Wow. Wow!! Wow… I’m happy again. It’s a some time since the last matching concert. There were peaces with 3½ beats, 4½, 10 (4-3-3), slow 7 beats – actually, I don’t remember 4 beats. Oh, I feel good. I didn’t know one can dance 3½ beats so easy.

As for Trilok Gurtus sidemen, Johann Berby made a solid bass, Roland Cabezas added many colors on guitar, but Carlo Cantini made the music with synth and violin. All working for the music first hand, then for Trilok. Outstanding! Do not miss it if you got the chance!

I see sometime here, on the TV, an Iranian. He is talking about war. I’m sure he does not represent all the people of Iran. If you see someone on your TV talking about bombing you – be sure he does not represent all of us.

I’m not an official representative of my country. I m a father and a teacher. I know the streets of my town, I talk with my neighbors, my family, my students, my friends and in the name of all these people, we love you. We mean you no harm. On the contrary, we want to meet, have some coffee and talk about sports.

Wow! I love to imagine how revolution spreads to Iran (again), from the Arabs to the Jews, finally to the christian and hindu world. All ending in one big r-evol-ution. Has it really started, the myth of 2012? The Change? Is evolution to bring mind on a new level? Families to unite over interreligious borders? Bringing peace to the Middle East? Nationalism is dead. Yes, back from the first outdoor session this year. Yay! Inspiration lead to a minor scale with the major 6th as the main note, playing downwards to the 5th, upwards to the 4th. For a basic concept. Kind of melancholic romance.

It’s still to cold to play fast, but nice to play beautiful.

Some years ago I posted an old movie clip «The Power of Ten». If you haven’t seen this, I suggest to do that – it takes some minutes and will leave you astonished for some days. It starts showing a square meter, then zooms out to the edge of the universe, goes back and zooms in to the quarks.

This small Flash-App «Scale of the Universe» is something similar, based on actual science data. The design looks a bit like a Power Point presentation – but hey, this is about science, not art.

Just thinking about that light would need seven times longer to cross the estimated size of the universe (93 billion lightyears) at light speed than it is old (13.4 billion yars that is) – makes me … aware. Astonished.

They say human minds cannot apprehend such dimensions. I’m not sure. Start thinking about the last year of your life, how much time it was; about 10 years of you like; your whole lifetime; how many of your ancestors lived  in the last 1’000 years?; the technical progress in the last 10’000 years; 50’000 years ago modern humans started colonizing the continents; anatomically modern humans appearing in Africa 200’000 years ago – how many descendants will you have in the year 202’012? Visualize your whole lifetime; 1’500’000 years ago were the first simple huts; 2’400’000 years ago appearance of the homo genus – imagine the winters: no food and it’s damn cold – they needed to wait for about 2’394’500 years for sewerage; modern-type butterflies appeared 40 mio years ago. Take your time, repeat, imagine the years.

Now watch the clip «650 million years in 120 seconds», it’s about plate tectonics and starts 400 mio years ago. Try to watch your place on earth while you think about the points above. If you do it right, your mind starts to screw – so switch it of. But let your brain whirl, while dimensions clear away. You need to bear and hold that whirling to go on. Take your time, repeat.

Now think of the globe, how she is born, how mother sun gets her most intelligent child. It’s 9 billion years after Big Bang – 4.5 billion years later the mid-aged earth will have the humans, an itching pest (see the joke). You are something like a gut bacteria that goes cancering its host. Not more, but not less. Life exists today since 3’800’000’000 years. Will your descendants be able to colonize a new planet when our sun becomes a supernova in 6 billion years? How many lover’s griefs will have been till then? How many agony over all, if you will pile it up then, for all civilisations? And on all planets in all galaxies? And, why? Take your time, repeat.

From today, go back three earth lifetimes to the big bang. Imagine the bang. Room gets created, a bubble. The physical laws get created. Matter gets created. The bubble expands. It accelerates its expansion. Today, you need to travel 20 times the age of earth at light speed to cross the estimated size of the universe. Do some travelling through space, try to find the milkyway, the sun, while staying aware of the whole. Do some travelling through time, watch the birth and evolution of all life on earth, while staying aware of your lifetime! That’s what I call a cool makro-meditation!

Did you arrive without going schizo? Did you find God? Where is she? Not so much out there I guess, but more in there. Science is about what it is, mysticism about how it feels. Macro- and microcosmos is not the same, but feels like the same. Science and mysticism are like your hands: They are the same, but are not. I’m sure we all can apprehend such dimensions, and many more. Just keep on practicing! Master the quanta. Let me know of your mikro-meditation, that’s not my favorite terrain.

Frozen Rose

Two years ago I wrote a blog because there were some news about 212 people who had freeze to death – in Europe. I just read about over 300 more this winter.

What the heck! Is it just me, or… you know, I mean… why is this not a scandal? It would be if people woud die of hunger – why not in this case? Europe is the root of social democracy – why do we let that happen?

Ist das eine Ragingagentur? Oder sollte es heissen Rating? Oder ist etwa Fitch falsch geschrieben? Irgendwie bin ich jetzt ziemlich verunsichert. Sicher scheint mir einzig, dass sich die Hochfinanz langsam aber sicher alles und jeden unter den Nagel reisst.

Wer den Waffenhandel kontrolliert, kontrolliert den Krieg. Wer die Börse kontrolliert, kontrolliert die Wirtschaft. Wer die Politik kontrolliert, kontrolliert den Staat. Wer die Schulden kontrolliert, kontrolliert ALLES. So einfach ist das.

Das Verlassen von Gedankenautobahnen, das Hinterfragen der eigenen Konditionierung im Kopf und dem anschliessenden Manifestieren im eigenen Tun führt zu Phänomenen im Sein, mit denen heutige Wissenschaft noch etwas Mühe hat. Das kennt man ja. Ebenso, dass es unwissenschaftlich ist, neue Wege abzulehnen, weil sie nicht in bestehende Muster passen. Nicht nur die moderne Physik, auch die aktuelle Gehirnforschung scheint immer mehr auf den Pfaden der alten Mystiker zu wandeln.

Wenn Joe auch nicht Begriffe benutzt wie «Quantenheilung» oder «Matrix System» – bei denen mir inzwischen fast die Galle hoch kommt – vermarktet er sich ala «make change real – start living your full potential» und zielt damit auf die von Reichtum und Erfolg träumenden Egos. Wenn der Weg zum Neuen Menschen darüber führt, dass man sie mit ihren Illusionen angelt, kann man ja mal ein Auge zu drücken.

AXPO-Werbung an der AKW-Demo

Ja, ich weiss, das Foto ist verwackelt: Schuld ist der fahrende Bus, im Ernst! Das Bild hab ich auch nur schnell-schnell editiert, ich bin müde. Aber dennoch, eine kleine Ironie des Alltags.

20’000 Menschen seien’s gewesen an der AKW-Demo heute, hier beim Tagi ist ein kleines Log des Tages in Döttingen zu finden. Auf dem Retourweg gegen Abend dann die grosse Überraschung im Shuttle-Bus:

Hier hängt ein Plakat für ein «Halt Festival» mit garantiertem, geistigem Mehrwert von Comedy über Beach- zu Schlagerparty, uniformes Linedancing für Dummies und – das Beste – alles zum «sparen Sie doppelt»-Preis!

Als Hauptsponsor tritt die AEW Energie AG auf, ein Mitglied der AXPO, wie da steht, welche Betreiberin ist der AKWs Beznau, Gösgen und Leibstadt.

Was will mir das bloss sagen? Etwa, dass die AXPO mit dem aus Kernenergie verdienten Geld auch gute Kultur unterstützt und damit eine Existenzberechtigung hat? «Ohne Beznau kein doppeltes sparen»? Werbung für ein «Linedance der AKWs»? «Strahlende Comedians»?

Ich entscheide mich mal für «AKW-Schla(e)ger am Sonntag», da fühle ich mich just in time angesprochen, trotz meiner pazifistischen Einstellung. Ich hoffe, wir alle haben sie heute erfolgreich geschlagen.

Fukushima and the rising sea level

Quickly this was the oldest article I found, from July 2007. Ironically an uranium dealer site. It seems the question mark in the title should be deleted. Who knows that sea level will not rise the 10 meters some time the next few thousand years, the amount 3 reactors are above sea level? How many meters will be disastrous?

If a new sarcophagus in Chernobyl costs billions, what about Fukushima? Will it be possible to fight rising ground water? To build a new sarcophagus under water? What if needed High Tech solutions go missing by the upcoming fossil fuel crisis or a possible new financial crisis? Who cares (what happens) when we are gone? If radioactivity goes into the sea, it will no more be locally like in Chernobyl.

Let’s hope Tepco’s engineers are more intelligent as I am…

As you may know, Osama Bin Laden got killed last monday. Most probably I think because one wanted to avoid the possibility of terror acts to release Osama.

Finally I stumbled over the term «autopoiesis», a term used in system theory. Sociological systems (after Lehmann) are not made by actors, but only by communication. Sociological systems produce and reproduce themselves through communication. Reference points are only seemingly actors or the environment (you and me), in fact the reference point of communication is an inner picture that follows the system’s own laws (the system’s dogmas), thus communication uses itself as reference.

Cross-linked or caught thinking?

Translated that means things like «murder and violence is bad», «greed is bad», «sex is bad», «produce CO2 is bad», but «killing Osama Bin Laden is good», «cheating for riches is good» (especially if you don’t see the betrayed ones, eg. with shares), «having sex is good» (at least if you don’t talk about), and «being always on the move is good» too (or else you may start to feel yourself).

Obviously it’s something wrong here, but as long as one stays in the autopoiesic system there’s no conflict because one follows the system’s rules: One is system blind. The consequence is that there is no big chance to change the world from outside or top-down, simply because there is nothing wrong in communications if everyone agrees to the inconsistence.

To change for a New World, each of us has to leave the autopoiesic system – change from inside out is the only way. True is not what you see or hear, nor what you think (well, sometimes) – true is what feels just right in your heart. So, we need an autopoiesic system of hearts – not of communications – because your heart will never fail if you listen quietly. (Don’t let your brain fool you about this: Your heart doesn’t talk in your head!)

This is very complex stuff to fill books, and English is not my mother tongue. If you don’t like to ask or meditate about this, you may better check in your bed before sleep what your Facebook friends had for dinner today. «That is good – this text is tiring (aka bad)». Maybe check your «Greece Ltd» shares too, they might have put on a revolution to ruin you (not to get their country back).

WoZ: Es superreich(t) jetzt!

Ich habe ein ziemlich schlechtes Gewissen, den geklauten Inhalt der WoZ zum 1. Mai hier zu posten – aber alleine schon das Titelbild nicht schweizweit per Zwangsverordnung und Strafandrohung zu verbreiten, hielte ich für ein Verbrechen, geschweige denn von der Einleitung zum Hauptartikel:

Bei der Lohnverteilung, bei der Abgabenpolitik, bei der Vermögensentwicklung: In der Schweiz findet eine gigantische und systematische Umverteilung von unten nach oben statt. Das belegt der «Verteilungsbericht» des Schweizerischen Gewerkschaftsbundes, der diese Woche erschienen ist.

Wie gigantisch die Umverteilung ist, zeigt sich beim Betrachten der Zahlen: Das Lohnwachstum der Mehrheit der Beschäftigten blieb unter ihrem Beitrag an die Produktivität, die Zahl der Gehaltsmillionäre hat sich hingegen in den letzten zwanzig Jahren verfünffacht. Systematisch wird die Umverteilung von der Politik ermöglicht: Direkte Steuern, die progressiv wirken, werden durch indirekte Abgaben ersetzt. Mit der Folge, dass einer Familie mit tiefem Einkommen von ihrem Lohnzuwachs noch ein Zehntel, einer Familie mit hohem Einkommen alles bleibt (vgl. Seite 3).

Dass die Umverteilung mit voller Absicht erfolgt, wurde diesen Frühling exemplarisch an der Unternehmenssteuerreform II ersichtlich: Nachdem bekannt wurde, dass sie für Aktionärinnen Steuergeschenke in Milliardenhöhe bringt, von denen der verantwortliche Finanzminister Hans-Rudolf Merz im Abstimmungskampf nichts gesagt hatte, trat das Parlament nochmals zusammen. Nicht wider besseres Wissen, sondern im besseren Wissen beschloss es, die Steuergeschenke zu akzeptieren.

Auf der WoZ-Site ist weiterhin ein 10-Punkteplan zu finden, wie wir den Reichen das Geld wegnehmen können. Damit ich nicht in falschem Licht da stehe: Ich will es ja nicht haben, zumindest nicht direkt. Aber wenn unser aller Lebenshaltungkosten etwas sinken, wäre ich um meinen kleinen Anteil natürlich nicht traurig – so wenig wie Du! Dafür würde ich es begrüssen, wenn wir für energie- und materialintensive Produkte und Dienstleistungen der Kostenwahrheit entsprechend bezahlen müssten; die Lebenszyklen heutiger Produkte sind um ein mehrfaches zu kurz. Allerdings könnten diese helfen, für eine Neue Welt Produkte schnell und flächendeckend durch effizientere und langlebigere zu ersetzen – wenn man sich dazu entschliessen würde.
