It seems slightly surreal to be showing you swimwear when there are hailstones bouncing outside my window...

We might not be familiar with sunshine in The Kingdom but we are familiar with the wonderful we are handsome, having shared their work many times.

This season sees them introduces new flirty shapes and styles with the Gather One Piece, Halter One Piece, Gather Bikini and the very aptly named New String Bikini!

The prints are an expedition to the Fairground, the Antarctic, African planes and the woodlands - where foxes are friendly and free. The signature animal print is a mystical white tiger and this season’s floral print brings to life the fragrance of flowers.

This is swimwear to make you feel like a supermodel...

Where do you source your iconic prints and remain unique to the graphic aesthetic? -Through creating our own imagery. All prints are created and designed by our team. You will never see them anywhere else. This allows us to put our emotion and spirit in each one.

Who has been your favorite celebrity to collaborate with? - It was amazing to work with Rihanna. She had a specific vision in mind and with that, the Bob Marley custom suit was born. It was very inspiring to see her sporting it on the beaches of Barbados.

What are some of your favorite summer trends? -Being able to wear swimwear as clothing. It makes packing for a Summer holiday that much easier.

When you're not designing swimwear, what do you like to do in your spare time? -We both enjoy spending time with our other halves and are keen animal lovers (both of us have dogs) so we’re generally outside making the most of this time. A great glass of wine doesn’t go astray either and there are plenty of local restaurants which we love to frequent.

What can we expect from the next collection? -We can't disclose too many details, as we like to surprise! But with our next range for summer expect to see a few new silhouettes and lots of pop color

I was recently followed on Twitter by a label based in Portland, Oregon, called Wildfang. I'd never heard of them before but really liked the name so I checked out the site. I was very pleasantly suprised. They describe their wears as being "tomboy style" and I definitely agree with that sentiment.

It's the basics most of us have come to know and love, such as the perfect white tee, the slouchy plaid shirt and tight black jeans - wardrobe straples which many of us are always hunting for. Beyond that though, they have more directional pieces such as beautiful leather track pants and the perfect black harem trousers.

I also really like their charming story of who they met and began their label.

"This is a story of two girls. And though they were born on opposite sides of the Atlantic, their childhoods were not so very opposite. Like many girls, they were tomboys—they built forts, scraped their knees, chased boys and were chased back. But like all girls, it wasn’t long before they grew up, and grew their own senses of adventure. As fate would have it, they both headed west.

This is a story of two friends. They found each other in Portland, Oregon, and it was there that they also found themselves—Irish, in her blazers and stilettos, and Fox, in her button-downs and sneakers. A friendship formed, swift and strong—they brought out the best in each other. They collected tattoos, ticket stubs, and vintage clothing, but one thing remained out of their grasp.

This is a story of two business partners. With little more than the money in their pockets and the shirts on their backs, they set out to find what was missing: all the best men’s styles, but for women—an answer to the prayers of tomboys everywhere. A tomboy is something which I am at heart and can completly relate to. Skateboarding, DJing - things I've enjoyed doing in my younger years, normally the domain of the boys...and the tomboy. Perhaps not so much tomboy in the physical sense any more, but certainly still in my outlook.

So on several levels the label appeals to me.

The iconic Vipp bin was designed by Holger Neilsen in 1939

“Good design never goes out of fashion”, Holger used to say. Time has proven him right; the Vipp bin has only been marginally improved since it saw the light of day back in 1939. Today the bin is internationally recognised as a design classic, and in November 2009 it was accepted into the architecture and design collection of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Over the years they have engaged in spirited collaborations with Collette, The Louvere and even Damien Hirst to name but a few

This time around they haven given their precious bins a couture wardrobe!

It's a sad day, when a trash can has a bigger couture wardrobe than you!

Vipp presents eight art bins dressed in couture made by German fashion label Lever Couture.

Based in Berln and known for making couture gowns for celebrities like Lady Gaga, Gwyneth Paltrow and more, Lessja Verlingieri of Lever took this as a creative challenge through a different medium. Over 1400 meters of fabric in 400 working hours result in pieces of art. Taking trash and fashion and creating trashion!

Lessja explained the process involved saying -“Of course it was a creative challenge to design couture for bins instead of people. But in the fun process I actually could not tell the difference, because after all, the Vipp pedal bins have a great shape and they are the stars among pedal bins”

Lever Couture’s philosophy is “beauty is the glamour of truth.” using sumptuous materials to sculpt each individual masterpiece.

The Vipp Trashion Bins are available for purchase from the Vipp Flagship Store in Copenhagen.

Who knew a pedal bin could be so glamourous???
