Last week I attended the Birch Box Man event at John Allan's Tribeca location.

This was on the invitation:

John Allan's is a Men's Club established in 1988 with locations in NYC, Chicago and Toronto.

The Shop: Along with the full assortment of John Allan’s product line, the shop houses a hand picked collection of independent designers for that perfect shirt or a made to measure suit

Art: a revolving collection of work by new artists are featured at each of the clubs and are available for purchase.

They even have a baseball bat that Michael Jordan used when he was…attempting to play baseball.

I met some friends upon arrival and we all opted to try a hot towel treatment!

There was a waiting list , but it didnt seem too long while enjoying great food and drinks-specifically the Arnold Palmers.

Who and What is Arnold Palmer?

Arnold Daniel Palmer is an American professional golfer, who is generally regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of men's professional golf.

The drink is a beverage consisting of ½ iced tea and ½ lemonade named after American golfer Arnold Palmer .

The tradition of calling a combination of iced tea and lemonade an “Arnold Palmer” began in the 1960s when a woman overheard Arnold Palmer ordering this drink and told the bartender “I’ll have that Palmer drink”

Tonight this fabulous drink was made with Jefferson's bourbon!

You can never go wrong with a shoe shine.

Apparently they always do them right at John Allan's!

What is a a Birch Box?

A Birch Box contains deluxe grooming and lifestyle samples delivered to your door for $20/month.

A bit pricey considering the women's service is $10/month, but I know some women who think the man version is much better.

Overall it's pretty good deal considering there was over $100 worth of product samples inside the one I received.

Teeth Whitener (for my cigar smoking) , shaving solution, moisturizer and more. There was even a Wrapster by QUIRKY , a nifty cure for headphone tangle and it doubles as a stand for your iPhone.

I can really get used to getting this in my mailbox every month.

It seems there is a lot of thought put into the content and brands that go inside the box.
