Anybody watching here America’s Next Top Model? So you know that petites are on top there this cycle 13 of ANTM? As in below 5 foot and 7 inches tall are in and the shortest of all is 5′3″ tall only. It’s fun isn’t it? Yeah it’s fun and funny because I didn’t even reach 5′3″ tall hahaha boink! Gosh I think I’m talking to myself. Well, I’m just sharing the fun. I love Tyra Banks the Supermodel, the host and producer of the show. Last season I’ve watched too but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to start at the beginning. Teyona was the grand winner. Gorgeous and young black lady.
Finally, this season I was able to watch at the start as in the choosing of the final 14 contestants. Here they are, voted out crossed with red x. Yeah it’s down to four and I won’t tell more about what happened with the last episodes because it will make my post so long and will finished after one million years! The models are in Hawaii right now. The final four Nicole, Jennifer, Erin and Laura will learn some hip hop hula moves before chanelling the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes during this week’s photoshoot.

I love watching this show as in! Especially petites like me this season are in wink! Tyra Banks rocks!

It’s getting hot in here

It’s getting hotter and hotter every day here in Melbourne. We’re heading summer but the signs for me so early. No more rainy and freezing day. I actually prefer cold days because hot weather gives me headache and makes me exhausted most of the time. How I wish my family can go to Outer Banks vacation homes this summer. It would be so fabulous. But still I miss the beaches in my homeland. I miss Boracay, I miss Bohol Beach Club and Alona Beach in Bohol. My wishes are far from reality as of now so maybe Queensland would be fine because it’s the nearest of all.

The joys of learning

I’m glad that my 6 years old son can now read properly after all the reading practice we did every night. There were times that he complained about reading chapter books. Well, maybe I’m pushing him too hard so I just let him choose short story books to read. I’m already reading textbooks at the age of seven. Actually, I don’t like it and I end up so bored and looking for books with interesting pictures. I understand how the kids feel when you offer them books with no colorful pictures or no pictures at all. There’s an appropriate time for them when to read textbooks and they will find out when that be. As of now, they need to enjoy the joys of learning, enhance their imagination without pushing too hard.

Australian Idol contestants down to three

Nathan Brake was voted out and it was less expected. Everyone was shock. Such a darn young performer. The voice is really magnificent. I like him a lot although he’s always judge as theatrical. I like him being theatrical because with it, he can express his inner self. Well, if Nathan’s not good, he won’t reach this far. He reached final four. For sure, there will more doors that will open for him.
Now Oz Idol is down to three. James, Hayley and Stan.

This is Nathan’s Mad World song rendition that made him to final 4. Adam Lambert sung this during Oz Idol season 8. That was the start of me liking the song of Gary Jules. MAD WORLD.

Hot Spring Day

So hot today and to think it’s still spring. This is our second spring here and I can’t remember if this is normal. One of my friend said that some days of November are normally hot. Well, many people rejoice and spend their time at the beach. We went to attend Filipino mass in the city this morning and the sun is biting and tingling to the skin. Now we’re home and planning to pick up the sofa and tv stands that we ordered from a warehouse but we’re already exhausted especially hubby. Maybe later when the weather will start to cool down or tomorrow before the sun goes high.

There are a lot of ways to warm up the home. Off course an old fashioned Amish fireplace is great for a touch of class. The fireplace used to be the best option because in those days they didn’t have electricity. Wood was the fuel for a fireplace, and it often gets the family together. Now a days, we use gas, electric or even oil heaters. These heaters are more expensive to operate, and generally need electricity.

Today is Melbourne Cup day and it’s public holiday here in Melbourne Victoria, AU. It’s Australia’s major Thoroughbred horse race. Billed as The race that stops a nation, it is a race for three-year-olds and over, over a distance of 3,200 metres. It is the richest and most prestigious “two-mile” handicap in the world, and one of the richest turf races in the world. The event is held at around 3 pm on the first Tuesday in November by the Victoria Racing Club, on the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. (source:wikipedia)
I’ve never been to this kind of big event and what I love the most about it is the way how people especially women dress-up. Wearing fabulous hats and dresses like this…

I find ceramic kitchenware so fascinating. That’s why I’m collecting. Well, my collection is only few as of now. Mostly, I got those with tiny flower designs in the middle and the edges also was like shears. Hubby doesn’t have idea that ceramic is safe to use for baking. When it comes to home designs like bathroom floor, I prefer ceramic tiles because it has been used for centuries and offers more options in color, texture, pattern and overall beauty than most other floor covering materials. Glazed ceramic and porcelain tiles are great choices for bathrooms, kitchens, foyers, sun rooms and great rooms.

A friend of mine who is a single parent confessed to me that she’s really upset about her weight. She tried everything to get rid of her fats except surgery but nothing seems to be working. She can’t afford to undergo liposuction. Is there any hope for her? She’s a woman with a good curves but fats really visible. Will those what they called best fat burners will work for her? I forgot to ask if she tried. But according to her, she tried everything except surgery. Poor woman so devastated. She said, how can she find the next man of her dream if those fats will remain forever? Well, not all men looking for skinny right?
