I am asking all of you to become members of the poker community and tell me what you think. I will be running exclusive freeroll tournaments & exclusive buyin tournaments. Of course the KPT will be posted here and will be posted on the poker community as well.

The tournaments I would like you all to represent the poker community in are located in the poker community forum. (Click Here) I don’t care how you do in the tournament. As long as you signed up to represent poker commercials and you had fun playing poker. I know, I know, Its always better to win. I wish you good luck and yes I will see you there at the tables. Since its not my event, I will be playing in the tournament trying to win first place and make people notice poker commercials.

Its going to be hard trying to win that event though. I am not that good of a poker. I don’t play that often since I work as long as I am online. My girlfriend has raked in more playing time than I have. I think she starting to become better than me. (Hope that’s not true) I would hate to lose to her.

I fell in love with Texas hold’em while watching the WSOP in 2003 when Chris Moneymaker won that year. I thought it was great that a complete nobody won a seat and took down the whole tournament. The thought of me doing that some day seems only like a dream. By the time I even make it that far I would have made my name in the poker world some other way like my poker community site. I have some long struggles ahead with that site but I am ready for it.

I fell in love with badugi from playing in a freeroll tournament. I was playing at a poker room in their daily freeroll tournaments and entered a tournament not realizing it was a badugi tournament. After it started and seen it was badugi I did what any Texas hold’em poker player would do facing a new game. BLUFF! I bluffed for about 20 mins before I did a quick google search on the rules of badugi. I was the chip leader at my table so I had no problem until I realize what I was doing wrong. After I learned the rules and tried to bluff one last time before playing for real. I lost almost my whole chip stack. Then the next hand big blind on me, I am all in since my chip stack was so low. I lost the tournament but fell in love with a new poker game called badugi.

Knowing how I fell in love with the 2 poker games, I wondered how other fell in love with the poker game they play. Please voice how you fell in love with the poker game you play by posting below. I would love to read how it came to be.

It took me around 8 months to find the game that will make me a profit. First hour I made $4 profit. I know not a lot but it’s a start from my losing. I stopped playing to handle some things with one of my websites. Came back to the tables only to lose $5 within an hour. I took myself out of the grove. I should have kept going while I was hot. No big deal I know how to handle myself at the tables now. Maybe I should do an online poker school to better my skills though.

Today I am going to sit down with a clear mind and something to drink. I will only focus on playing poker and nothing else. I will write how it went at the poker community site. By the way I am still looking for poker players to represent the site in tournaments.

How To Pick Your Poker Game?

This is a lot more simple than most people think. Even I thought it was a great idea to play in big tournaments since that’s the way I made money playing poker before I made a deposit. Well that was the big mistake right there. No need for a beginner to play in tournaments and sit-n-go’s. First we have to get use to playing for hours on end at the cash games.

If you like me you like going all in when you think you got the nuts. Well I had to make sure I couldn’t do that. So I looked for limit Texas holdem but couldn’t find it at full tilt micro cash game tables. So I picked the next best thing, pot limit Texas holdem. Hop in the $0.01/$0.02 6 player max tables with the maximum buyin at the table of $2. I play very tight at these tables and be aggressive when the time is right.

Every so often there comes a donkey sit down at your table. Wait until you have the nuts and let him or her be the aggressive one. Check on the river and let him/her place they bet. Raise with a pot bet. The donkey will call of course and you take down the pot.

Doing this for about 20 – 30 minutes people start to realize how I play and stop betting on the river. This is when I know its time to change tables. I move to another table find the donkey at the table and wait for my move all over again.

I plan on playing poker at this level for about 2 or 3 hours today and see how things turn out. If it turns out good, I will start checking my emails in the morning, write my blog posts for all 4 blogs and then play poker for hours until I get hungry, bored, or really want to work on my websites.

So find your game and make a profit out of it. See you at the tables

The problem with this thought process is you may not win back what you lost. If you on tilt then just clam yourself. Stop playing poker for the night. Do something else to take up your time.

What To Do When You On Tilt?

In times like these, its a perfect time to sit down and just read some poker books. Remember, knowledge is power. So read as many poker books as you can and become a powerful poker player.

Once you done reading your poker book. Talk with other poker players on poker forums or poker social networks. There is always a player better than yourself to help you out with what you doing wrong. You may even make some cool poker friends.

So the next time you playing your heart out and just can’t seem to win. STOP! Take some time to read poker books, connect with other poker players on poker forums and poker social networks.

Maybe even hope in a freeroll or two to clam yourself. If you lose in a freeroll you don’t lose any money so go for it and apply what you learned from the poker books and your new found poker friends.

Lets recap what to do when you on tilt and how we can become better poker player from it.

1) Stop playing poker! (Just for that night)

2) Read poker books

3) Connent with other poker players in a poker community

4) Play in a freeroll tournament or two to relax your mind

5) Go to a poker school

After awhile I learned the secret to overcoming a big tournament of poker. When you sitting at a table for awhile you are playing the same players hand after hand. Some of them slowly learn how you play. You need to switch up your game a bit to keep building your chip stack to make in the top 10% playing in a tournament of poker

If you playing really tight and people realize this and fold their hand when ever you have a good hand. This is the perfect time to switch up your playing style on them. Play loose and steal as many blinds as you can before they realize you playing loose. After they realize this, go back to the way you was playing before really tight. Start to win those big pots again.

I don’t know how many times I have done this in tournaments to reach the final table. Trust me, you don’t want to reach the final table to be the guy with the short chip stack. That’s like trying to get a girlfriend that’s a gold digger when you have no money. It’s just not going to happen. So showing up at the final table with the smallest chip stack isn’t the brightest plan. Some unofficial but relatively complete poker web site ranking table with screen shots and detailed reviews of the currently most appreciated site for playing on top online poker rooms.

That’s why when you in a tournament of poker you need to always be on your Ps and Qs building your chip stack. Make sure you got a snack next to you and something to drink. When you in a big tournament is a long road before it ends. I always be ready to run to the restroom on break, get more snacks, and of course got to get more to drink.

Its nothing worst then to be in a serious hand with a dry mouth and nothing to drink with nobody next to you to go get something to drink for you.

Next time you in a big poker tournament prepare yourself to overcome the odds.

Thinking to myself, I maybe a little off my game. I went to the 6 seat $0.01/$0.02 no limit texas hold’em ring games. Sat down with $0.80 just to check out my skills before playing at the higher levels again. Then I get a notice taking about the take 2 promotion thats going on at full tilt poker.

All I had to do was click the button and then play at 2 ring game tables. Fair enough, I can play at 2 tables at once. More points and most of all, free cash. I sat my eyes on the lowest prize they have in this promotion which is $5. All I need to do is play at 2 ring game tables at once and get 1 full tilt point a day for 5 days.

Well that’s pretty easy to get $5 free. Think about it, I am going to be winning and losing money anyways. All in all, I am sure I will come out on top with this one. While after my poker playing for today, I got over 1 point and lost around $2. I will win that back tomorrow and more.
