Lupe Fiasco has dropped a new joint called “Freedom Ain’t Free” which uses a replayed version of Pete Rock and Cl Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y.” Lupe’s message is on point on this record but not everyone is happy with his use of the classic tune. Including PETE ROCK.

“The Dictator“  (R)  Trailer  Restricted  (Opened Wednesday)

Sacha Baron Cohen plays brutal North African dictator ‘Admiral General Aladeen’, who comes to America.  But it’s not a mockumentary like “Borat” or “Bruno”, it’s totally scripted.

–Aladeen goes to New York to address the United Nations, but is forced to live as a commoner after John C. Reilly cuts off his gloriously thick beard . . . and no one recognizes him without it.

–Anna Faris plays an activist who takes Aladeen in, and Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley plays Aladeen’s treacherous uncle.

(–The movie’s website is worth a look too, since it’s set up like a fake site for the Republic of Wadiya.)

 “What to Expect When You’re Expecting“  (PG-13)  Trailer

This one has a pretty big cast.  It’s about five couples going through the experience of having a baby.  The pregnant ladies are Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, and Anna Kendrick. 

–Chris Rock is in it as one of the experienced fathers in a “dudes group” that meets at the park and takes clueless new dads under their collective wing.  The rest of the men include Dennis Quaid and “Glee’s” Matthew Morrison.

“Battleship“  (PG-13)  Trailer

“Friday Night Lights” stud Taylor Kitsch and “True Blood’s” Alexander Skarsgard play brothers defending against an alien invasion.  Liam Neeson is the commander of their fleet.  It also stars Brooklyn Decker . . . and Rihanna in her acting debut.

–She says, quote, “I didn’t know if I would like it or be good at it.  I really enjoyed the experience and I want to do more, try different types of roles so that I can see what I excel in most or like best.”  (–Rihanna talks about her acting inspiration here.)

–“Battleship” has already made over $215 million.  It opened in foreign countries on Sunday, and in some places as early as May 6th.

(–The movie was only “inspired” by the board game, and obviously has no direct connection to it.  However, there is a Facebook app that lets you watch clips from the film and challenge your friends to play.)

“The Samaritan“  (Not Rated)  Trailer  (Limited)

Samuel L. Jackson is released from jail after a 25-year sentence for killing his grifting partner.  Then the dead guy’s son suckers him into going after an $8 million score by conning a ruthless underworld boss, played by Tom Wilkinson.

DMX returns with a appetizer to gwet you ready for his new album “Undisputed” which hits the streets June 26th.

–“Max Payne 3“  (M) . . . on Xbox360 and PS3.  For the third game in the “Max Payne” franchise, Max leaves New York City to work for a private security firm in Brazil. 

Bullet-time has been improved to reward players for the difficulty of their shots and the final killcam lets you follow the last bullet you hit an enemy with.

The “crews” you create in the online multiplayer can also be leveled up in other games, including the next “Grand Theft Auto”.  (Trailer 1)  (Trailer 2)  See more games after the click.

–“Game of Thrones“  (M) . . . on Xbox360, PS3 and PC.  This game takes place during the events of the first season of the show, but follows a completely separate storyline written by the author of the books. 

You play as two heroes:  One’s a “skinchanger”, like Bran Stark, who can slip into the skin of his dog . . . and the other is a red priest who lights his sword on fire.  He shares a god with Melisandre, the hot redhead from this season.  Their stories are told alternatively until their paths converge during a common quest.  (Trailer)  (The Wall)

–“Diablo III“  (M) . . . on the PC.  In the first game you went up against Diablo.  In the second game you went up against all three Prime Evils.  In this one you’re up against two Lesser Evils, Azmodan and Belial, while you try to figure out the Black Soulstone.

This game introduces you to the niece of Deckard Cain, the old man who guides your hero in the first two games.  The five classes you can play as are Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Monk, and Demon Hunter.  (Trailer)

One of the best new features in the game is the addition of the Auction House, which gives you the option you sell the gear you accumulate in game for REAL MONEY. 

–“Battleship: The Video Game“  (T) . . . on Xbox360, PS3, Wii, DS and 3DS.  The video game is based on the upcoming movie, which is about an alien invasion that in no way reflects the original board game, but whatever.  This game is a first person shooter, but there’s also a  actical Battle Command mode, like the board game.  (Trailer)

–“Mario Open Tennis“  (E) . . . on 3DS this Sunday.  Playable characters include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Toad.  This is the first “Mario Tennis” game that will let you simultaneously play online against another player.  (Trailer)

–“Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II“  (E) . . . downloadable on Xbox360, PS3 and PC.  Metal Sonic and Tails rejoin Sonic for another episode of the rebooted franchise.  (Trailer)

–“One for the Money“ – Katherine Heigl is a rookie bail bondswoman, who uses her new skills to go after a $50,000 bounty on her old high school boyfriend.  “Terra Nova’s” Jason O’Mara is the fugitive ex-boyfriend, and Sherri Shepherd from “The View” is the chubby hooker helping Stephanie track him down.

–“Albert Nobbs“ – Glenn Close has spent 30 years passing herself off as a MAN in order to survive in 19th century Ireland.  She works as a hotel waiter, and Mia Wasikowska from “Alice in Wonderland” is the coworker “he” wants to marry.

–“The Devil Inside“ – A woman murders three people in the middle of her own exorcism, and gets locked up for the rest of her life.  A Brazilian minx named Fernanda Andrade plays her daughter, who asks some exorcists to take another shot at removing the four demons that have possessed her mom.

–“The Grey“ – Liam Neeson’s plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, a pack of wolves attacks the survivors, and he has to lead everyone back to civilization . . . with the wolves hunting them.  It’s pretty intense . . . especially the scene where he wraps his hands in broken glass to attack a wolf with just a knife and his BARE HANDS.

–“Rampart“ – Woody Harrelson is a corrupt cop trying to beat a conviction after he’s caught on tape beating a suspect.  The cast includes:  Ned Beatty, Ice Cube, Anne Heche, Cynthia Nixon, Sigourney Weaver, Robin Wright, and Steve Buscemi.
