Being in Toys R Us is our first step towards proving to the world that engineering for girls is a mainstream concept. We are faced with an enormous opportunity and challenge: we must prove that GoldieBlox deserves to be on the shelves.

The odds are against us. We've been told that GoldieBlox can't survive in mass stores next to Barbie. Convention says that engineering toys for girls are a "niche" for the affluent, and for the internet. Together, we must prove convention wrong. Here's how you can help:

1) Go to your local Toys R Us and find GoldieBlox (it's kind of like "Where's Waldo?")
2) Share this video with your friends on Facebook
3) Tweet or Instagram pictures of GoldieBlox on store shelves (#GoldieBloxintheWild)

House Stenographer Goes Bats**t After House Vote

A woman identified on FOX News as Dianne Reidy, a House stenographer, was pulled out of the House chamber while shouting into a microphone during Wednesday’s vote on a compromise bill to end the government shutdown and raise the debt limit. There was minor chaos in the chamber as Rep. Ileana Ros Lehtinen (R-Fla.) banged the gavel to restore order (See video below).

She was heard shouting, “He will not be mocked” and “This is not one nation under God. It never was.” She continued with, “The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under god! It never was. Had it been, it would not have been! The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons!”

According to the audio (below) it sounds as if they are pleading with her and calling her the name, Molly. The audio recording (below) of the incident was posted online by Public Radio International reporter Todd Zwillich.

In February 2012, I wrote about a new wave of sound streaming out from the Northwest once again and it's not grunge revisited or anything to do with friggin' Twilight.

Dungeness Records is producing some great new talent in Sequim, Washington. At the time, I found a video produced by Squared Away Cinema for a debut single from Noelle Johnson titled, "Autumn Song".

Noelle has come up with a new video for her song, "Beautiful Soul," which was released earlier this year. The song is terrific and if Dove hasn't already contacted Noelle and Dungeness about licensing the rights to this for their products, then they are way behind the eight ball. Check out the song and video below:
