Labor Day Air Balloon Classic

Labor Day has arrived at our door steps indicating the end of a long and fun summer holiday season. As I woke up this morning and looked out the window I noticed a strange object floating in the air. I thought to myself was it a bird ?, was it a plane ?, no, To my suprise and delite it was the annual flight of the Colorado Balloon Festival hot air balloons flying majestically overhead. This has been a tradition in this are for the past 33 years and it is such fun watching the hot air balloons brighten up the skyline with such beautiful colors.

Here is a pretty orange and blue air balloon gliding by the rooftops of a neighborhood and we even have a satellite view.

Even our cat Puffy was enjoing the images of the colorful air balloons gliding to their final destination.

Here is our final image of a yellow air balloon crossing the deep blue skies. It was a perfect day to watch all of beautiful air balloons filling up the sky with such pretty colors. As the end of the summer draws near we hope that you have had a wonderful summer and a joyous Labor Day weekend. Know it's time for me to light up the grill and enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend

Is There Still Time to Plant Fall Vegetables?

Summer is slowly slipping away and most of us garden enthusiests are harvesting or getting ready to harvest the fruits and vegetables of our labor. I myself have had a very good crop of Zucchini that we have been harvesting over the past couple of weeks. We also have decided that we are going to make a Zucchini caserole this afternoon to go with are dinner for this evening. Hmmm I can taste it already. Even though it may be late in the vegetable gardening season. There is still time to grow vegetables that you can harvest in the Fall and still keep your green thumb doing good things for your garden. Vegetables such as carrots, broccoli and collards are a great way to get started with a Fall vegetable garden. Like most home gardeners, I was first introduced to heirloom
vegetables through tomatoes. The Amish Brandywine couldn’t be beat, I was told,
and my pulse quickened at the thought of plump, misshapen beauties all summer
long. I’ve grown a number of heirloom tomatoes and found some of them fickle.
Some are more subject to disease, take forever to ripen and offer up a scant
harvest. What I overlooked are the heirloom tomatoes that thrive in my garden
given the soil, summer temperatures and dates to maturity.

Gardening really can help you make the earth move, according to a new study which found it improves men's sex lives.

As little as 30 minutes a week tending the garden or allotment can
dramatically improve men's performance in bed, according to the experts in the
field.Digging, weeding or mowing the lawn for half an hour reduced men's risk of
failing to live up to expectations in bed by more than a third, the survey
found.

The same study showed other forms of moderate exercise, such as dancing and
cycling, could have similar benefits.
