Vine Grove, KY Man Arrested on Several Charges

(Vine Grove, KY)- Trooper Kevin Burton with the Kentucky State Police along with Detective Ponder with the Meade County Sheriff's Office arrested 22 year old Joseph Milby from Vine Grove Ky. Milby was arrested at a residence on Shot Hunt Road in Meade County for an active warrant. It was also discovered that Milby was in possession of crystal methamphetamine. (Vine Grove, KY) -- At 4:20 am KSP Post 4 received a call that a woman had been shot at a residence in the Vine Grove area in Meade County. The victim, 34 year old Toni M. Lawhorn of Vine Grove had been shot once in the stomach. She was able to flee the residence to a neighbor's house where they called 9-1-1. The call was eventually patched to Post 4 dispatchers. Upon further investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence and executed. Six one step Methamphetamine Labs and numerous precursors were discovered inside the residence. (Bedford, KY) -- Troopers have arrested two people after discovering a meth lab inside an apartment located at 115 Hwy. 42 East in Bedford. The lab was discovered yesterday (2/2) at approximately 11:50 p.m. Troopers initially responded to the residence after receiving a loud noise complaint. Once at the residence, Troopers discovered the meth lab. Approximately one gram of methamphetamine and several ingredients used in manufacturing methamphetamine were found at the residence. Amy French was driving a 1994 Toyota pickup and was traveling west on KY 434 when for unknown reasons the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Amy French, 29 year old of Elizabethtown, over corrected the steering and lost control. She was the only passenger in a 1998 Ford operated by her husband, 22-year-old Joshua Porter, both of Tompkinsville. The couple were traveling north on KY 163 when Porter's vehicle hydroplaned and slid into the path of a southbound 1995 Chevy Pickup operated by 41-year-old Raymond L Martin of Edmonton, KY. (Henderson, KY) -- Jessica B. Moss was traveling westbound on Kentucky 54 around the one mile-marker. This location is approximately one mile east from the Daviess County line. For an unknown reason, Ms. Moss ran off the right shoulder of the roadway and attempted to regain control by over-correcting or over-steering her 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. Ms. Moss' vehicle then crossed both lanes and slid sideways into the eastbound ditch where she struck a group of trees. Her vehicle then over turned, throwing her from the vehicle. (Ashland, KY) -- Brian Brewster (AKA "Trinity") waived extradition from New York and was transported back to Kentucky on December 29, 2011. He was transported by the Boyd County Sheriff's Department and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center. He will face charges of Manslaughter 1st degree and Persistent Felony Offender stemming from the KSP investigation into the death of 16 month old Cally Jobe. Injury collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway (MM25)

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Rebecca Salked, age 23 of New Albany, IN, was operating a 2002 Jeep Liberty westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway at approximately the 25 mile-marker when she swerved to avoid a deer. Ms. Salked overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. It exited off the left shoulder of the roadway and crossed the median. The vehicle continued across both eastbound lanes of travel. Arrest of Abdullah White

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) –- On January 4th, Kentucky State Police & the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force developed information leading to the arrest of fugitive Abdullah White. White was located at a hotel on Preston Highway in the Louisville Metropolitan area. Armed Robbery at Dream World Adult Store

(Gray, KY) -- On January 4, 2012 at approximately 2:20 pm, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call of an armed robbery at the Dream World Adult Store in the Gray Community of Knox County. Based on the description obtained from the clerk and store surveillance videos, a white male in his mid 20's wearing a flannel hooded jacket, jeans, white socks over his hands and dark sunglasses with a white mask entered the store carrying a handgun. Post One 2012 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

(Hickory, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post One, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 10-week academy is slated to begin on February 15th and conclude April 18th. Students will meet Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 PM where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Arson Investigation in Lincoln County

(Eubank, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police are currently investigating several suspicious fires in the Eubank Community. Two fires occurred at Anderson Lumber located at 16100 US Hwy 27 and three fires occurred at the Old Eubank High School. The fires are being investigated as arson. The Old Eubank High School property was an unused building and the Anderson Lumber property did not have electricity connected to the structure. (Columbia, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Columbia is investigating a fatal collision that occurred 13 miles north of Columbia on Elkhorn Road at approximately 5:50 PM. Upon investigation it appeared that Jerry Giles, age 52 of Knifley, was operating a motorized wheelchair on KY 76 while under the influence and was struck by a 1997 Chevy pickup, being operated by Randel Gabehart, of Knifley. (Morehead, Ky.) -- On January 2, 2012, beginning at 12:35 p.m., Kentucky State Police responded to a series of chain reaction accidents on I-64 in Rowan County between the 144-145 mile marker. Due to weather conditions of snow and wind, traffic on I-64 was moving at reduced speed. As the 2006 Chevy Uplander operated by Evelyn Maynard approached the slow moving traffic, she attempted to avoid collision and swerved into the left and right lanes until entering the median and overturning. (Madisonville, Ky.) -- Adrian Almaraz, age 19, of Chandler, Indiana, fled from a traffic safety checkpoint on KY 1682 in Christian County. Mr. Almaraz disregarded emergency equipment and continued traveling northbound to the Pennyrile Parkway. Mr. Almaraz exited the Pennyrile Parkway and traveled eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
