You can find anything about everything on Google. I’ll admit I heavily rely on Google to find the answers to everyday questions - sure, Yahoo! Answers has the same thing too and from what I’ve seen has the market ;), but I’ll still google it first and see what comes up. Well, Ever wonder what it would be like if Google was actually a real doctor? Check out Natalie Tran (Nat) on her youtube channel, CommunityChannel, and she’ll show you!

I’ve been following Nat for over a year now and her videos are the best when it comes analyzing the most random and mundane moments in life. You should subscribe to CommunityChannel - you will not regret it. her extremely witty personality is sure not to disappoint.

Having Trouble Uploading Photos To My Facebook Profile With Google Chrome

So, I’ve been having some trouble uploading new photos to my facebook account. Actually, I’ve had a more than just a little trouble uploading photos; I’ve spent the last 4 days trying to. Ugh.

This isn’t the first time I’ve had trouble with facebook. Several months ago I couldn’t edit any of my photos, or post anything on my wall; pretty nuts. But, after almost going insane, I opened Internet Explorer instead and whaddya know? It worked.

Ummm, I had some extra time so I took screen caps to show you:

So if haven’t already figured out which browser I use from the title of this post, I use Google Chrome. I use Firefox too, but mainly for work, but for everything else such as gmail, adsense, analytics, adwords, Google Chrome is a cleaner interface.

Here’s my question: Since Microsoft owns part of Facebook, what’s stopping them from influencing the Facebook team to slow down cross-browser compatibility fixes for Google Chrome?

I guess my problems are more likely due to the fact that Google Chrome is still a baby in comparison to Internet Explorer and Firefox/ Mozilla, but its Google people; come on! Support it! Google rocks! =)

Windows 7, Fastest Windows Version Ever?

So I finally had a chance to try out Windows 7 a couple of days ago. Windows 7, as many of you already know, officially launched on Thursday, October 22.

I was lucky enough to get a really nice demo of some of the new features Windows 7 has to offer from a local Microsoft Windows 7 Expert Rep at Future Shop over the weekend.

The best thing I appreciate about this new Windows version is the mere fact that it is considerably faster than Windows Vista. I was told pre-Windows 7 launch that it held the same look and feel of Windows Vista, but was stripped down of unnecessary processes that caused Windows Vista to be horrendously slow. Many of the people I talked to about Windows Vista in the past simply hated it from the beginning since all they heard were horror stories about compatibility issues and speed. With Windows 7, Microsoft added a new feature that actually lets you go into Windows XP mode for any software only compatible with the older Windows version.

From what I learned from the demo, Windows 7 is not only faster than Windows Vista, but has simply improved the end-user experience. Some of the new features include:

Windows Search - now you don’t have to press the “F1″ key to find help topics about what you need help doing. The Windows Search bar is located in the start menu and acts like a dynamic ajax’d search bar you’ll find on the Yahoo! search engine.
Snap - by simply dragging a window to your screen’s past the left or right edge, the window expands or shinks to half of your screen so you can compare another window/file by doing the same to the other window in the opposite direction.
Taskbar / Dock - the new taskbar not only has a new cleaner look, but almost resembles the Mac dock. You can actually change the opacity to make it translucent; ahem, who said anything about Microsoft being original?
Live Taskbar Previews - this is probably my favourite feature of Windows 7. If you’re like me, you’ll have loads of tabs open in a single browser window. Live Taskbar Previews will not only preview the current webpage, but it will show you a screenshot of the other tabs in your browser window - handy indeed.
Slideshow Windows Desktop Background - just like Mac OS, now Windows gives you the option of rotating different desktop backgrounds while you work
Stream audio/video from your home PC on any computer running Windows 7

Overall, I find Windows 7 to be the, “What Windows Vista Should Have Been”, version of Windows. Not only does it rival against Windows XP’s speed and popularity, but it has some really nice new features that has me thinking Windows again… I still want a Macbook pro for Christmas though haha!

Little Gordon Ramsay - Video Campaign

Gordon Ramsay of Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares is my favourite celebrity chef. His shows not only showcase his passion for food but also demonstrates his ability to be brutally honest with people.

For those of you who don’t know me personally, I watch Hell’s Kitchen religiously. Not to mention, I love his F-Word cooking show! I can cook some of those things now! For instance his, Stuffed Chicken! (I cooked it for the first time 2 weeks ago, here’s a photo I took:

I took a different route with this recipe; I used chicken breasts instead of legs and almonds instead of pistachios. Here’s Gordon Ramsay cooking his original recipe:

So one night, as I was watching cooking video after cooking video, I stumbled upon a small series of videos entitled, “Little Gordon Ramsay”. They got this little blond boy to act like Gordon Ramsay in different situations and boy does he ever do a fantastic job! These videos were part of a viral video campaign by Caterer.com; a job web site for the hotel and restaurant industry based in the UK. I personally think these videos are hilarious to watch!… over and over again! Its classic Gordon Ramsay in a tiny package! haha

Google Chrome Themes

I’ve been using Google Chrome since January this year. I totally appreciate the homepage screen shot links to my most frequently used websites and how quickly Adsense, Adwords, Analytics and YouTube load on this browser. Although, this browser has had me tweaking my CSS for my websites (ie. my image here doesn’t work), Google Chrome is a very nice browser to do most common things with.

How do you change your google chrome theme? If you changed your homepage to your favourite website, open a new tab and you will see the original google chrome homepage with screenshots of your most frequently used websites. On the lower part of the screen you will see a “page turn” graphic you need to click that links to the google chrome theme catalog. This catalog has two sections; a section of themes created by artists and themes created by google.

So there you have it, Google Chrome Themes. I <3 Chrome… BUT, I still prefer Firefox then IE for my my web design and development work; they’re just made with the developer in mind and Chrome isn’t.
