The teamspeak can now be accessed using teamspeak.hyruleonline.net I encourage everyone to use this address as the no-ip dns forwards will not be used officially in the future.  They may still exist, however they won’t necessarily point to anything that does exist.

In the future the game server address will be game.hyruleonline.net

Very soon the forums will be accessed via community.hyruleonline.net call me OCD but i just think it’s cleaner with a subdomain.

click connect and you’re in!

HO2 will be mostly likely be running within a Virtual Machine running on a Phenom II X4 rig with 4GB of ram and 1.5 terrabytes of storage.

none of this is really relevant, the requirements to run the server are extremely low, the last machine was incredibly overpowered for what we needed, this will be more than sufficient.

Hyrule Online 2.0 is being programmed by me, Lamaboy. We don’t have a definite release date, but we are plugging along quite nicely. For now the Hyrule Online 1.0 server will be down for an unknown period of time, likely indefinitely. For now, hang out on the forums, chat with one another, and chill while we bring you a game well worth the wait. well all of you know that everyone has been really busy and really not busy

the game is up, it’s been up, i shoulda followed up that last post ages ago, but i didn’t so forgive me.

there are a few holiday events going on right now like snowball tag and other stuff.

Kakariko villiage is all decked out for christmas, it looks pretty awesome.

expect more frequent updates and expect us to keep new stuff rolling out in game like we have been!

Right now there are at least two issues that we know of, although they may be related
there is the Runtime Error 10 and the Script Control Error
i have indeed found 1 character that is a trigger, whenever Angels Bank (or w/e) is killed the server crashes with a Script Control Error
we tested this extensivly and I can’t replicate it on a different character at all…but on that character a death causes the server to crash

so that is one trigger
there may be another trigger for the more common RTE10
the server seems to be very stable from about 2am(ish) – noon my time
outside of those times we’re lucky if the server stays up longer than 10 minutes
so knowing that there is at least one character triggering at least one type of crash, it may be that a character or characters are also triggering the other crash
it may also be an event, a quest, a script, a warp, we are not sure yet what is causing it, we have an idea of how to fix it, we just are not able to just yet
for right now, for the night I am keeping the server down because I can’t babysit it and even if I could, we can’t keep the server up long enough for it to matter to you players.
Sometimes the server crashes within seconds of being restarted.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience and please know that fixing this issue is my number 1 priority and as soon as nean pokes his head around again (hopefully tonight or tomorrow) we will get this issue fixed ASAP

on a lighter note, there are several new areas that are completed or nearing completion, or being worked on
Alphonse is remmapping many areas and they all look pretty grand, but need to be implemented.
other devs are working on Fire Temple, Ice Cavern, Goron city, Dodongo’s Cavern
we need to update everyones tilesheets before some areas can be released, so in the next full update (hopefully in a few weeks) we will be updating tilesheets and spritesheets and hopefully releasing new areas for everyone
