Taiwan is an island nation located off the coast of southeastern Chinese mainland. It has a nice mix of modern avenues of interest, gorgeous landscape, mountains and coastal regions. In fact, it is much beyond the popular Western perception of being a small island dotted with electronics factories. It has been inhabited by indigenous Taiwanese people for thousands of years and has a long cultural history. Popular destinations in the country include capital Taipei, New Taipei, Jiufen, Taichung, Puli, Tainan, Alishan, Taipingshan, Yushan and Lalashan. Taiwan has a fair share of natural parks and lakes with Kenting National Park, Shei-Pa National Park, Yangmingshan National Park and Sun Moon Lake being the most popular ones. The Kenting National Park has an intriguing location and geography; it is located on southernmost tip of the country and has pretty beautiful beaches. Reaching Taiwan Tourists can reach Taiwan by catching a flight to any one of its international airports. Alternatively, they can catch a ferry from mainland China, Hong Kong or some Japanese islands. When to visit Taiwan The period between October and December is the ideal time to visit the country. Soaring temperature (around 30 Celsius 86 F) and highly humid conditions prevail [...]<div class="feedflare">

Scotland is a top travel destination for good reason, as there’s plenty of amazing scenery, nightlife, and historical sites to soak up during your trip. Edinburgh and Glasgow are two of the most popular stops for tourists but it’s hard to go wrong with a visit anywhere in Scotland, especially in the spring and summer when the weather is more accommodating. Annual events such as T in the Park, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Hebridean Celtic Festival also draw big crowds each year, while various casinos cater to the slots and video poker crowd that looks to spice up their vacations with a little gambling action &#8212; or even pay for their trip if they get really lucky. Fans of the club scene won’t be disappointed either, with many different amazing clubs to choose from. Glasgow sports top clubs such as Arches, Sub Club, and Cube, where you’ll be able to check out top DJs in action as well as dance away into the wee hours of the night. Visitors to Edinburgh often flock to Leith Walk, Broughton Street, George Street and Cowgate, with hundreds of restaurants, bars, and clubs offering up an eclectic mix of live music and party scenes [...]<div class="feedflare">

Côte d&#8217;Azur and Nice have always been immensely popular among tourists from around the world. For many tourists Paris is everything about France, but we decided to give the notion a break and explore rest of the country. After having long discussion, we finalized on a tour to Nice and Côte d&#8217;Azur. Our flight landed at Nice Côte d&#8217;Azur Airport and we were picked up by our tour operator’s bus to city centre. We were taken along Promenade des Anglais, which is a seven kilometers long avenue connecting airport with the city center. The peculiar name of this avenue has an interesting story. Rich people from England settled here and constructed this avenue in starting of nineteenth century, hence the name. On one side of the avenue is a pebble beach along the Mediterranean and on the other are several cafes, stores, villas, tall buildings and restaurants. Numerous hotels and buildings with majestic build are also lined up here. The Négresco is one such hotel, built sometime in the nineteenth century and has been French national landmark since 1912. Nice is known for several carnivals that it hosts every year. We had planned our trip to be a part of [...]<div class="feedflare">

The Twelve Apostles are a collection of limestone stacks, situated on southeastern coast of Victoria province in Australia. Originally known as Sow and Piglets, these stacks were given their current name in 1922. These are among the better known destinations in Australia and draw millions of tourists every year. Visitors coming here can pay a visit to numerous other destinations like the Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell National Park and Melbourne. Formation of Twelve Apostles It is worthwhile to know something about formation of Twelve Apostles. These limestone stacks were built after gradual erosion. Soft limestone got eroded from cliffs to form caves. Gradually, these got turned into arches, which happened to collapse in due course of time. The Apostles were left behind after the collapse of the arches due to weather conditions. Quite interestingly, there were only nine such limestone stacks ever. These were named so only for boosting tourism, which has worked in a way. One of them collapsed in the year 2005, leaving eight of them behind. Nevertheless, the Apostles are immensely beautiful and often leave visitors mesmerized with their amazing geography in the background of the ocean. Visiting the Twelve Apostles It is not possible to [...]<div class="feedflare">

Surprisingly enough, our own Hawaii had not figured at all in our tour plans, even though we had been around half the world. So we, two friends and our families planned a trip to Hawaii last season. And boy, what a trip that was! It was an ultimate pleasure with lots and lots of partying, beach sports, jungle trekking and much more. We reached Honolulu, Oahu in wee hours of a Friday and it turned out to be a bright sunny day. Waikiki Beach was our destination there along with that of hundreds of others. Since a long weekend had just started, it had already getting crowded and a festive atmosphere had set in at around eight in morning itself. We roamed around and enjoyed almost each one of several water sports. The crystal clear waters at the Waikiki Beach are pretty stunning and inviting. The first day was all about beach, sun, sand and the vast ocean. Next day, we headed straight for Diamond Head Crater, the biggest landmark of Hawaii. We trekked for around half an hour and reached there. Trekking and climbing was not difficult as each one of us were pretty experience in it. It can [...]<div class="feedflare">

Denmark is a Scandinavian country, situated north of Germany. While Jutland is major part of the country, there are several islands towards its north, the main ones being Zealand and Funen, between the mainland and Sweden. It was a major European power in distant past and Viking warriors were infamous for wreaking havoc across Europe. Modern day Denmark is peaceful, progressive and a modern city. Quite interestingly, Denmark is home to some of the better known brands in the world, including Lego Toys and the Economist. The Danish architecture is legendary and the architectural sense of Danes is renowned around the world. The capital city of Copenhagen is a major world city and a popular tourist hub. Other prominent cities worth visiting in Denmark are Aarhus, Aalborg, Herning and Sønderborg. You ought to visit Kongernes Nordsjælland National Park for having a look at its unique flora and fauna and head for Herning for several stunning beaches. How to reach Denmark Most major airlines fly into Denmark, so reaching here is not an issue at all. It is well connected with other European cities via road and rail links as well.
