These are my poster children for Truman State. If anything can sell you on a college (besides a wonderful education of course) wouldn’t it be the finding the true love of your life? I think so! Here are a few from a sunny wedding day. I’m always trying to find away to maneuver my way around formal in front of the Church shots and the Truman campus was a perfect little walk away.

Ian did a great job! I love this one of these two. I was actually jealous of the venue. I think A Catered Affair is one of the prettest places around Centerville, IA to get married. I love old buildings and their back porch is to die for. Thanks so much Shawn and Robin. We wish you guys the best!

Senior Session

I have had so much fun getting to know Grady and all of the other Carsons. To say they are a ball of fun is an understatement. Sometimes I feel like it is a little difficult to get senior boys to open up, but in no time at all Grady was showing me his Heisman pose. And it was one of Dad’s favorites! It is so great to see parents who really treasure their kids. I think we really caught Grady’s personality and his modeling skills.

So tomorrow is Rory’s 3 month birthday. I’m so sad. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by. In celebration of her 3 months we had a quick session this morning before work. All we had to do is strip down and head to the ditch a crossed the road. Isn’t she just the most beautiful little girl you have ever seen! Okay so this Mom is a little biased.

Studio Closed

Hey everyone just wanted to send out a quick note to let you all know the studio will be closed starting Sunday August 1st and not reopening until Tuesday August 10th. All calls and emails will be returned on Tuesday. Thank you so much for your patience. Ian, Rory, and I will be headed to Vegas to finally see Uncle Corey. Rory has been working on her grin for Uncle Corey and I’m pretty sure it will steal his heart. We will only have a couple days with him, but we have been counting down the hours. We will get back in the middle of the week just in time for the Loberg wedding in Cozad, Nebraska. Oh boy are we excited for this one! We have missed our Sioux City friends so much in the last couple months.

Calling all Breastfeeding Mom’s!!!!

Hey ladies, I need a few models for a little bit of a project. August is breast feeding awareness month at the Putnam County Health Department. You can join them on facebook at PC Health Department . I am offering a free 20 minute session to capture that special bond between mother and child for a display at the health department. This is a model session. You will be displayed in a very tasteful–nurturing way. And I might share a few of your thoughts about your experience on the blog. This will last for month of august only. Only daytime appointments. If you are interested call the studio at 660.342.3237.

I have been breastfeeding Rory since her birth and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. It is the best gift I think I could ever give her and I cherish that special time with her. Although I am pretty new to motherhood it is one step I am so glad I decided to take. I think the major set back for me was that I didn’t know many people who had breastfeed. None of the women in my family had and I only

had a handful of friends that even tried. It didn’t seems natural to a me no matter how natural it actually was. I was a very intimidated by the whole idea before Rory was born, but after reading the all of the health benefits I had to make myself give my very best effort. Luckily, I was pointed in the right direction by a couple of friends to resources that made my experience wonderful. Now that I have experienced that special bond I wish more than anything that I could document it. There is nothing in this world sweeter than my baby in my arms holding my hand and looking up into my eyes. If you haven’t breastfeed I’m sure this seems crazy, but if you have I’m sure you know exactly what I am talking about. Take this opportunity to keep that moment for you!

If you have questions about breastfeeding. Contact the Putnam County Health Department expert Jeanie Johnson at 660.947.2429. She is wonderful! She can help you with any questions you might have. Also the Health Clinic has really nice breast-pumps available for loan.
