This is the first dvd design (first of many I hope) for Tara's Music Magic titled 'Snuggles in Scotland'.
I really loved working on this as it was something different and new for me.

If you have young children you should really consider purchasing the dvd or any of the cds as your children will love the songs.

'Winter Fun'. Did I also mention that I had designed the logo for them too??.. well if not I did and is one of my all time favourite projects to work on, especially how a lot of my designing is kiddified (kiddified is one of my own words).

I know it's been ages since my last blog entry, but it's been a very busy year.

.. Anyway above is one of my latest commissioned designs for Tara Music Magic Ltd.

Tara’s is a past client in which I had designed a logo for her other business (www.achstudios.co.uk). This time she wanted me to design a logo and other designs for her new venture of children’s entertainment to compete with the likes of the Wiggles.

Attached is her ‘Summer Fun’ cd cover that I designed, it is one of 2 cd designs I did for her as well as a dvd cover.

It is a very exciting time for my sister Sharleen and I as we potentially have a great opportunity that could see our first kids range stocked in one of New Zealand's top retailers. Margin Fashion Tradeshow 2010

So, it's been a very busy few months for my sister Sharleen and I with our Kalman Lee business and all. Shar and I were working round the clock and across different time zones to get everything ready for Kalman Lee the designer t-shirt brand's first fashion tradeshow Margin on Feb 14-15 in London. I flew to the other side of the world from NZ to London a few days before the big event to help finish the final preparations. With 8 fresh new designs we were as ready as we could be!

The first day Shar and I were so nervous but as the media and buyers started to pour in, we started to relax. We had an excellent area that we shared will some very talented fashion designers (big shouts out to our new mates from Fat Gold, Villainous Visard, Elenany, Kiddo/Planet of My Own and all the other amazing people we met).

In the 2 days, we were photographed by a number of fashion blogs and by Esquire (hopefully they use the pics) and as our confidence grew, we made as many contacts as we could - not only with potential buyers around the world and the media but with other designers and we really loved the great support of everyone in the same boat.

We were exhausted by the end of it but we had such a fantastic time at Margin that we were sorry to see the end of it. Overall, Shar and I thought our first attempt into the fashion industry was a great success and we really appreciated all the interest and feedback we got.

Since then Shar's been on holiday in NZ and I've been on holiday in the UK but we've also been busy replying to all the emails, twitter messages and calls from blogs, reporters, new fans that we have be receiving and chasing up those stockist contacts we made.

Get the first glimpse of my '2010 T-shirt Range'

Hey everyone,

I have now finished my new t-shirt range for the Margin Exhibition held in London next month and I am giving you all the first glimpse!!!

Both my sister and I are so excited about being included in the Margin Exhibition as they only accept 60 designers and out of those 60 only 9 new comers!
It is a exhibition for media and buyers and it's our biggest opportunity so far to get noticed and hopefully if goes well, we can will have my designs in stores around the UK or even the world!

I am so glad that I will be back in London for this great opportunity and getting to see my gorgeous lady again.

New Year, New Look, New Image!!!

Hi all,

Let me start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!! Hopefully this year will make all our hopes and dreams come true... one of my hopes is that this year I will have my designer t-shirts in clothing stores around the world!

Right now I am working on my t-shirt range that I am designing for the Margin Exhibition held in London next month. It is a great opportunity for my sister and myself to meet other designs but mainly for store buyers and media to take notice of Kalman Lee as a brand with fresh and interesting ideas.

Above is one of the t-shirt designs that will be on display at the Margin Exhibition, this design is titled 'Zebra X'. With this design and most of my new range I wanted to bring out my free style illustration skills more.

On another note... I am looking forward to being back in London next month and hopefully make some great contacts.

Hi all,

Wow!!!... I can't believe it's December already! This year has just gone so fast.

Anyway.... This week's posted image is of some of my recent sketches. These sketches are just some ideas that I am playing around with and some might make my next t-shirt range.

I can't believe that next week it will be a year since my sister and I launched Kalman Lee the 'Brand'.... but what a great year it has been! With 2 t-shirt ranges launched, 2 exhibitions of my artwork (one being my first ever), having the awesome Melvin Odoom and the ever lovely Laura Whitmore wearing my t-shirt designs on their MTV show (MTV Digs), having the amazing experience of giving the likes of Madonna my first t-shirt from my second design range, as well as Lily Allen, The Ting Tings and others enjoying my designs.... my what a first year!!!

A lot of these incredible things that happened this year would not of happened without the amazing support and help from my big sis (and business partner) and not to miss our support from my very gorgeous girlfriend, the rest of our family and of course my friends.

Hi All,

To help boost my sales and fan base I have started to upload my designs on to other review websites to test my old and new designs and also to get some feedback.
So far I have had some really great feed back and it helps a lot to get other people's opinions so I can create more effective t-shirt designs.

Hey Everyone!!!

This week's images are my new bag design and badges.

The first image is my new bag design that is a put together kit of me, just like those model kits kids have:) I wanted to come up with an image that would show my personality, skill, what my business is (t-shirts), be something different and funky all at the same time!.. I hoped it worked.

The second image is my newest badge design titled 'Lil Bot'. This image is the first design of many potential ones for my up and coming kids t-shirt range, but we wanted to test out the new design first on a badge... Let me know what you think... ok?

This Week's Image titled 'Ophelia'

This week's image is dedicated to my lovely girlfriend's niece Ophelia.
I wanted to do something nice for Ophelia's recent birthday as I couldn't celebrate with her because I am on the other side of the world and since I don't have any nieces of my own she is the closest thing to one for me.
Ophelia is very beautiful but very cheeky(just like her aunty).
Seeing that I couldn't be there on Ophelia's big day, I decided to design up a personalised birthday card just for her with a cartoon character that looks like her.
