Some Notes and Updates While We Finish the Next Episode

Dear friends of the KeramCast – while we assemble the next episode of KC, I wanted to mention that a film I worked on in 2007 – Marvel Comics’ Punisher: War Zone is out this week via a 2-disc standard DVD and Blu-Ray set. Look for it at your local DVD seller. I loved the film and am proud of what everyone accomplished. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters, treat yourself to a whole lot of fun, and release that pent up rage through it, vicariously.

Also, I invite you to call the KeramCast at our LA studios on (310) 929-7268 and leave your stories about dealing with anxiety. If you do not suffer from an anxiety disorder, you are off the hook. UPDATES: Mogulus, mentioned in this episode, has since evolved into Livestream – a site that has since offered live broadcasts of the Oscars behind-the-scenes and exclusive Presidential campaign videos! Also Revver.com seems to have since gone AWOL.

YouTube has evolved radically, from adding new commercial rental services of select content) adding full HD support and raising its content cap to 2GB. In the near future they will also add metadata for fully searchable video and audio.

At the time this episode was recorded, no one could have predicted the rise of DSLR cameras as the new film threat. In the interim, Keram has launched 7DLabs.com – a site dedicated to shooting with so-called HDSLR cameras.

Despite these subsequent changes, the episode comprises a hearty discussion about what viral videos are, what elements appear to be consistent among them, and how to exploit new content with this in mind.

Good News – Everything’s Fixed!

In Terry Gilliam’s brilliant film “Brazil,” a huge chain of events that rocks the very bureaucracy upon which their society is founded, is set off by the act of swatting a fly and that fly falling off the ceiling and into a typewriter.

Well many hours spent agonizing over why our feed wasn’t properly pinging iTunes have come to an end after a single character in a line of code was discovered to be the source of the glitch.

The good news is, everything is working beautifully again and we look forward to churning out new episodes for your listening pleasure.
