy with the interior noise and the HONDA's response.

I love my Accord, It has the pick up and the placement of the controls are perfect.

I had a 1995 Honda Accord prior to this and I gotta say, the two cars are very similar and that is a good thing to master in that many years.

***The rear brake pads wear far too quickly. Less than 5000 kms and the brakes are squealing like crazy. Honda is aware of the issue (although they claim it's regular wear and tear), but are not doing anything to resolve the issue***

2009 Honda Accord Review:
I fell in love with the new design. It looks great and drives well. I purchased the 4-door EX-L model in a manual transmission. I did a large amount of research before purchasing this car and found that it was really the best car for the price. The Honda Accord has always been a leader in its class for many reasons: reliability, performance and value.

All of this to say, I am extremely disappointed in my vehicle purchase. Apparently I should have done just a bit more research. The squealing brakes after less than 5000 kms (about 3000 miles) are completely unacceptable. I would never recommend purchasing this 2009 (or the 2008 model which has the exact same issue) model to anyone. It is not worth the hassle of having your pads/rotors replaced every 10,000 kms.

Honda has disappointed hundreds, if not thousands, of people by creating, marketing and selling such a product. Not only is the product disappointing, but so is Honda's response (or lack thereof) to the issue. Just because you have years of reliability behind you, does not mean it's ok to slack off and ignore the copious amounts of complaints you receive.

My advice: Do not buy this vehicle until Honda decides to issue a recall and fix this problem that cannot be ignored.

Paintwork very prone to stone chips.
Plastic creaks around the shifter; window rattle; intermittent small rattle from rear shelf. Passenger seat sometimes rattles.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
If it wasn't for the interior plastic creaks, etc., I would love this car. However, this Accord is not as tight a car as previous Accords that I have owned. Honda needs to improve its overall quality for this model.

Exterior style suits my taste. Got my polished metal color & loved it.
Tons of space at the back, 3 male friends (average build) sat together & gave compliments.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Honda Accord?
Better soundproofing on the roof, especially when it rains it sounds like I am sitting under a zinc roof.
Interior quality. Dashboard very plastic feel & when touched harder you get a "krek" sound.
Need to give quite a push to the the doors to close, unlike Camry just a little nudge & they close nicely.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
Poor interior quality. After 1 week I can hear squeaking sound from under front passenger seat & from the rear. Probably from the speakers mounting or rear sun shade. Driver side door also develop a "hissing" sound at >90kmh. I cannot imagine after 1 year would it sound like my old waja?! Driver side door trim looked like a patch up job & uneven gap between bonnet & front grill. What shitty quality for a Japanese car!!
Hate myself for loving the exterior look & black interior else would definitely have bought the Camry.

Bought a 4cyl. LX earlier this month and am pleased with the purchase.
Exterior looks great.
Interior has a lot of room, especially the back seating area. Plenty of leg and head room.
Engine is adequate for the size of the car.
Has a sporty ride to it and handles very well in turns and curves.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Honda Accord?
Drivers seat could be more comfortable.
Have also noticed a noise issue at higher speeds.
Base stereo leaves something to be desired.

2008 Honda Accord Review:
November 2007, I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord LX. I had to replace my back brakes for my 2008 Honda Accord LX on 09/26/08(less than a year) at 20,090 miles and did 2nd back brakes replacement on 08/31/09 at 38,093 miles. It appears I will need to replace my back brakes every 12 months or less. Honda should recall these cars for the brakes and repaired the problem; it is dangerous.

There are several complaints about the 2008 Honda Accord back brake problem and replacement. Have you had any complaints and if so, can you add my complaint to your list.
