Question: Old Winnie-the-Pooh computer game?

I can't remember the name. But I want to see if I could find it again and order it online. It was not the Animated Storybook, I know, because I remember that one quite clearly and this is not it.

It was like, at the beginning Pooh parachuted down and I remember doing something with words on jack-in-the-boxes with Tigger. And something with words and Hunny-pots with Pooh. It was probably a reading game.

Question: Missing Girl by Norma Fox Mazer?

I'm going to get this book tomorrow from the library and I was wondering if any one knew what chapter Autumn gets kidnapped, I read as many chapters as they would allow on barnes&noble but I do not like long, drawn out books, I found the short preview very intreaging but I just want to make sure that it is not at the end of the book ?

The five Herbert sisters live their lives totally unaware of what is going on around them. They are each living out their own personal dramas totally self absorbed, that is until "the man" decides to treat them as his own personal flock of birds and follows their every move with disturbing fascination.

Told in a back and forth style you slowly see the predator mind calculate his next move and his justifications and the young girls are totally unaware of what is going on around them until it's too late and the inevitable takes place.

This book starts very slow and doesn't build steam until the very end which unfortunately is too late. The five sisters ranging in age from 17 to 11 all seem to have the same voice and it's hard to keep them and their ages straight. Billed as a YA psychological thriller, I unfortunately wouldn't call it either. It doesn't go in depth enough and I was more bored than thrilled.

All the children raise their hands, but little Johnny was almost coming out of his seat trying to get picked. The teacher knew Johnny had a filthy mouth and thought to herself that if she picked Johnny, he would give her a word like '***' or '***hole'. She picked Wendy, and Wendy said "apple".

"Very good", said the teacher, "now B".

Johnny was jumping out of his seat again, but the teacher picked Bobby. Bobby said "ball".

This went on and on with Johnny trying to get picked for each letter and the teacher knowing there was a dirty word for it. Then she got to "R". Nobody but Johnny had their hands up.

The teacher thought and thought and couldn't think of a bad word that started with "R". So she picked Johnny.

Johnny stands up and says: "R...Rat...a big, fat, *******' Rat!"

We were assigned a 'fun' project to do for our AP US History class. It's called Turning The Pages To the Past. And basically we read a book that has to with US History and then act out a passage from the book.

[NOVEL DESCRIPTION: Out of This Furnace is Thomas Bell’s most compelling achievement. Its story of three generations of an immigrant Slovak family -- the Dobrejcaks -- still stands as a fresh and extraordinary accomplishment.

The novel begins in the mid-1880s with the naive blundering career of Djuro Kracha. It tracks his arrival from the old country as he walked from New York to White Haven, his later migration to the steel mills of Braddock, and his eventual downfall through foolish financial speculations and an extramarital affair.

The second generation is represented by Kracha’s daughter, Mary, who married Mike Dobrejcak, a steel worker. Their decent lives, made desperate by the inhuman working conditions of the mills, were held together by the warm bonds of their family life, and Mike’s political idealism set example for the children.

I was looking at the Uconn huskies alumni list and they have had great players who are stars in the nba today like Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, Rudy Gay, and others. I was wondering which college has produced the most nba players and which one produced the best nba players.
