Wednesday’s mid-season premiere will feature 2 episodes:

“2-D Blacktop” in which the Professor joins a gang and takes street racing to a whole new dimension.

“Fry and Leela’s Big Fling” in which the couple take a romantic trip to what turns out to be an alien zoo.

Expect more relationship themed episodes leading up to the wedding of Fry and Leela in the series finale on September 4th.

It won’t be the first time Futurama has been canceled and it might not be the last.

Employer Arriva found themselves in hairy situation due to discrimination laws.

This will be the first airing of the English dub by Aniplex but the entire series is already available with English subtitles on streaming websites: Hulu and Crunchyroll.

Hideki Goto, president of Aniplex, said in a statement that his company is set to “reach out to the new fans that have not been able to watch the series yet.”
