Oh no a one panel comic!   About a video game!

Portal is one of my favorite games ever. The humor is fantastic, the omni-present villain is expertly done (I love the Freudian Slips), and the atmosphere is perfect. All of this is of course just piggy-backing on one of the best puzzle elements ever.

The ability to make freaking portals.

I swear I have spent more time messing around with the portals and some random debris off in a remote corner of a level than playing through the actual story.

If you haven’t played this amazing game, I cannot recommend it strongly enough! GO BUY IT NOW!

Ok, I slacked on this comic.  This weekend I played D&D, watched movies, and hung out with friends… I guess I needed a bit of a break.  Sorry about that.  I am contemplating moving to a Tuesday/Saturday schedule, because that would be easier to maintain.

These last two comics were a parody/hommage to “You Have To Burn The Rope” by Mazapán.se.  So I guess this is a parody of a parody?  Does that make it serious?

… I need to sleep more…

In other news, as much as I like Ladytron, my favorite song right now has to be “Be Human” composed by Yoko Kanno, sung by Scott Mathew, and lyrics by “troy”.

It’s only 3 days late… I am still getting used to finding time to get projects/comics/chores/life done around working 40+ hours a week.

Also, I have really been into Ladytron lately thanks to Pandora.  They remind me of Devo, but a little popier.

I don’t really have much to say except that this 2-part, 11 panel comic did not turn out well.  I  guess that happens sometimes with an experimental comic.  Expect a simpler 3-4 panel comic on Friday… It should hopefully be simple enough to  post on time.  >_<

Also, I will probably post cleaner versions of both parts in the next couple of days.  I am rather tired of looking at them right now. lol

One last note. The joke in this comic is based on, but very different from the loss in the game.  I didn’t want to ruin the joke in the game for any of you, so I changed it to this… Briliant move, eh?

So I am almost 30 hours late posting this comic (I am telling Wordpress it was posted on the 6th so the archives look pretty)  because I had… issues getting it done.  I’ll just leave it at that because anything more would just be whining. lol

On a different note, I think it is about time to let you know the character’s name! It’s *drum roll* ZILCH! (Less climatic if you read the tag text.  But honestly who reads those!)

I feel it is appropriate.

Now this page doesn’t really have a strong gag in it (panel 2 makes me giggle a bit) because it is the first part of a 2 part series, but I think the last panel is cool enough to make up for it. >_> 

 I hope you will be willing to come back on Monday (Tuesday would probably be a safer bet. XD) to see the next part.
