The Cleveland Show will force you laugh about rape, no matter how much you resist. In “Y Tu Junior Tambien” Cleveland helps his nerdy son get a girlfriend by telling him to pretend he’s a Jedi, who won’t take no for an answer.

“FALLING IS THE NEW CONE-ING” claims a new Youtube video, featuring kids intentionally falling down. There is no comedic timing whatsoever. They spontaneously fall into things like they’re having a seizure. Half the bystanders are either oblivious or indifferent, which will only increase with the popularity of this meme. What will be funny is when one of these jackasses accidentally hurts himself and no one helps.

The Fringe mid-season finale had the show’s lowest ratings yet, dipping below 3 million viewers. And with Supernatural and Grimm both airing new episodes tomorrow, the mid-season premiere could be even lower.

Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly admits the show isn’t profitable. “The hesitation in my voice is that it’s an expensive show. We lose a lot of money on the show,” said Reilly. “But with that rating on that night it’s almost impossible for us to make money on it. We’re not in the business of losing money. We need to figure out if there’s a [deal with studio Warner Bros. that] will make sense or will this be it.”

Reilly says he’s not doing a “soft cancel” and doesn’t want to start a letter-writing campaign, which rarely works anyway. Once Fringe is canceled you can’t just wish yourself to a parallel dimension where it was never canceled. If you want to make sure Fringe has a proper ending there’s lots of things you can do now, not least of which is actually watching. Even if you’re not a Nielsen household, buzz starts with you!

It’s all about Benjamins (or Juniors), buy Fringe DVDs or download episodes (legally). Even watching for free on Hulu generates ad revenue. Heck, go to http://www.fox.com/fringe/ and click an ad, just don’t do nothing then complain when it ends with a cliffhanger.

The Doctor’s Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey machine just got more wuvable.

This 9″ plush is bursting at the seams (i.e.; bigger on the inside). The overstuffed TARDIS lights up and goes “Vworp vworp vworp” when squeezed. There’s even a Dalek plush, although it’s not a fan of hugs. It shouts: “EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!” and “You are an enemy of the Dalek. You must be destroyed.”

Don’t miss out on these officially licensed Doctor Who collectibles. When they first went on sale in December, they sold out in no time. Not surprisingly the TARDIS vanished first.

Larry King returns to reluctantly moderate the “Yahoo! News Funny or Die GOP Presidential Online Internet Cyber Debate.” It’s set up to look like Hollywood Squares and ends with the Reagan speed round, in which candidates see who can say Ronald Reagan’s name the most. The winner is Jon Huntsman but just like in real life no cares about him.

The real reason the candidates are there is for “an opportunity to blatantly, shameless promote their books.” Mitt Romney’s book has blank pages so you can write whatever you want him to say. Ron Paul’s book is on how to keep children out of you abandoned amusement park by dressing up as ghost. And Rick Perry promotes a Hardy Boys book, it’s got train robbers!

The Debate is followed by a sexy rebuttal from Obama, who reveals his “dirty little secret.” He’s actually a conservative, just look at his record: Wall Street bailout, extending Bush Tax cuts, and he followed the Bush timeline for pulling out of Iraq… because when Obama says he’s gonna pull out, you can trust him.

Executive Producer Stephen D’Angelo says there are big updates in store. “The game goes to warp speed in February,” said D’Angelo. “All told, it’s my goal to have something new in the game nearly every week starting with the second anniversary event and running through the end of April.”

When Lee Standish (Ben Koldyke) and Angel Ortiz (Amaury Nolasco) are laid off in the “man-cession” they decide to dress for success. To get hired as pharmaceuticals sales reps that means cross-dressing to play nurse with doctor clients, who are apparently all male.

Hilarity ensues.

These Bosom Buddies have far less chemistry than their 80s counterparts. In part because Lee is married man who has little in common with his friend. While Lee puts himself in his wife’s shoes both literally and figuratively, Angel seems to have been added purely to hit on his attractive co-workers.

The jokes feel as forced as a football player in a dress, literally. Lee mistakenly leaves football on his resume, which he explains away as lingerie football. Of course, the gullible manager buys it because Work It makes no attempt whatsoever to encourage suspension of disbelief. It’s all about the innate absurdity of men pretending to be women, and GLAAD isn’t happy about that.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation placed a full-page ad in media industry publication Daily Variety warning that “By encouraging the audience to laugh at the characters’ attempts at womanhood, the show gives license to similar treatment of transgender women.”

Despite the controversy and little competition from other networks, which aired repeats, the Work It premiere had lower ratings than Man Up!, the cancelled show it replaced. Hoping to avoid the same fate, Amaury Nolasc addressed his Twitter followers. “Trust me, when I say it gets even better. I promise,” he tweeted.

Unfortunately, the Savage Dragon is out of town so it’s up to his son, who uses his wikipedic knowledge to lure the monster away from the city with Whitney Houston music. Once safely offshore, the towering terrorist is fittingly blown up planes.

All Alex wants for Christmas is for his parents to stop fighting. He asks them for a robot hoping that it will bring his family together instead it tears them apart, literally.

This isn’t your typical killer robot story. It gets you to sympathize with the machine but not by humanizing it, rather by dehumanizing the human.

At first Blinky acts as a surrogate parent, but the boy quickly grows bored with it. Alex quits in the middle of a game of hide and seek. When the robot finds him, he orders it stand out in the rain and count down from one million. Alex tries to elicit a response by barking out conflicting commands and berating the robot, but it continually responds “no problem.”

Actor Max Records (Where the Wild Things Are) does such a good job of playing the spoiled brat that you find yourself constantly hoping this will be the moment that Blinky inevitably snaps. Of course, it never snaps because it’s not alive. The robot just obediently counts down to the last command it received, before it calls out “Ready or not, here I come.”
