One night, Jennifer drags Needy to a local dive bar to attend a concert by indie rock band Low Shoulder, with eyes on its blithely evil lead singer, Nikolai Wolf (Adam Brody). While flirting with Wolf, Jennifer insinuates that she is a virgin. A disastrous fire destroys the bar, and Jennifer ends up leaving the bar with the band, who take her into the woods, where she learns that the band is worshiping Satan, and that Wolf intends to use her as a virgin sacrifice in order to gain fame. However, as Jennifer was not a virgin, the demon spirit takes over her body. Later that evening, Jennifer appears at Needy's house, covered in blood, looking vacant, and vomits a trail of "black ferromagnetic fluid".[4] The following morning, Jennifer appears fine, and the small town is devastated by the destruction of the local bar. A month after the incident Jennifer is beginning to look pale and tired. That day, Colin (Kyle Gallner) asks her on a date and that night she kills him brutally while Needy and her boyfriend Chip have sex. Needy senses this and leaves Chip's house in a panic. While driving she almost runs over Jennifer covered in someone else's blood. Needy rushes home and goes to bed. There she finds Jennifer who explains what happened that night after she left the bar with the band. She even goes to show Needy what happens when she is "full" and stabs herself and the cut heals almost immediately. Needy then kicks her out of the house and Jennifer jumps out of the second story window and vanishes. The next day at school the news of a death of yet another classmate stuns the school. Needy goes to the library into the occult section to do research and finds that Jennifer is weakest when she is hungry and must eat flesh in order to sustain her life and appearance. Needy surmises that Jennifer is eating the bodies of boys to survive.<br /> <br /> <br /> Needy decides she must stop Jennifer as she fears her boyfriend, Chip (Johnny Simmons), may be the next one she goes after. All the while the band that performed at the bar have become local heroes as they claim to have helped people out of the fire when they were no help at all. They rocket to fame and their single "Through the Trees" is the town's new anthem and the theme of the school's spring formal. Needy tells Chip not to attend the dance and breaks up with him because she fears for him but he goes against her and decides to go to the dance anyway. As he is walking to the dance Jennifer sneaks up on him, claiming she has always had feelings for him and that Needy was cheating on him with Colin. While he is upset she makes a move and they begin to kiss. Needy senses them kissing and runs out of the dance to find him. When she approaches the spot in the park where they were kissing she hears Chip yell coming from the abandoned pool on top pf a hill. As she forces her way inside she finds Jennifer feeding on Chip's neck. Then, Needy jumps in the pool and attempts to drown Jennifer but Jennifer begins hovering above the water as Needy helps Chip, who is bleeding from the neck, out of the pool. Jennifer and Needy begin to fight and as soon as Jennifer tries to attack her Chip stabs Jennifer with a pool skimmer. Jennifer bleeds a little but then escapes. Needy cradles Chip as he dies, both proclaiming their love for one another. Later, Needy attacks Jennifer in her own home, yelling, "You killed my boyfriend!" As they fight, Needy pulls out a boxcutter and cuts Jennifer twice across her stomach, which doesn't affect her. Needy rips off Jennifer's BFF necklace, which stuns Jennifer who begins to fall down to her bed. Needy comes down with the boxcutter stabbing Jennifer in the heart, and sets Jennifer free. After Jennifer dies, her mother comes and finds Needy on top of Jennifer's bloody body.<br /> <br /> <br /> Needy is committed to an asylum for the criminally insane. Since she was bitten by Jennifer who was a demon and survived she obtained some of Jennifer's supernatural traits. In addition to a team of cockroaches, the primary field team consists of guinea pigs Darwin (Sam Rockwell) (team leader), Juarez (Penelope Cruz) (martial arts), Blaster (Tracy Morgan) (weapons/transportation), star-nosed mole Speckles (Nicolas Cage) (cyber intelligence), and fly Mooch (reconnaissance) (Dee Bradley Baker). Hoping to impress his superiors on the eve of a budgetary review, the unit's leader, Ben (Zach Galifinakis), orders an unauthorized infiltration of the residence of home electronics and appliances magnate, Leonard Saber, who has been under FBI investigation for years. The team is able to successfully retrieve considerable sensitive information about a sinister scheme that is set to occur in 29 hours. However, when Ben's superior arrives for his evaluation, his astonishment at the team's capabilities and technology is overcome by his indignation at Ben's unauthorized mission and the fact that the downloaded intelligence appears to be useless information about Saber's coffee makers. As a result, the government agent orders the unit shut down, the equipment seized and the animals to be used as experimental subjects to be killed as security risks. With the help of their human compatriots, Darwin, Juarez, Blaster, Mooch, and Speckles escape with hopes of stopping Saber's scheme, but find themselves in a pet carrying case bound for a pet shop.<br /> <br /> Now trapped in the store's pet rodent display case, G-Force meets Hurley (Jon Favreau), a gluttonous guinea pig, Bucky (Steve Buscemi) an irascible hamster and three sycophantic mice. Although Blaster and Juarez manage to get themselves sold to a family with plans to return to extract their comrades, Speckles' own attempt to escape by playing dead ends disastrously when he is thrown into and apparently crushed in a garbage truck. Meanwhile, Mooch manages to return to Ben to tell him where his mammalian agents are, but Darwin escapes (with Hurley, who is convinced that Darwin is his brother, tagging along) before he can arrive to collect them.<br /> <br /> While Blaster and Juarez escape their new owners to return to Ben, he and his partner discover that the discredited intel has a destructive computer function that apparently hid the scheme. At this time, Darwin and Hurley make their own way to their superior. On route, Darwin sees a Saber coffeemaker and decides to investigate it, but his examination of the machine makes it come alive as a dangerous fighting robot that he and Hurley are barely able to defeat. Now with his suspicions vindicated, Darwin and Hurley transport the wreckage to Ben. However, upon arrival, Ben has lost all confidence in his team and confesses the shattering information that they are not special genetically enhanced animals as previously told, but ordinary ones Ben took in and trained for the team. However, Hurley lifts them from their despair by reminding the team of the astounding feats he has seen them do and the fact that they obviously made themselves extraordinary on their own.<br /> <br /> Emboldened but with little time to stop the scheme, Ben provides the field team with the means to infiltrate the Saber residence and plant a virus in the computer mainframe. Unfortunately, FBI agents are ordered to capture the animals dead or alive, forcing the team to elude them with an extended pursuit thanks to a high speed vehicle especially designed for them. After that is accomplished and the team infiltrates Saber's mainframe, the plan is put into motion, and the resulting battle separates the group, only leaving Darwin to take the mainframe down. At the same time, Leonard Saber is shocked to discover that his appliances have become killing machines, expecting them to simply be able to effectively communicate with each other, while FBI takes advantage of this obvious pretext to finally openly move against the industrialist. When Darwin reaches the mainframe, he finds out that Speckles, whose home and family had been destroyed by humans, is the mastermind of the plan, whose masterstroke is to cause a massive planetwide bombardment of space junk pulled from orbit to make the planet surface uninhabitable. Speckles promptly amalgamates the various appliances in the vicinity into a giant walking being, which, combined with a localized bombardment of orbital debris, soon overpowers the police forces gathered at the mansion. Darwin manages to persuade Speckles that his new family is with the rest of the team and Ben, who had taken them all in. Speckles consents, and tries to shut it down, but realizes that it has gone too far. However, Darwin uses the computer virus on his PDA to take it down.<br /> <br /> At the end of the film, the guinea pigs are personally commended by the FBI Director who also appoints them special agents of the FBI. Furthermore, G-Force is reinstated as a unit of the Bureau and expanded with Hurley, Bucky and the mice inducted as new recruits. Later, Greg is excited when Rowley comes up to him in school, but is disappointed when he learns Rowley only wants a game back. Greg refuses to return the game, causing them to get into a argument. Kids gather around them, wanting them to fight, but are quickly dispelled when the teenagers Greg and Rowley had angered on Halloween drive up, looking for revenge. The teenagers force Rowley to eat the Cheese. Patty begins to accuse Rowley, but Greg steps in and takes the blame. Greg and Rowley make up, and Angie approaches them to compliment Greg for his bravery. Aaron envies Ryan because Ryan is a successful writer, which Aaron wants to be but has yet to have his novel published. Aaron is resentful towards Ryan because Ryan would rather spend money on a first class ticket from New York to L.A. than help him pay for the funeral expenses.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Elaine (Zoe Saldana) and her fiancee Oscar (James Marsden) are on their way to pick up her brother Jeff before heading to the funeral. To ease Oscar's nerves, she gives him what she believes is Valium. Jeff later reveals to Elaine that it's not actually Valium, but a hallucinogenic drug he's concocted for his friend. Chaos ensues when Oscar hallucinates that the coffin is moving and he knocks it over which pushes the body out the coffin which freaks out the guests.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Aaron is approached by an unknown guest who happens to be a little person named Frank (Peter Dinklage), who reveals himself to be the secret gay lover of his deceased father. Frank shows Aaron photos as proof and threatens to reveal them to Aaron's mother unless he is paid $30,000. Aaron tells Ryan who suggest Aaron pay the money because Ryan claims he's buried in debt. While Aaron and Ryan meet with him to pay him, Frank starts to trash talk Aaron's ability as writer and Aaron refuses to pay Frank. Frank gets angry and tries to leave the room; Ryan attacks Frank and both Aaron and Ryan tie Frank up to prevent him from leaving. Norman comes in and sees what happened. He gives Frank what they also believe is Valium to try and calm him down and Jeff tells them it's not Valium.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> While Jeff and Norman, who are supposed to be watching Frank, get distracted by Uncle Russell, Frank jumps off the coffee table and hits his head. With Aaron, Ryan, Jeff, and Norman believing Frank is dead, they plan to put him in the coffin. While everyone is outside watching the naked Oscar on the roof threatening to jump because he saw Elaine unwillingly get kissed by Derek, Aaron and Ryan put Frank in the coffin.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Elaine calms Oscar down by revealing she is pregnant. With everyone back inside, they continue the eulogy. While Aaron awkwardly tries to do his speech, Frank starts banging on the coffin and suddenly emerges from it. The pictures fall out of his pocket and Cynthia sees the pictures and starts to attack Frank. The scene then changes to Spencer sneaking onto a boat, taking out a guard, then putting a time bomb on the bottom of a helicopter. Spencer then swims back and goes on the date with Jen.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After a night of drinking, Jen reveals that she's not the spontaneous person she's been pretending to be and in return Spencer bluntly tells her that he's a contract killer, albeit unhappy about being one. Unfortunately she's already passed out and hasn't heard. In spite of this, Spencer decides that Jen's the woman he's been looking for and decides to marry her. When Spencer tells his boss Holbrook (Martin Mull) his plan, the response is the obvious: "You don't just quit being a contract killer". Spencer is defiant and goes ahead with his plan.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Fast forward to three years later, they're settled into their new normal life. After Spencer surprises Jen with a remodeled office, she gives him a birthday surprise: tickets to Nice to celebrate his birthday and their three years. Because of the hitman connections to Nice, Spencer is less than enthusiastic. When her friends ask about his reaction, they take it as signs of that he might be getting bored and fill her head with doubts.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Meanwhile Spencer gets a postcard from his old boss and the ultimatum to take another job. While trying to refuse him long distance, Jen's father shows up to take Spencer to dinner, so Spencer hangs up the phone, prompting a suspicion in Mr. Kornfeldt. This is fueled further when Jen's dad see the postcard and quizzes him about the XOXX (hugs and kisses), being odd coming from a former boss.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Stopping home to change, Spencer finds that the dinner invite is just a detour to bring him to a surprise party. While Spencer navigates a ton of drunk friends, Jen's friends continue to fill her head with doubts over Spencer's lack of enthusiasm for the Nice trip. This is further irritated, when the following morning, despite her attempts to be physical with him, Spencer rushes Jen off on her business trip.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> A little while later, Jen comes back (without having gone on her trip) to find Spencer being tossed around their house by Henry (Rob Riggle), Spencer's friend and co-worker. Spencer screams for her to get his gun (of which she was unaware) and she shoots the attacker in the arm. While interrogating the attacker, he reveals that there is a $20 Million USD dollar bounty on Spencer's head. An unidentified sniper takes pot shots at them, and Spencer and Jen flee.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After escaping, they go to a hotel room where Spencer's old boss is staying, but find that someone has already killed him by two shots to the heart and one to the head. Jen demands that they go to her dad for help, but Spence disagrees. In the middle of their argument Jen vomits, and declares that she might be pregnant.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Heading back to his office for Jen to take a pregnancy test, Spencer is attacked by his secretary and realizes that there are others who know about the contract. Jen then reveals that she is pregnant and is leaving Spencer.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Left alone, Spencer is attacked by the UDE driver, who is killed by Olivia (Lisa Ann Walter), Henry's wife and another assassin vying for the contract. She then attacks Spencer and is killed by Jen, who came to rescue him. The two discuss their possible future and return to their neighborhood, which is holding its annual block party. When they first arrive they are attacked by two assassins. They escape and head to the block party. As they walk through the block party they receive many suspicious looks from neighbors. They enter their house to retrieve guns and their passports. Spencer is grabbing the guns when he is attacked by two assassins who he eventually kills.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Meanwhile, one assassin Kristen (Casey Wilson), one of Jen's best friends, holds Jen's mother as a hostage in a Mexican standoff with Jen. Jen's father arrives and kills the assassin. He then explains that he was the one who put out the bounty on Spencer. He knew of Spencer's previous work, and hired the neighbors and co-workers 3 years before in case Spencer started working for the his old boss again, who Jen's father says had "gone dirty." After seeing the postcard from Holbrook in Spencer's office, he came to the conclusion that Spencer had re-accepted his old job and "activated" the assassins. He reveals that he had been a contract killer as well, and that he was actually the target Spencer was supposed to kill in Nice three years earlier.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Wanting to prove that he really did get out of the business and had no desire to kill her father, Spencer drops his gun. Jen, now convinced, turns on her father and says, "So you're not really a pilot? I've been dodging bullets all day because of you and that's not good for the baby." Realizing that he will be a grandfather, Jen's father also puts down his gun and the family makes peace. The movie ends showing Spencer and Jen's father working on some wires near Spencer and Jen's baby's crib. Spencer and Jen then leave to let Jen's mom and dad babysit. They flee in a medical chopper, chased by Tuco in a dogfight that leaves B.A. with a fear of flying. The battle ends when they lure Tuco's chopper into American airspace, where it's destroyed by a U.S. F-22 Raptor as Hannibal planned.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> "Eight years and eighty successful missions later", the team is a highly-regarded elite combat unit stationed in Iraq. Hannibal is contacted by CIA Agent Lynch (Patrick Wilson), who reveals that Iraqi insurgents possess U.S. treasury plates being used to manufacture counterfeit currency. Lynch wants Hannibal and his team to steal the plates and over one billion dollars in counterfeit cash that is due to be moved out of Baghdad. DCIS Captain Charissa Sosa (Jessica Biel) arrives and warns her ex-lover Face, to stay away from the plates. Against the advice of his commanding officer, General Morrison (Gerald McRaney), Hannibal agrees to steal the plates in an unofficial "Black Ops" mission. The mission is successful, but when the team returns to base both the money and Morrison's vehicle are destroyed by Brock Pike (Brian Bloom) and his men from the private security firm Black Forest. Without Morrison, the only proof that they were authorized to act, the team is sentenced to ten years in prison.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Six months later, Hannibal is visited in prison by Lynch. Lynch reveals that Pike may be trying to sell the plates with the help of an Arab backer. Hannibal, who has been tracking Pike on his own, makes a deal with Lynch: clean records for his team in return for the plates. Lynch agrees and Hannibal escapes, then breaks out the rest of the team. Sosa is hot on their trail, and angry after being demoted to Lieutenant after the team ignored her warning. Believing the team is working with Pike, she tries to intercept them before they leave Germany in a military aircraft. The plane is destroyed by drone fighters, but the team escapes inside the body of a tank on parachutes.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> They track Pike and launch an offensive to reclaim the plates and kidnap Pike's backer. The team learns that the backer is actually General Morrison, who worked with Lynch and Pike to steal the plates, but then teamed up with Pike to double-cross Lynch and fake his death. When Lynch learns that the team has Morrison, he orders an air strike to eliminate them. The team barely escapes and Morrison is killed.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Face hatches a plan. Hannibal arranges to meet Sosa, knowing her phone lines are tapped by Lynch, on board a cargo ship at a downtown dock, saying he will hand over Morrison and the plates in exchange for his freedom. Face then calls Sosa on an untapped phone he previously gave her. Lynch reenlists Pike and sets a trap for Hannibal and company. This has been anticipated by Face, who uses diversions to divide Lynch's team and get Lynch directly involved. Pike fires a rocket at the ship, nearly destroying it, but B.A. reluctantly kills him. Lynch tracks down Hannibal and a hooded Morrison dummy, and shoots Morrison in the head before engaging Hannibal in a fistfight. The container they are in is uncovered revealing Sosa and Federal agents. Morrison is revealed to be Murdock in a melted-Kevlar helmet. Lynch is taken into custody, but the A-Team is arrested for escaping incarceration. Sosa is promoted back to Captain for retrieving the plates and apprehending the A-Team, but promises to do all she can to set them free before kissing Face as he is led into a prison van. In the van Face reveals Sosa gave him a key during their kiss, which they promptly use to escape. During a particularly brutal beating by Cheng and his friends, the kindly maintenance man of Dre's building, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), comes to Dre's aid, revealing himself as a kung fu master who adeptly dispatches Dre's tormentors.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After Han mends Dre's injuries using fire cupping, they go to Cheng's teacher, Master Li (Yu Rongguang), to attempt to make peace, but the brutal Li, who teaches his students to show no mercy to their enemies, challenges Dre to a fight with Cheng. When Han declines, Li threatens him, saying that they will not be allowed to leave his school unless either Dre or Han himself fights. Han acquiesces, but insists the fight take place at an upcoming tournament, and that Li's students leave Dre alone until the tournament. The amused Li agrees.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Han begins training Dre, but Dre is frustrated that Han merely has Dre spend hours taking off his jacket, hanging it up, dropping it, and then putting it back on again. After days of this, Dre refuses to continue, until Han explains to him that the repetitive arm movements in question were Han's method of teaching Dre defensive block and strike techniques, which Dre is now able to display instinctively when prompted by Han's mock attacks. Han emphasizes that the movements Dre is learning apply to life in general, and that serenity and maturity, not punches and power, are the true keys to mastering the martial arts. During one lesson in the Wudang Mountains, Dre notices a female kung fu practitioner (Michelle Yeoh, in an uncredited cameo[4]) copying the movements of a cobra before her, but Han informs him that it was the cobra that was imitating the woman, as in a mirror reflection. Dre wants Han to teach him this technique, which includes linking Han's hand and feet to Dre's via bamboo shafts while practicing their forms, but Dre's subsequent attempt to use this reflection technique on his mother is unsuccessful.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As Dre's friendship with Mei Ying continues, she agrees to attend Dre's tournament, as does Dre her upcoming recital. After sharing a kiss at an outdoor festival, Dre persuades Mei Ying to cut school for a day of fun, but when she is nearly late for her violin recital, which has been rescheduled for that day, Mei tells him that her parents have deemed him a bad influence, and forbid her from spending any more time with him.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> When Dre finds Han drunk and despondent, he learns that it is the anniversary of his wife and son's deaths, which occurred years ago when he lost control of his car while arguing with his wife. Dre reminds Han that one of his lessons was in perseverance, and that Han needs to heal from his loss, and tries to help him do so. Han then assists Dre in writing a note of apology to Mei Ying's father, who, impressed, allows Mei to attend the tournament.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At the tournament, the underconfident Dre is slow to achieve parity with his opponents, but soon begins to best them, and advances to the semifinals, as does Cheng, who violently finishes off his opponents. Dre eventually comes up against Master Li's students, in particular a classmate of Cheng who is instructed by Master Li to break Dre's leg. When his student insists that he can beat Dre, Master Li sternly tells him that he doesn't want him beaten, but broken. During the match, Li's student delivers a devastating kick to Dre's leg, along with a series of brutal follow-up punches. Although Li's student is disqualified for his illegal strikes, Dre is incapacitated, which means Cheng will win by default.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Despite Han's insistence that he has earned respect for his performance in the tournament, and that he needs to learn when to walk away from a fight, Dre convinces Han to use his fire cupping technique to mend his leg, in order to see the tournament to the end. Dre returns to the arena, where he confronts Cheng. Dre delivers impressive blows, but Cheng counters with a debilitating strike to Dre's already injured leg. Dre struggles to get up, and adopts the one-legged form he first learned from the woman on the mountain, attempting to use the reflection technique to manipulate Cheng's movements. Phil and Don meet at the dog park to discuss Phil's assignment - an ad campaign to win over Petco - where Marmaduke meets a beautiful dog named Jezebel (v. Fergie), whose boyfriend is Bosco (v. Kiefer Sutherland), a controlling and violent dog with two minions named Thunder and Lighting. Bosco intimidates Marmaduke, who does not want to fight.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Marmaduke then meets Mazie (v. Emma Stone), who develops a crush on Marmaduke. He also meets Giuseppe (v. They get together at night and crash a party thrown by Bosco for pedigrees only, only to be scared away by Bosco. Marmaduke then enters a dog surfing contest put together as a promotional stunt by Phil (to sway Petco) and beats Bosco, who is an established dog-surfing champion. They get in a dog fight, which appalls the Petco executives.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> He then takes Jezebel on Mazie's dream date, which the latter watches from afar. While the family is on Don's boat, Marmaduke throws a party, with most residents of the dog park coming, save Mazie, Guisseppe, and Raisin. Bosco crashes the party and discovers it was Carlos at the dog park. He then exposes Marmaduke, who loses his pedigree friends. He is left with no friends and a destroyed house. When Phil discovers the house in a wreck, he locks Marmaduke outside for the night. Marmaduke runs away, and leaves Mazie a toy that she gave him earlier in the movie. Mazie goes to Marmaduke's house, and Carlos tells her Marmaduke never returned. She then goes looking for him. In the morning the family discover him missing, and search for him too. Marmaduke in the meantime has met Chupadogra, a wise, elderly English Mastiff (v. Sam Elliott) who is feared throughout Orange County for presumably killing his owner. In reality, he ran away to lead the pack but they abandoned him. He has spent the time alone in the woods with nothing but a blanket and his old water bowl, which reads "Buster". Buster/Chupadogra tells Marmaduke to go home and return to his family, and then distracts a dog catcher. Marmaduke leaves, but gets lost. Mazie and the family find him at the same time, but Mazie falls into the sewers after the street below her collapses. Marmaduke jumps in after her and Phil tries to retrieve him, but the fire department tries instead. The fireman saves Mazie, but loses Marmaduke in the raging water. By this time Phil has been fired for missing the meeting for the last chance with Petco. Phil then goes to the dam that the sewers lead to, and finds Marmaduke in the raging waters. He jumps in after him, and begs Marmaduke to let go of the stick he's holding onto, and let the waters carry him to Phil. He reluctantly does, and is saved. Several kids got that on video, and put it on Youtube. Since it had almost seven-hundred thousand hits,he is re-hired. Phil then thinks about moving back to Kansas, but the entire family disagrees. He and Don are thinking of ideas for commercials, having gotten Petco. They ask each other about if the dogs could talk to each other, and even dance. It shows Marmaduke, Jezebel, Mazie, Guisseppe, Raisin, and Buster, among others, dancing and singing "What I like About You", which turns out to be the commercial. Halfway through their meal, they are approached by two men named Collins (Common) and Armstrong (Jimmi Simpson), who question them about a flash drive they believe Phil and Claire stole from mobster boss Joe Miletto (Ray Liotta). Phil and Claire try to explain that they are not the Tripplehorns, but the two men threaten them at gunpoint. Not seeing any other way out, Phil decides to tell them it's in a boathouse in Central Park.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At the boathouse, Claire pretends to search; while Collins' and Armstrong's backs are turned, Phil hits them with a paddle and escapes with Claire on a boat. At a police station, Phil and Claire talk with Detective Arroyo (Taraji P. Henson) but discover Collins and Armstrong are also detectives, presumably on Miletto's payroll. Realizing they can't trust the police, they decide to find the real "Tripplehorns". They go back to the restaurant and find their phone number.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Claire remembers one of her former clients, Holbrooke Grant (Mark Wahlberg), is a security expert and James Bond-like action hero. At his apartment, Grant, whom Claire flirts with, traces the signal to an apartment owned by Tom Felton. Collins and Armstrong arrive but Phil and Claire escape in one of Grant's cars, an Audi R8. In the car, they argue about their domestic issues.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> They arrive at Felton's apartment and break in. They question Felton, nicknamed "Taste" (James Franco), and his wife "Whippit" (Mila Kunis) about the flash drive and Joe Miletto. It turns out that they had gone to the restaurant but left when they spotted Collins. Realizing they are now in danger, the couple gives the flash drive to Phil and cowardly escape to an unknown destination. When Phil and Claire get back in the car, Armstrong and Collins start shooting at them. Phil and Claire crash into a cab, resulting in their car and the cab being attached at the bumpers. Phil and the cab driver (J. B. Smoove) decide to drive off to get away. Phil climbs into the cab so he can navigate while Claire navigates the other car. Phil checks the flash drive on the driver's Amazon Kindle and finds pictures of district attorney Frank Crenshaw (William Fichtner) with prostitutes. After evading Collins and Armstrong and multiple squad cars, they are eventually hit and separated by another car. The cab falls into the river; Phil and the driver escape, but without the flash drive.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In a subway, Claire determines that Felton obtained the flash drive to blackmail Crenshaw. They go back to Grant's apartment, and Grant is reluctant to help this time after becoming exhausted from their incompetence, but Phil begs him and he agrees. Phil and Claire go to the strip club that Crenshaw frequents, with Claire under the guise of a new prostitute and Phil her pimp. Claire changes outfits and the two go into the room where Crenshaw is. After doing a pole dance for him, they confront him and tell him they are the Tripplehorns. Collins and Armstrong come in and hold them at gunpoint and take them up to the roof with Crenshaw. Miletto arrives with henchmen and it is revealed that Crenshaw has been paid by Miletto to keep him out of jail. When Phil mentions the photos, a feud escalates between the mobsters and Crenshaw, Collins, and Armstrong. Phil then asks Claire to count to three and when she does, a helicopter appears and Arroyo and the police come onto the roof to arrest Miletto, Crenshaw, and everyone else. It is revealed that Phil was wearing a wire courtesy of Grant, who informed Arroyo of the situation.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After being declared as heroes to the local public, Phil and Claire enjoy breakfast at a local city diner afterward, where Phil admits that he would marry Claire and have their kids all over again if given the chance. After a crazy night of drinking in a hot tub, the guys wake up in the year 1986. The group can see each other as their proper age, but when they look at their reflections and to everyone else they appear as they did in 1986. However, Jacob, who has not even been born yet, is still there in his normal 2010 state.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> They arrive during "Winterfest '86," the weekend when Poison played to a huge crowd at the then-thriving Kodiak Resort. It is also a time that was particularly hard on the group: Adam broke up with his first girlfriend, his sister, Kelly, conceived Jacob with his unknown father; Lou was beaten up by Blaine, the ski patrol bully; Nick played a less than mediocre performance with his band at an open mic contest; and Phil, the resort's bellhop, lost his arm in an unexplained tragic accident.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The quartet are at first concerned about the butterfly effect, in that if they change even the slightest thing in this time it could have drastic consequences in the future. They set out to do exactly what they did 20 years ago, but then decide that this may be a chance to change their destinies and get the futures they always wanted. However, when Jacob begins to flicker in and out, he warns the guys that this weekend might have something to do with his birth and that if they mess up he may not ever be conceived.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Adam's girlfriend, Jennie, dumps him before he can dump her, but he ends up spending the night with a music journalist, April; Lou is beaten up by Blaine but this time finds the courage to fight back with Adam and Nick giving him the motivation to stand up for himself; and Nick rocks the crowd with his band. Lou also seduces Kelly and conceives Jacob, thus solving the identity of Jacob's father.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Back at the resort, as the guys are set to go back to 2010, Lou decides to remain in 1986, admitting to Adam that he was trying to kill himself with the carbon monoxide poisoning, and that if he goes back it will happen all over again. He also says he wants to use his knowledge of future history to make investments and also do right by Kelly and Jacob.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Upon arriving back in 2010, Adam, Nick, and Jacob discover that Lou, Kelly, and Jacob are a happy family enjoying a lavish lifestyle, since Lou has shamelessly taken advantage of his knowledge of the future to become a successful rock star and Internet entrepreneur. Adam discovers that he eventually married April, and Nick is a successful music producer married to a loyal Courtney. Finally, Phil still has his arm, because after it was severed that fateful evening in 1986, the angry ski patrol team chasing Adam, Nick, Lou, and Jacob stumbled across Phil and managed to rush him and his arm to a hospital in time. He decides to take Woody with him and packs the other toys in a garbage bag, intending to store them in the attic, but Andy's mom mistakenly puts the bag on the curb where they are almost picked up by a garbage truck driven by Sid. Believing that Andy no longer wants them, the toys sneak into a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare. As the only toy who saw what really happened, Woody tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but the other toys refuse to believe him and they are all driven to Sunnyside. The toys receive a warm welcome from the toys at Sunnyside, led by Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear (a.k.a. Lotso) who assigns them to the "Caterpillar Room." Other Sunnyside toys include a Ken doll and a baby doll named Big Baby. Woody tries to convince the others to return to Andy, but they decide they are happier at Sunnyside, so he leaves without them. The others soon discover that Lotso had placed them in a room of toddlers, whose young and rambunctious nature causes them to abuse and torture the innocent toys. Buzz goes to ask Lotso to transfer them to the older children (in the Butterfly Room), but is instead caught by some of the Sunnyside toys and reset to his original, deluded space ranger self.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As he escapes Sunnyside, Woody is found by a girl named Bonnie and takes him home, where he meets Bonnie's other toys: Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, Peas-in-a-Pod, Totoro and Chuckles the Clown. Woody learns from Chuckles that Sunnyside is a toy prison run with an iron fist by Lotso, who snapped after his owner lost and replaced him with another Lotso, running away from home and taking over Sunnyside with Big Baby as his chief enforcer. Lotso forces other toys to stay in the Caterpillar Room, ensuring that he and his cohorts never have to deal with the younger children. At the daycare, the others discover that Andy is looking for them when Mrs. Potato Head sees him through her missing eye, which was lost in Andy's room. Realizing their error, the toys try to leave but are imprisoned by Lotso and his henchmen, including the reset Buzz.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Woody returns to Sunnyside during the day to help his friends break out. After He gets there, he meets a chatter telephone who informs him about the security system at night that Lotso set up, including trucks patrolling and a monkey watching through cameras and also tells Woody to get rid of the monkey to make it easier to escape They carefully plot an escape via the garbage chute, though accidentally reset Buzz to his Spanish mode in the process. The toys use a garbage chute to reach a dumpster outside the daycare, but Lotso and his henchmen catch them. Woody, knowing the nature of Lotso's past, convinces the henchmen of Lotso's treachery, so Big Baby throws Lotso in the dumpster. However, Lotso, as an act of revenge for ruining everything, pulls Woody into the dumpster just before a garbage truck arrives, forcing the others to rescue him, with Buzz returning to normal in the process.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The truck takes the toys to a dump where they are forced onto a conveyor belt for disposal. Woody helps Lotso and the others escape a shredder, and Lotso pretends to try and push the emergency stop button and save them from the incinerator, but leaves them behind to their certain deaths. The toys try desperately to escape the incinerator, but eventually they realize there is nothing they can do, and they all hold hands ready to face their death together. Then at the last moment, they are rescued by a giant claw crane operated by the squeeze toy aliens and the aliens say their famous line "The Claw!". The other toys want to teach Lotso a lesson, but Woody convinces them to forget about him. Instead, Lotso is found by a garbage man and tied to the front of his garbage truck, much to Lotso's dismay.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The toys return to Andy's house, and while Woody prepares to go to college with Andy, the other toys prepare to be stored in a box for the attic. Woody realizes that although he cannot always be there for Andy, he must not abandon his fellow toys by choosing to stay with his owner over them. Woody leaves a note to Andy suggesting he donate his toys to Bonnie, for they deserve better than the attic. Andy happily gives Bonnie all the toys, introducing each one individually, until realizing that Woody had ended up in the same box as well. Hesitant at first, Andy gives Woody to Bonnie, explaining that Woody is an extra special toy and she needs to take especially good care of him. Together they play with his toys one last time before he leaves for college. Having received the final playtime they had always wanted, Woody and his friends say goodbye and begin their lives anew with Bonnie's toys, while Sunnyside is reformed under Ken's and Barbie's leadership. The toys rotate between the younger "Caterpillars" and older "Butterflies," ensuring that all the toys equally share the responsibility of entertaining the younger children. They keep in touch with Bonnie's toys by slipping letters into her backpack. He tries to get back together with his self-centered ex-girlfriend, Marnie (Lindsay Sloane). Marnie ended her relationship with Kirk two years ago and is highly dismissive of his continued romantic interests. However, she has remained close with Kirk's parents (Debra Jo Rupp and Adam LeFevre) and overbearing brother Dylan (Kyle Bornheimer), continues to participate in family activities along with her new boyfriend Ron, and even lives with Kirk's parents. He has three close male friends who also work at the airport: Stainer (T. J. Miller), Devon (Nate Torrence), and Jack (Mike Vogel).<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Then at work one morning, a beautiful woman, Molly McCleish (Alice Eve), arrives at the passenger terminal for a flight to New York. While proceeding through security, her striking looks attract unwanted attention and harassment from several male employees. Kirk, too shy to ever try flirting with a woman like Molly, is the only employee to treat her courteously. She and Kirk exchange a few innocuous words, and she then proceeds to her flight, accidentally leaving her phone in the airport security area. Upon realizing she has misplaced it, Molly calls her phone and Kirk, back at the security checkpoint, answers. The two arrange for a time to meet the following evening so that he may return the phone to her.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As planned, the following night, Kirk arrives at the Andy Warhol Museum on Pittsburgh's North Shore where Molly, a professional event planner, is running a party. This meeting, much to Kirk's surprise, leads to dates including a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game at the Mellon Arena, nights out at the bar scene in the city's Bloomfield neighborhood, and bowling on the South Side. Kirk manages to keep Molly interested, which comes as a surprise to himself, his friends, and everyone around them; Stainer, ranking-obsessed, told him that on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 meaning the most attractive and successful, he's a 5, and Molly a 10, and that a relationship does not work if the difference is more than 2. Molly's friend and business partner Katy (Krysten Ritter) is also surprised: she phoned Molly while on a date with Kirk to allow her an opportunity to make up an excuse to leave, but that was not needed.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In Molly's parents's house, while the two are touching each other, Kirk ejaculates in his pants, just before her parents arrive. He is so embarrassed that he acts weirdly and quickly leaves to avoid Molly and her parents noticing what happened. This turns out to be webbed toes, which Kirk considers so minor that he decides that she is too perfect for him, and he breaks off the relationship. Kirk and Marnie resume their relationship.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In the end, Kirk's friends and Katy realize their mistake in telling Kirk and Molly it wouldn't work out; the friends convince Kirk that he is "a 10" too. After showing courage in the market place, he is adopted by the king. He has "no royal blood and no eye for the throne." Fifteen years later, the brothers lead the Persia army in an attack on the sacred city of Alamut, under the assumption that the city's people are selling weapons to their enemies, as shown by Nizam (Ben Kingsley), the King's brother and adviser. As Garsiv leads the initial assault, Dastan decides to lead a surprise attack with his friend Bis (Reece Ritchie) against the orders of his brother. He manages to open the eastern gate of Alamut and prevents further casualties.[4] During the fight in the city, Dastan defeats one of Princess Tamina's (Gemma Arterton) guards who was in the possession of the mythical Dagger of Time. The dagger gives its owner the ability to go back in time for a short period so that the user can try to correct any mistake or redo any moment. Alamut falls to the Persians, Tamina is captured and is offered as a wife for Tus, which would make the city of Alamut a part of the Persian Empire.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Persians celebrate their victory, but during the celebration Prince Dastan is fooled into presenting a poisoned gown — seemingly given to him by Tus — to King Sharaman (Ronald Pickup), which fatally burns the king. Prince Dastan is held as the perpetrator of his father's murder. He escapes the castle with Princess Tamina while Bis, his best friend, is killed trying to save them. Together, they embark on a journey — the Prince wants to prove his innocence, while Tamina wants to safeguard the Dagger of Time. On the first night, Tamina attempts to kill the prince and recover the dagger, but Dastan accidentally activates the dagger and learns about its ability to rewind time for one minute and in doing so, prevents Tamina from attacking. Dastan believes that Tus knew about the dagger and framed Dastan for their father's murder in an attempt to seize the throne and the dagger, thus becoming the most powerful ruler of Persia.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> During their journey, the duo meets a group of merchant-bandits, in the valley of slaves, including entrepreneur and ostrich racing-organizer Sheik Amar (Alfred Molina) with his friend Seso (Steve Toussaint) who hails from the Ngbaka, masters of the throwing knives. Dastan offers Tamina up as a slave in return for their hospitality. However, the bandits try to take the Dagger of Time and take Dastan to the newly crowned Tus because of the reward for his capture; they fail in the process, while the two escape.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dastan and Tamina return to Persia for King Sharaman's funeral. Dastan tries to convince his uncle Nizam that he was not the cause of his father's death, only to discover the dagger was taken by Tamina. Instead, he notices the burns on Nizam's hands, which indicate he was the one who set up the murder of the King. Furthermore, Nizam has set up an ambush for Dastan along the Persian streets, and after a conflict with his brother Garsiv, Dastan escapes.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dastan catches up with Tamina and explains that the villainous brother of the King, Nizam[5] was behind it all. The attack of Alamut was based on false allegations provided by Nizam and promoted with a motive to attain the Dagger of Time and use it with the massive Sandglass, which is hidden under the city of Alamut. This way, Nizam would go back in time before he had saved Sharaman from being attacked by a lion and undo the act, hence ensure that he becomes the King of Persia. However, Tamina reveals that the Sandglass is the vessel holding the Sands of Time, which the Gods conjured to punish humanity for its sins. A pure hearted girl, offering her life, convinced them to seal the sands; should the Dagger of Time be used to pierce the Sandglass, the sands would be released and destroy the entire world. The holder of the dagger may also turn back time as far as they please. The pair then put aside their differences and agree to work together to protect the dagger.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Meanwhile, back in Persia, Nizam, aware that Dastan knows he was responsible, tries to convince the newly-crowned King Tus and Garsiv that Dastan is trying to overthrow them and must be killed without a trial to avoid a rebellion. When this fails, Nizam hires the Hashshashins, a group of highly-skilled warriors that Nizam kept hidden for his own ends after Sharaman had the sect disbanded.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dastan and Tamina are again captured by Sheik Amar, Seso, and their group because of the chaos they caused back at the valley. Sheik intends to claim the reward for turning them in to renew his business. But that night, when everyone is asleep, the Hashshashin leader( Gísli Örn Garðarsson ) attacks the group in an oasis by controlling a number of vipers. Many of the group die, but Dastan uses the dagger to rewind time, and, foreseeing the attack, manages to kill all the snakes single-handedly, saving Seso in the process. The Hashshashin leader then leaves in a sand dervish.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The next day, the pair, now accompanied by Sheik and Seso, travel to the secret sanctuary in the mountains near India, where it's possible to seal the dagger by returning it to the stone where it came from. In order to do so, Tamina would have to sacrifice herself, but it fails as they run into Garsiv's men. Dastan, however, manages to persuade his brother that he is innocent, only for Garsiv to be killed by a flurry of spike-knives thrown by a Hashshashin. The Hashshashin attack, killing many of the group, while their leader manages to snatch the Dagger of Time from Tamina (who was knocked unconcious in the battle) by using a trained snake. Eventually, Dastan is saved from the last Hashshashin by Garsiv, who then succumbs to his injuries.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Tamina and Dastan, as well as Sheik Amar and Seso, return to Alamut to reveal the truth about Nizam and the dagger to Tus. First, they must get the dagger, which is kept in the sacred temple, guarded by the Hashshashin who killed Garsiv. Seso, the master of throwing knives, fights the spike-wielding Hashshashin to obtain the dagger. He manages to kill the Hashshashin after a well aimed throw, yet is fatally wounded in the process. Seso manages to throw the Dagger out of the window to Sheik and Dastan before dying. Sheik Amar then distracts the guards by serving as a decoy while Dastan shows the truth about the Dagger to his brother Tus by killing himself, only to have Tus rewind time with the dagger. Afterward, Tus is killed by Nizam, and Dastan is incapacitated by another Hashshashin. The Dagger is once again in Nizam's hands, but Dastan manages to defeat the Hashshashin with Tamina's help. She realises that the Hashshashin had been a spy inside the city of Alamut and must have been the one who told Nizam about the Dagger.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nizam goes to the Sandglass caves beneath Alamut, as Dastan and Tamina race to stop him. Tamina opens a secret gate leading to the chamber, allowing them to take a short cut to the Sandglass. En route, they encounter the leader of the Hashshashins; however, after a close fight, Dastan gets the upper hand and stabs the Hashshashin before throwing him into the chasm. Dastan and Tamina then kiss. They then manage to reach Nizam as he pierces the Sandglass with the Dagger. During the final confrontation, Nizam knocks Tamina over the edge of the chasm and Dastan desperately catches her hand. Knowing he cannot stop Nizam and save her, Tamina professes her love for Dastan and lets go, sacrificing herself to stop Nizam. Dastan fights Nizam as they both hold their hands on the Dagger. Dastan then uses the Dagger's button to open the Sands of Time container and use its power against Nizam. The Sandglass slowly cracks and the sandstorm is shown destroying Alamut. Dastan is then able to use the Dagger and turn back the time as the Sandglass breaks, ending up at the point when he first held the Dagger during the siege of Alamut.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dastan uses his knowledge to reveal Nizam's evil plan to his brothers, gaining their acceptance by revealing what Tus told him about the meeting with their father prior to the attack. Exposed, Nizam attempts to kill Dastan but ends up dying by Tus' blade. After apologizing for the ransacking of her city, Tus suggests that perhaps Tamina should become Dastan's wife as a sign of good will. The Prince returns the Dagger of Time to her as a gift, as she looks at him surprised. Lawrence, a renowned Shakespearean actor, is touring London and races to the family's estate in Blackmoor. He has been estranged from his family for many years, since his father, Sir John Talbot sent him to an insane asylum after witnessing his mother's mysterious death. When Lawrence arrives, Talbot Hall is in disrepair. John tells him that Ben's mauled body had been found the day before.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Lawrence goes into town to see the body, which is kept at the local slaughterhouse. The butcher gives Ben's personal effects to Lawrence. Later, in the local tavern, Lawrence overhears the locals debate about who was responsible. Many blame a band of gypsies who are camped outside of town. Another claims that several decades earlier a similar murder had happened and that his father suspected a werewolf. Among Ben's belongings was a medallion that had been purchased from the gypsies.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After Gwen leaves for London, Lawrence goes to the gypsy camp on the night of a full moon. Maleva tells him that something evil had befallen his brother. The local townspeople descend on the camp to force them to turn over a dancing bear that might have been the killer. But the creature descends on the camp, slaughtering many people. Lawrence sees a young boy run into the woods. Intending to rescue him, Lawrence follows but is attacked by the creature, who bites him on the shoulder before being chased off by the armed townspeople. Maleva sutures his wounds. Her daughter says Lawrence should be killed, but Maleva refuses, saying he is still a man. Only a loved one can kill him.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Gwen returns to Talbot Hall to nurse Lawrence back to health. He has several fearful dreams but after a few weeks appears to have completely healed. John's faithful manservant, Singh shows Lawrence the silver bullets he has and implies that something monstrous is on the loose in Blackmoor. Inspector Aberline arrives from London to investigate the recent murders. He suspects Lawrence because of his past mental issues and masterful portrayals of mentally ill protagonists like Hamlet and Macbeth. Worried about what might happen, Lawrence sends Gwen away again. He then follows John to Solana Talbot's crypt. He finds his father in the catacombs beneath the crypt, in a shrine into his dead mother -- a shrine that includes a chair specially fitted with restraints. John tells Lawrence that he has been dead for years, then locks himself in the room alone. As Lawrence tries to leave, he turns into the Wolfman. Rampaging through the woods, he kills several townspeople who had created a trap in hopes of catching the monster. The next day, John leads Aberline and the local police to where a dazed, bloody human Lawrence is hiding.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Lawrence is taken to the same asylum in London where he was incarcerated as a child. Dr. Hoenneger subjects him to ice-water and electrotherapy treatments. John visits Lawrence to explain the curse hanging over the family. Many years before, John had been hunting in India. Intrigued by reports of an unusual predator living in a remote cave, John traveled to a remote area. In the cave, he was bitten by a feral boy and infected with lycanthropy. Lawrence realizes that he had seen his father as a werewolf kill their mother. John had relied on Singh to imprison him during full moons. John escaped the month before and killed Ben and attacked the gypsy camp. Now invigorated by the power of being a werewolf, John has no intention of restraining his power anymore. He leaves Lawrence in the asylum.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dr. Hoenneger takes Lawrence to an observation room to present him to his colleagues as an interesting test case. As the full moon streams through the window, Lawrence transforms into the Wolf Man in front of the doctors. He kills Dr. Hoenneger and escapes into the night. Aberline, who had been attending the demonstration, pursues him, shooting at him as he races along the rooftops. The Wolfman kills people in a trolley before disappearing into the night. The next day a human Lawrence visits Gwen at her antique shop. They realize they have fallen in love. Aberline arrives and searches the shop. But Lawrence has already escaped and begun the long walk back to Blackmoor.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Gwen studies lycanthropy and tracks down Maleva to ask her help. Maleva confirms that Lawrence cannot be cured and asks God to help Gwen to do what she must. Aberline tracks Lawrence to Blackmoor, this time armed with silver bullets. Gwen makes her way there as well.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Lawrence arrives at Talbot Hall and finds Singh's mauled body hanging in the foyer. He loads the gun with Singh's silver bullets and tracks John through the house. When he finds John he is unable to shoot, John reveals that he remove the powder shells from the silver bullets and John beats Lawrence. When the full moon rises, they both transform into werewolves and fight setting the mansion on fire in the process. In their struggle, John seems to have the upper hand until the Wolfman kicks John into the fire, burning him alive, then decapitates him. Gwen arrives hoping to save Lawrence. When the Wolfman attacks her, Aberline bursts in and shoots at him but Gwen interrupts. As Gwen flees with Aberline's revolver, the Wolfman bites Aberline but chases Gwen rather than finish him off.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Wolfman traps Gwen above a waterfall. She lays down the gun and pleads with Lawrence still inside the beast. Lawrence's consciousness faintly returns and the Wolfman hesitates. When he is distracted by the sounds of a mob coming to kill him, Gwen retrieves the revolver and shoots him with a silver bullet. As he lays dying, Lawrence reverts to human form and thanks Gwen for doing what needed to be done. After his first attempt to fight crime Dave is beaten, stabbed, and hit by a car. He convinces paramedics to say nothing of his costume, and spends several weeks in the hospital. Upon returning to school, Dave finds his longtime crush, Katie (Lyndsy Fonseca), is surprisingly interested in him, but only because she thinks he is gay. Dave goes along with this in an effort to spend time with her.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Undeterred by his earlier setback, Dave defends a man from three attackers. A bystander records the event, as well as Dave calling himself "Kick-Ass". The video becomes a YouTube phenomenon, and Dave sets up a MySpace account so people can contact Kick-Ass.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Katie admits to Dave that she is being harassed by a drug dealer, so he convinces her to ask Kick-Ass for help. Kick-Ass tracks down the drug dealer to deliver a warning, but is attacked. He is then rescued by child costumed vigilante Hit-Girl (Chloë Moretz), who kills his attackers and then leaves with her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage). They later track down Kick-Ass, informing him that they can work together, and they will keep in contact.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Big Daddy is then revealed to be Damon Macready, a former cop who was framed by local crime syndicate leader Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong). While Damon was in prison, his wife dies giving birth to Mindy. After his release, Damon trains Mindy to fight crime as Hit-Girl.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Believing Kick-Ass to be responsible for several deaths and theft of drug money within his organization, D'Amico orders his men to find and eliminate him. After D'Amico kills an imposter dressed as Kick-Ass, his son, Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), suggests a different approach. Chris will pose as a superhero named Red Mist to trick Kick-Ass into trusting him, and lead him into a trap. Red Mist meets Kick-Ass, bringing him to D'Amico's warehouse to "ambush" his men. Instead, they find the building on fire with everyone inside dead. Red Mist retrieves surveillance footage which shows that Big Daddy is responsible.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Realizing the seriousness of his situation, Dave wants to quit being Kick-Ass. He tells Katie the truth, and she forgives him and becomes his girlfriend. Sometime later, Dave finds urgent messages from Red Mist, requesting they meet, and to find Hit Girl and Big Daddy. Kick-Ass leads Red Mist to one of the Macready's safe houses, with D'Amico's men following. Red Mist shoots Hit-Girl, knocking her out a window. Big Daddy and Kick-Ass are captured and taken to a warehouse to be tortured in a live Internet broadcast. Kick-Ass and Big Daddy are severely beaten, and Big Daddy is set on fire, when Hit Girl, who survived the gunshot by wearing a bulletproof vest, arrives and kills the gangsters. Big Daddy is badly burned and dies from his injuries after having a tender moment with his daughter. Kick-Ass tries to convince Hit-Girl to quit, but she plans to finish what her father had started, and Kick-Ass reluctantly agrees to help.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Posing as a schoolgirl, Mindy enters D'Amico's headquarters and nearly kills all the henchmen in the penthouse, but runs out of ammunition and is cornered. Just as one of D'Amico's thugs is about to shoot her with a bazooka, Kick-Ass, armed with a jet pack fitted with Gatling guns that Big Daddy had purchased prior to his death, kills the remaining men. He then takes on Red Mist and they knock each other out. Hit-Girl fights D'Amico, but she is quickly overwhelmed. As D'Amico is about to shoot Hit-Girl, Kick-Ass fires the bazooka, blasting D'Amico out of the window where he explodes in mid-air. Red Mist comes around to find Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl escaping with the jet pack.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass retire from crime fighting to live a more normal life. Mindy, now in the custody of Damon's ex-partner Sergeant Marcus Williams, enrolls at Dave's school. Dave explains a new wave of superheroes have been inspired by his exploits. In the final shot we see Red Mist donning a new mask and, breaking the fourth wall, repeats to the audience a line from the 1989 Batman film: "A world of superheroes, eh?
