I recently discovered this delightful French blog and I just had to share it with you!! It's titled Morning by Foley and she is adorable! The blog is written in French but thankfully has a translate button on the right toolbar for those of us whose French reading skills are rather lacking.... :-) Truly it's her photos that shine on this sweet site - she is a girl after my own craft-diy-loving heart! Tres jolie!
These photos are from her birthday party - read about it here - she also includes a yummy looking cheesecake recipe and DIY how-to photos of some of the crafts!!
It's such a cheerful looking party! The curvy shapes of the tiny signs are total scene stealers! I mean the whole display is attractive but for me the details like the signs and ribbon trims are what make me say "Ooh la, la!"

I heart fairy tales! And since almost all fairy tales have a love story, I guess it's a natural that I also heart weddings! I had a lot of fun creating this organic collection of inspiring wedding images - the woodland feel is perfect for a storybook love :-)

The other day I needed some pillar candles for a decorative project and I wanted to put them in a cylinder vase (to protect the flame) - but the plain glass was just too boring for me. I also didn't have much time - so... I went to my trusty ribbon collection to inventory my options - sure enough I pulled out this lovely sage ribbon with the loopy trim - just right for my 5 minute project!
Supplies:
cylinder vase
pillar candle
ribbon
double stick tape
scissors
Step 1 :: Wrap ribbon around cylinder vase to measure length. Trim ribbon.
Step 2 :: Using a piece of double-stick tape attach end of ribbon to vase. Wrap ribbon around and using another piece of tape attach ribbon to vase.
Step 3 :: Put candle in vase and light!
That's all there is to it. Simple, right?

I recently saw this inspired wedding reception scene on the delightful Green Wedding Shoes blog. I completely heart Jen's blog!! Courtney with Joyful Weddings (I'm such a fan of hers too!) created this serene scene and I can't stop obsessing over the sweet details. I'm all excited for my Spring and Summer weddings to begin implementing some of these ideas!
I'm listening to The Watson Twins "Darlin' Song" off their Southern Manners cd while writing this - it's too perfect!

Last Wednesday I shared my recipe for Apricot Chocolate Bark. Today, I'm sharing my favorite WHITE chocolate version!
Apricot & White Chocolate Bark:
Makes approximately 24 pieces1 bag (11.5 ounces) white chocolate chips
20 medium size pieces of dried apricots, coarsely chopped
1 :: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
2 :: Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl, melt in 30 second increments to avoid burning the white chocolate. Stir every 30 seconds to be sure white chocolate isn't burning on the bottom.
3 :: Pour melted white chocolate onto parchment paper. Use a rubber spatula to help spread the white chocolate in a thin even layer.
4 :: Place chopped apricots on top of white chocolate. Press apricots gently into white chocolate.
5 :: Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes or until set.
Break into pieces and enjoy!

I have been reading about Style Me Pretty's new Style Circle and finally sat down to check it out. While I'm still exploring all the features - I have to say, I'm definitely a fan of the inspiration board feature. I had fun playing with elements of a yellow wedding to create the board you see here...a sunny, lemony treat!

I just found these adorable cake toppers from Lollipop Workshop via her etsy shop. "Happy little handmade things" is her slogan and I have to say it's just right for describing these little creations. Aren't they cute?!! Obviously they aren't right for everyone but if you want to add a bit of whimsy to your day - this is definitely not-to-be-missed!
Plus! They aren't just for weddings!! Really any occasion that calls for cake could have one of these delightful toppers. Imagine the possibilities!
They could also be cute gifts on their own without the cake - but really - why wouldn't we want cake?!
