Flash Mob Against Diabetes

As part of World Diabetes Awareness Day, a flash mob was organized by Veronica Spencer in Oak Harbor, Washington. Dancing to Michael Jackson’s Beat It, the event was created by Spencer as her project in Landmark Education’s Self-Expression and Leadership Program. Read more at this Landmark Education SELP site.

Landmark Forum Leader TEDx Talk

During October, Landmark Forum Leader Michal Ziv of Israel delivered a TEDx talk in the Jaffa suburb of Tel Aviv. The talk began with her personal tale of seeing after a terrorist bombing that she wanted to make a difference with the situation in the Middle East, that it became a dream of hers, but she didn’t know how; it seemed too big and impossible and she thought of herself as too shy, until she did the Landmark Forum and saw an access for herself. The talk also discusses how to transcend cultural differences and create love and affinity with people.

YouCube Allows People to Share Their Lives, Artistically

Sixty artists in British Columbia came together to create sculpture cubes that shared their lives and what was important to them. Created by Cathy Key as her project in leading Landmark Education’s Self-Expression and Leadership Program, an exhibit was created which ran for a month in the Saanich Arts Center in Victoria.

Saffron Caravan Tours World, Brings Cultures Closer

Saffron Caravan is a multicultural world music tour created by Genesis at the Crossroads, an organization created in 1999 to foster peace and understanding by Wendy Sternberg during her participation in Landmark Education’s Self-Expression and Leadership Program. Saffron Caravan is the organization’s 18-country tour across the world, with musicians from all different cultures and backgrounds performing.

Dance Event Raises Cash for Kids

Janine Tijou took part in Landmark’s SELP course, and as her project she helped create ‘Property Does Strictly’, a dance event for the property industry, which is benefiting Children’s Charity Landaid.
