Today I finally finish a new version of jQueryRotate. It contains some changes to API, as well as lot of bugfixes.

I also created whole new documentation page so I will no longer support it on a wilq32.adobeair.pl.

Currently all what you need to know (documentation, nice examples, etc.) are on http://code.google.com/p/jqueryrotate/

Fell free to use this script and let me know if you do so I can add your page on a list of webpages that uses it!

I'm not updating this blog every time I do release, but of course still alot is happening with jQueryRotate plugin that starts to become more and more popular. You can find newest version of it always at: http://code.google.com/p/jqueryrotate/

Here you can also raise an issue, request a new feature, or just comment the project. Hope you like this approach!

Balls Updated

Really small but quite famous game - Wilq32.Balls was updated with a few features about online high score. Now you can browse trough different difficult level (colors) and find yourself on a board.

In next update - stats for countries.

jQueryRotate plugin update

Even if there was not too many updates on a blog, there are things happening with few projects. jQueryRotate plugin has been updated few times since last entry on blog, most important change is support in IE that does not requires excanvas. A list of all fixes/updates:

- Added a support for animated gifs, now you can specify if you want to support them. Notice that this might slow down a bit other things on page because it needs to render images all the time. Use it if you really need it.
- Fixed problem of document.ready animations for images
- Fixed annoying bug in IE 8 by setting v\:image instead of v\: *.
- Whole new concept for IE - instead of using canvas itself - right now function uses a nice workaround using vml:image to rotate it faster. All of you involved please do some test with this!.
- Repaired some small bug - now you can rotate all elements like $(".images").
- Solved some problems with calling rotation again on the same object, now $("#element").rotate(angle) and .rotateAnimation(angle) and everything related returns proper reference to newly created object.

Try to play with it, use it!

jQueryPlugin update

Recently I change jQueryPlugin for IE to not use ExCanvas anymore. Istead we using a vml:image solution that works pretty good and pretty fast. Try a new version and give me some issues if you find any! Cheers.

After reading some book about Javascript i get an Idea of having class with private members that are accesible from other methods implemented on .prototype (as a reusable methods that spares alot of memory). Here is what I have done until now:

I added animation of rotating image on canvas and excanvas element. What a big deal here? Well, as you can see on page - there is no flash or any image preprocesing done on server. You can rotate images in most modern browsers (IE6, IE7, Opera, Safari, Chrome, FF), what was impossible for a long time until now ;) Check this out!

This is a simple game made in javascript on HTML5 element called CANVAS (actually I does not support IE in this game). This is more a develop stage, but actually I dont have time to spent more time on it and I doing other small projects too. So now game looks like this. Check link below for live online version.

Today I created a small script that uses mootools framework to make simple and nice looking gallery just by adding to img element class="Wilq32.ImageEffects(bigImage.jpg)". Any ideas welcome as a comment here.

This is a class inspired by http://www.netzgesta.de/cvi/ and their great http://www.netzgesta.de/instant/ instant.js class of images being little rotated. This class uses excanvas - google implementation that solves problem with canvas in IE. In future versions I planing little animation on mouseover/mouseout.

Description:
This is a small class that allows you to put big image as a small image with Magnifier. It uses keyboard arrows, or mouse to move around. You can turn on or turn off magnifier for an image. This is a function that you can add to i.e. onclick event on image.
