i removed all the pages and threw them in the recycling bin (well, you can read)

then i saved the planet a bit more by not even using an envelope.

• i’ve been lusting after a green & stone art bag for A3 drawings/pads. it’s only £115 (!!!) oh but it’s SO lovely:

• heard about The Impossible Project and how they’re bringing back a version of Polaroid SX-70 film. yey! waiting eagerly. wondering how stable the pictures will be as well. (the urban outfitters are doing something with the Impossible Project , see this page);
• discovered Paul Graham’s work and it made me think of the past. and about photography;
• i found a website with all of Van Gogh’s letters. though i have enough books about it and the actual book with his letters this site allows us to see not just the text but the actual facsimile of each page of those letters. which is i think the most fascinating bit;
• i surrended to the facebook friend request from art sleuth have been looking at their blog, though it’s a bit art overload;
• thought about Elizabeth Peyton and how lucky she is never to have grown up and make money (and fame) out of the whole thing – in other words, how little big girls make pretty drawings and it’s all kosher;
• have been browsing the Sartorialist blog. since my recent trip to Paris i’ve become fascinated by nicely dressed beautiful people;
• also, a few people joined my facebook page which is very flattering ;
• browsed the Bureau Gallery site after a friend told me something about it;
• found out about an artists residency, one year in the middle of nowhere in Northumberland, and how much i’d LOVE to do it but i don’t think they’d allow little assistants ;
• the Tate Gallery have now a page with all their films, for a nice coffee break. (though today i can’t access it for some reason);
• … and the Guardian too!;
• browsed the moleskinerie website, as i’m so obsessed with journals (though i hate moleskines, i use the japanese midori traveler’s notebook). it’s like eye candy;
• cried many many tears (and more to come) for little Aisling in New Zealand who died in a horrible way… (it’s like this, when you become a mother, you mother the world, and nevermind geography);
• and finally i started a large painting which i’m hoping to finish soon. it’s about revenge, and owls, and dreams. (sounds a bit Harry Potter-ish doesn’t it?).

i’m the last of the last
& it’s lonely at the bottom.
listen, nothing matters but now
& right now – you’re busy dead.
(but i wish you weren’t)

stop the nonsense!
throw away the books, the computer, the tv
come make history
with discomforts of the morning after.
life is for breathing but also for gasping
& memory is an occupation for hangovers.

we can happen like heroes
so get off your arse, stop talking
