MidWeek Review

This past Sunday was Mothers Day and we were greeted with a torrential downpour throughout the day.
In addition to my gratitude for all the moms in the house on that day – I was grateful for our set up, tear down, parking and greeting teams.
All the volunteer teams at Freedom go above and beyond each week but those teams in particular were operating at a different level on Sunday. Great job.
The Inheritance has been one of my favorite series we’ve ever done.
Yesterday we encountered one of the craziest things we have ever seen.
I will tell you all about it in a later post. It’s too crazy to try to fit into a quick hits post like this.
Continue praying as we look at potential properties for Freedom Church.
I was able to get Lexi on a roller coaster last weekend at Six Flags. That was an experience.
The good news is that it will not be nearly as traumatic the next time.
This coming Sunday is going to be the best of this series so far. I can’t wait.

MidWeek Review

It has been a great week. I love what God is doing and I love the fact that you and I get to be a part!

Had the privilege of speaking at Exponential last week in Orlando. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed being able to learn from so many people while we were there.
In addition to Exponential, I had the opportunity to be part of the Launch Network Board Meeting. I love those guys and consider it an honor to spend time with them.
Lexi turned 10 years old this past week. I couldn’t be more proud of her.
Freedom Church is in a great season right now. I am grateful for what God is doing in and through the lives of people.
I would love for you to join us as we pray for many opportunities that are staring us in the face right now. I’ll tell you more about that in the days ahead.
We started a new series this past week called The Inheritance. I challenged the church to be in attendance at least 4 of the next 5 weeks because this series is that important. It’s Wednesday and I am already ecstatic about this coming week.

A little extra.

We have just started a new series at Freedom Church entitled The Inheritance. It’s all about the inheritance you receive as a result of becoming a follower of Jesus.

We had a ton to cover and not nearly enough time to make it through. As a result, I leave you with some of what had to remain unsaid…

You are accepted (we talked through that one) but are also delivered. Delivered from the slavery of sin through the power of Christ living in you. Here’s one reason that’s so important. Jesus dying on the cross destroyed the power of sin in our lives because if we are followers of Christ – we died with Him. Not only that, we have been given new life just as He was given new life when He rose from the dead.

Hang with me here…

That means that we don’t base our ability to conquer sin on our past success/failure rate. Instead, we fix our attention on Jesus and the power of His life. He earned it (righteousness) on our behalf. Therefore, we have power that we can appropriate in our lives for obedience through faith – not obedience based on our own effort.

We grow in our relationship with God the same way that we began in a relationship with God – by faith.

This Sunday, we are kicking off a brand new series entitled The Inheritance.

This is a series that I do not want you to miss. As a matter of fact, I want you to commit to being in attendance for at least 4 of the 5 weeks of this series. It’s that important.

MidWeek Review

This past Sunday we baptized 34 people including my daughter London AND we saw 7 people accept Christ who immediately came forward to be baptized as well.
We have seen 110 people become followers of Christ and 108 baptized in the past 6 weeks at Freedom Church.
I wanted to write that the above results are the reason that we do what we do – but that wouldn’t be true.
We do what we do for Jesus. Everything else is a bonus. The irony of that is when we seek first God’s Kingdom – He tends to add much to that bonus (blessing) category.
Don’t ever be afraid to celebrate who God is AND what God is doing.
One of the worst things you can do when you are experiencing the blessing of God is count it as common. God is worthy of our celebration!
Great job to those who volunteer, give, invite, etc. God is using you in an incredible way and you are making a significant difference!
Today I will be speaking at the Exponential Conference in Orlando, FL. It’s an honor to have been asked to do so and I intend to learn as much as possible while I am there.
In addition, we will be having our Board Meeting for the Launch Network. We are proud to partner with this organization! If you desire to start a church – don’t do so without checking out Launch.
My daughter Lexi turns 10 years old on the 28th. I can’t even believe I just typed that. 10 years old.
