4. Black Hat SEO is tedious.

This marketing style is mind-numbing with its serious and monotonous activity. You are always hiding behind in order not to get caught.

5. You cannot simply beat up Google.

Black Hat SEO is a method that aims for loopholes in current search engine algorithms. Search engines such as Google is composed of teams of experts constantly correcting errors to make search results more appropriate.
If you have in mind to create something to beat the system, it will just disappoint you in the long run.

Black Hat SEO is very tempting that many people have dived into it. It does work but superficially. You may get the higher rankings in search engines but only to find out being banned for disreputable practices. It is recommended that you try to avoid Black Hat SEO and anything that looks like it.

As I’m involved in providing workshop training to Tom Hua’s subscribers for the 3rd consecutive time in a row, I thought I may just write something about it.

It’s the kick start workshop for participants who subscribed to Tom Hua’s package during the recent Global Internet Seminar event held in Kuala Lumpur, due to the overwhelming response, we have to break the sessions into 2 groups due to the limited seats in the workshop venue which we have booked ahead of the event. The first session was conducted on the 28/June.

But wait… !

there’s a fundamental preparation you need to get your self equipped with before you embark on this exciting journey. I’ve seen way many beginners started out their journey, half way through their journey, got stuck and became frustrated and soon enough giving it all up.

Yes, the very basic thing that can stop your journey is simply your ability to manage your online usernames (some times is called login ID) and passwords. Can you imagine trying to login to your email, but you have forgotten the password, worst still, you do not have the hint on how to retrieve it back ? Sounds familiar eh ?

Now, the fact is most people out there do not have a proper system put in place in managing their username and passwords. Most beginners fail to realize that as they embark in internet marketing, they will come across more and more website requiring them to create their unique username and password. Many people try to simply memorize these information which proof to be an impossible task as the amount of information becomes larger and larger.

Some people have the habit to record these information such as web addresses, usernames and passwords on a piece of paper, sticky notes, some where in the pages of their note pad, books, which scattered around here and there, which does not sound so bad in the beginning, but the real test comes when they are trying to login to a certain website, and when they try to look for that very piece of information which they have jotted down some where, it takes them ages to find if ever it can be found ! Once again, this approach does not work as the end result has clearly revealed.

So the key here is getting these information well organized, so that it can be accessed easily and yet the security part of it is not being compromised.

The Solution

A cheap (in fact this is free) and easy way to get your password well managed is by putting these information on a spread sheet such as Microsoft Excel. Data such as date, web site address, email, user ID, passwords etc shall be recorded each time they are created. You may choose to save the spread sheet with password protection feature so that only you have the authority to view it’s content, hence avoiding your sensitive data from being stolen. If you do not already have a good system in place for managing your usernames and passwords, I strongly recommend you to download the above spread sheet and make good use of it, it will save you from lots of frustration days. Simply put your name and email below to get the sheet delivered to you immediately.

Well, I have been using the exact same sheet my self for years with hundreds of usernames and passwords that I had. But after a while, when the data size that I have to manage keep expanding, I find using a spread sheet is not efficient enough, hence I go for a third party software solution, and the market leader is none other then RoboForm. To keep this post short, I shall provide further review on RoboForm in my next post, but simply put it, I have to admit that nowadays I can’t live my online life without RoboForm

It may sound simple but I’ve seen too many cases where one has given up their pursue even before they get started ! How sad, but yet these are real life stories. You see, there are many information provided out there that tell you how good internet marketing can be, how big the potential is, how to reach out billions of internet users globally by just sitting at the comfort of your home, how easy making money online can be, how much money they have made online etc etc etc, essentially, it’s a perfect picture painted in front of your eyes that the promising land is so beautiful, so attractive that you will be a complete foolish if you do not cross over. But hey, guess what ? To some, once they have taken the giant step crossing over, suddenly they realize it’s not as simple as it may seems, there are lots of obstacles that has to overcome and all of a sudden the promising land appear to be an illusion that is beyond reach no matter how hard you are trying to get there. Hence the negative thought that internet marketing doesn’t work will start to creep in, and soon enough, it’s leads to the shameful give up of the battle before the war has even started.

So lets give a deeper thought of the question, ‘are you ready’ ?

One has to realize and accept the fact that like any other businesses, there is no walk in the park to achieve success in internet marketing, especially for beginners. There will be things one has to learn, and implement. There will be learning curve for each areas that one is not familiar with. There bound to be failures one has to encounter and learn from. Essentially, one has to expect spending time and resources in acquiring the new knowledge and putting them into works. So if you have such mindset, then you are set to go !

In summary, as attractive as internet marketing may seems to be, do not make a hush decision joining the crowd just because everyone is doing it, instead, set the proper mindset and the determination to succeed, then only the journey will be a pleasant one.

1. Download the theme from the above mentioned site or any other themes you can find

2. Unzip the downloaded file

3. Upload the theme (the whole folder which contain the theme files) to your wordpress folder under public_html/wp-content/themes/

4. Log in to your wordpress admin dashboard, go to Design > Themes and select the uploaded theme

As I will be doing extensive experiment and changes to this very blog of mine, I thought I may be interesting to see how it evolves over time, hence the screen shot of the very first blog to be remembered as time passes, do expect to see significant changes.

You see, for a very long time, I’ve been trying to acquire a domain name under my own name, that’s JeffreyTang.com , but unfortunately it has been taken by some one else, but with a twist of fate, and with some efforts on my part, I’ve finally get it, YES !!! Hey, how did I manage to get it will be a story of another blog post, coming soon…

So long story short, with a domain name that I can finally call my own, it seems that the necessity to create a blog just come naturally, after doing some online research, I’ve finally get it started, it’s pretty easy indeed, though at this point of time, there’s nothing much to be shout about in this very first beginning of my blog creation, but at least I have got it started, that’s what count the most, and over time, things can be improved gradually.
