Yes, I’m heading to Hokkaido this coming May with Kelly, Eyes and Loong. It’s the 3rd year Kelly, Eyes and I did our annual trips together and the destination seems to get further.

It will be 14 days trip except for Kelly who will join us 3 days later. We are going to travel by car which we will covering half of the island including Otaru, Furano, Biei, Sounkyo and mountain trekking at Daisetsuzan. Hopefully we’ll have enough time to go Hakodate before Kelly arrive Sapporo.

We booked China Eastern for its lowest air fare but we just got an confirmation from the agency to upgrade us to ANA due to some issue with CE tickets. We don’t mind with the arrangement, really :)

Japanese Yen is dropped back to its normal exchange rate after a few month’s pick since the economy crisis, it’s a good news for us.

We foresee the main expenses will be on lodging and we managed to get a 1500cc car that cost us below ¥60,000 for 11 days.

I pray for the weather and hopefully to fulfill my wish of compiling my first photography book after the trip.

The last challenge will be getting into the country (there’s always uncertain for Malaysia passport holder and it does not impress the Japan immigration well, due to the large amount of illegal immigrant during 80s). Once on the land, it will be my shutter trigger time, I can almost hear the clicking sound now :)
