Despite being awakened by Blinky the Clown�s loud kids show, Garfield is happy to find that it�s Halloween, which he plans to take advantage of. Thinking he�ll get more candy, the cat tricks Odie into helping him, dressing the dog and himself up as a pair of pirates. The trick-or-treating goes well, but Garfield wants more and goes on a boat across a river, winding up in a haunted house.

Meanwhile, Euchariah, a young bespectacled Who braves the outside to go to the euphemism and inadvertently gets lost, ending up confronting the Grinch.

While at the post office one day, Mary pulls the name of an 'M. Horovitz' out of a New York phone book and decides to write to him to ask if babies in America come from the bottom of beers as they do in Australia. M. Horovitz, or Max Jerry Horovitz, turns out to be a forty-four-year old, severely obese man who suffers anxiety attacks but shares Mary's love of chocolate and cartoons. For the next twenty years, these two unlikely penpals share countless letters and life's various ups and downs.

It is the Berrykins who give the berries and fruits their smell. Meanwhile, the Peculiar Purple Pieman of Porcupine Peak and Sour Grapes are trying to mix up a perfume to sell but not having much luck. The cloud that is formed mixes up the smells of fruits and flowers. When the villains discover the Berrykins, however, they plan to kidnap the Berrykins and use them to make their perfume.

Plum Puddin and Elderberry Owl are returning from a long vacation just in time for Strawberry's camping trip. Plum Puddin also brings along two new friends, Peach Blush and a baby without a name. On the camping trip, Plum Puddin spots what looks like the foot print of a giant monster. The Peculiar Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak is also aware of the giant foot print and wants to stay as far away from the "monster" as possible. But Sour Grapes sees an opportunity to make some money by capturing the creature.

The Peculiar Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak overhears word of the event, thanks to his berry birds and Captain Cackle, and starts making plans to steal the recipes.
